Sazza the goblin in Baldur's Gate 3

Your moral compass will be tested in Baldur’s Gate 3 when you’re faced with the decision to help Sazza break out from the cell druids put her into. Here’s everything you should know before deciding to help Sazza escape from Emerald Grove.

When traveling through Faerun in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll discover that even the slightest decision can define how your story will continue. This type of choice will come often while trying to solve how to get rid of the Mind Flayer’s parasites, especially when encountering situations like Sazza being incarcerated.

Sazza is one of the goblins who tries to raid Emerald Grove but is captured by druids instead. You’ll find her in a jail cell while somebody is threatening to shoot her. If you prevent them from killing her, she’ll try to convince you to free her in exchange for some help with your tadpole problem.

Remember that this article will contain spoilers and reveal outcomes that players might not be aware of. If you’re fine with it, you can check here whether you should Sazza escape from her cell or let her stay locked in Emerald Grove in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Should you help Sazza to escape in Baldur’s Gate 3?

You’ll find Sazza locked in a jail cell at the back of the Druid Grove in Baldur’s Gate 3. When finding the spot, you’ll encounter a cutscene that shows two Tieflings threatening to shoot her with a crossbow. If you choose to save her, you’ll have to decide from the following options:

Choosing to believe Sazza and helping her escape

After the Tieflings have gone, Sazza will try to convince you to let her out of the cell. The goblin will tell you that she can guide you to the goblins’ High Priestess. She will assure you that she’s the one who could help you find a cure for the Mind Flayer’s parasite. However, if you want to know more details about her, Sazza will demand you to let her escape her.

Sazza will convince the guards at the Goblin Camp and lead you to their High Priestess in Baldur’s Gate 3.

If you choose to break her free, you can do so by picking the lock of the cage using Thieves’ Tools. You’ll also need to help Sazza get out of Emerald Grove, since you can’t walk out of the location with a prisoner at your side.

After you get her out of the Grove, she’ll personally escort you to the tribe and will prevent the goblins from attacking you. If you follow her through the camp, she’ll also lead you to Minthara, which will let you side with the goblins over the druids and get her to your party.

Choosing to leave Sazza in jail

If you aren’t convinced by Sazza’s crass plead, you can leave her in jail. You can even change your mind and side with the goblins and meet the goblins’ priestess, although you’ll need to persuade them not to attack you when going through their camp.
