Fans of Dungeons & Dragons will undoubtedly remember the first installment of Baldur’s Gate from 1998. Baldur’s Gate is an RPG like Diablo 4, but based on the iconic tabletop game, it gained popularity back in the 90s and formed a large and loyal community.

More than 25 years after the first release of the Baldur’s Gate saga, Baldur’s Gate 3, the latest installment in the franchise, has finally arrived. This comprehensive guide will go over everything we know about Larian Studios’ latest RPG.

Baldur’s Gate 3 platforms

As of August 3, players can enjoy Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC. The PlayStation 5 version is set to release on release on September 6. Unfortunately, Xbox X|S Series players will have to wait a bit longer, as there is currently no estimated release date for the Xbox consoles due to development issues.

Since the game is on current-gen consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S Series, it’s unlikely that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be available on pre-gen consoles like the Xbox One anytime soon. There are currently no plans to bring it to the Nintendo Switch either.

Baldur’s Gate 3 features D&D 5th Edition rules.
