Finding Benryn and Mirileth’s dowry is one of those small quests that you can finish without any effort while playing Baldur’s Gate 3. Here’s where to find the mission and how to help Benryn to find his lost dowry.

How to start Benryn and Mirileth’s dowry quest in Baldur’s Gate 3

While traveling through the destroyed settlement at Waukeen’s Rest in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll get to know Benryn, a young man who is trapped in the burning house near the Waukeen’s Rest fast travel point. Once you rescue him, he’ll tell you that he was fighting with his wife about a valuable dowry before they were separated.

Benryn will ask you to find Mirileth, who’ll be lying dead on the first floor of the building. When you return to Benryn to tell him about her death, he’ll ask you to find the missing dowry.

Where to find Benryn’s dowry in Baldur’s Gate 3

In Baldur’s Gate 3, the easiest way for your character to learn about the dowry’s location is by asking Mirileth herself. If one of your characters has the spell of “Speak to the Death,” they can simply target Mirileth’s body, and you’ll be able to ask her a few questions about her valuables.

She will tell you that the dowry can be found inside a haystack in the barn behind the building she is in. You can then go to the lower level, go inside the barn (X: 101 Y: 627), and open a gilded chest that’s located next to the haystack.

Once you loot the chest, you can choose to keep the dowry or hand it to Benryn to complete this quest.
