How to revive characters in Baldur’s Gate 3
There are three different methods that players can use to revive characters in Baldur’s Gate 3. The first involves using a Scroll of Revivify to bring your companions back into the fight, the second is to learn and use the Revivify spell, while the third is to speak with Withers, the Hooded Skeleton.
Use a Scroll of Revivify in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can utilize a Scroll of Revivify if an ally succumbs during combat, and it will promptly bring them back. Any character can utilize this spell, given they have the item in their possession.
Here’s how to get this done:
- Open your inventory.
- Look for the Scroll of Revivify.
- Select the item.
- Cast the spell.
Once that’s done, an Area of Effect (AoE) will appear on the screen. Choose your defeated teammate, and they will be resurrected.
How to get the Scroll of Revivify in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can get the Scroll of Revivify in Baldur’s Gate 3 by completing the Escape the Nautiloid quest in the Prologue. The following merchants also sell this valuable item:

Revivify Spell in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can revive characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 by learning the Revivify spell which is exclusive to the Cleric (Life, Light, and Trickery Domains) and Paladin classes. It is a level 3 spell that belongs to the Necromancy school and you’ll certainly need a high-level character to acquire it.
Talk to Withers in Baldur’s Gate 3
This method for reviving characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 becomes accessible by freeing Withers during the ‘Overgrown Ruins’ quest.
Once he becomes a part of your camp, follow these steps to revive a character through Withers:
- Once a character has fallen in combat, wait until the fight concludes.
- Quickly travel to your camp.
- Talk to Withers located by the beach.
- He will offer to resurrect any character for you at a price of 200 gold.
Withers can also respec any of your characters for just 100 gold.
