Baldur’s Gate 3 players shocked as most unexpected character shows up in camp
Larian StudiosDespite Baldur’s Gate 3 being months old, it still doesn’t fail to surprise everyone as one player discovered that an unexpected character can come to the camp as a consequence of some choices.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game full of surprises as nobody knows what consequences might their choices bring in the long run. Thanks to its innovative storyline and interesting D&D-based gameplay, BG3 managed to grab the Game of the Year award among a bunch of other accolades in 2023.
Surprises and Baldur’s Gate 3 seem to go hand-in-hand, as one player finds out that Yurgir, one of the most powerful characters in the game can even show up to the camp, shocking everyone else.
Reddit user ‘RKSSailboatCaptain’ posted about this in the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit as they were shocked to see Yurgir in their camp. They shared a screenshot of their gameplay as it showed Yurgir standing at a corner, ready to be interacted with.
However, to solve the mystery of his sudden appearance, one Baldur’s Gate 3 player clarified: “This only happens if you help him not kill [himself],” which is a choice that many do not prefer to help Astarion.
Basically, players would have to help Yurgir in Act 2 instead of getting into an extremely difficult fight against him straight away. Once players help him and reject Raphael again in Sharess Caress, Yurgir will show up in their camp, becoming a potential ally in the House of Hope fight.
“Man, I love the possibilities in this game!” claimed another player, while others were convinced that “Yurgir’s a f***ing bro” in Baldur’s Gate 3. Some even followed the quest in this manner and were still quite “surprised” to see Yurgir in their camp.
“It was such a wonderful surprise on my most recent run,” added another player. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game of choices, and successfully getting Yurgit to join the fight against Raphael would make it a lot more manageable.
