The Boots of Stormy Clamour in Baldur’s Gate 3 are items with the unique “Arcane Echomalefaction” passive, an excellent debuff that is usually exclusive to those who choose to wield Illithid powers. But to get them you’ll need to complete the quest “Help Omelumm Investigate the Parasite” while exploring the Underdark.

While exploring the Myconid Colony (X:102, Y: -101) in the Underdark of Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll find a friendly Mind Flayer called Omeluum. After talking to him, you’ll need to follow these steps:
- Let Omeluum examine the parasite and accept his help.
- Go to the Arcane Tower (X:-4, Y:-29) to find the Tongue of Madness mushroom and Timmask Spores.
- After giving him the ingredients, he’ll craft a strange potion that you should drink, although it won’t work.
- Omeluum will offer his apologies and offer you the Ring of Mind-Shielding to keep the tadpole at bay. If you accept buying it from him, he’ll show you his inventory.
- Look for the Boots of Stormy Clamour and buy them for 126g.

- Arcane Echomalefaction: When the wearer inflicts a condition upon a hostile creature, they also inflict 2 turns of Reverberation.
