Harleep Baldur's Gate 3

Harleep’s deal in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be tempting for many if you are searching for information about the Orphic Hammer. Here’s whether you should accept or reject it in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Just like every other devil in Baldur’s Gate 3, Harleep will try to make a deal with you, offering what they know about the Orphic Hammer in exchange for your body. Although you can go for any option you like in the House of Hope, players are usually hesitant about what option to go for.

On that note, here’s whether you should accept or deny Harleep’s deal in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Harleep’s deal explained

Harleep is an incubus that works as Raphael’s personal consort in Baldur’s Gate 3. They’ll offer information on how to steal the Orphic Hammer if the main character agrees to sleep with them.

You can either accept or reject it, but just like every other devil’s deal, accepting it will come with its own set of consequences.

What happens when you reject Harleep in Baldur’s Gate 3?

If you reject Harleep’s advances in Baldur’s Gate 3, they become enraged and start a fight. Harleep is not an easy opponent since it’s a Level 9 Incubus, and will constantly spam their Ethereal Escape to be invulnerable for a while.

You can reject Harleep’s deal by simply selecting Option 2.

Alongside all that, you will also have to take down a bunch of other NPCs that will side with Harleep. This can become quite problematic if you are not proficient in ranged magic and waste turns trying to reach their locations.

Once you defeat Harleep, you can try for a Perception check success and discover a safe in the main wall. You can use a key found in Harleep’s inventory to open it, and you’ll find a note that reveals the necessary information to get the Orphic Hammer that you were searching for in the House of Hope.

What happens if you accept Harleep’s deal in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Accepting Harleep’s deal in Baldur’s Gate 3 will make you start engaging in sexual intercourse with them. They will first give you the choice to choose their gender before you engage in the activity with them, and show you that they can also turn into “Archduchess Raphael.”

You can still reject them even if you have moved ahead with their plans.

Keep in mind that you’ll get a couple more chances to reject them, but you’ll be able to do so now if you succeed in Constitution throws. If you manage to overpower them, then Harleep’s going to start a fight.

Once you are done, Harleep will let you know that they can now copy your body and whenever they use it, you won’t be able to escape an intense sense of pleasure wherever you are in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Although you get the information about the Orphic Hammer, it also comes at the cost of your public image: whenever Harleep is using “you” (provided you failed in the Constitution saving throw), you won’t be able to hide your reactions and receive some crude comments from your companions.

Additionally, if you decide to go ahead with Harleep’s deal, most companions like Shadowheart, Lae’zel, Karlach, and Astarion will disapprove of the idea.

Should you accept Harleep’s deal in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Finally, whether you should accept Harleep’s deal in Baldur’s Gate 3 depends on your playstyle and character. If you are confident in your combat abilities, you can definitely take them on in battle and get the Orphic Hammer’s information yourself.

However, if your character loves to engage in a bit of “fun” despite the perils of being with an Incubus, you can feel free to “enjoy” whatever Harleep has in store for you in the House of Hope.
