Known industry insider Tom Henderson has leaked details on the upcoming Battlefield 6, which is reportedly just going to be titled ‘BATTLEFIELD’ and will be set in the near future.
As we approach the announcement for the highly-anticipated Battlefield 6, leaks about its title, setting, and more have begun to surface. Industry insider and leaker Tom Henderson, aka LongSensation, has leaked a ton of info about Battlefield 2021’s release.
“Per sources, I can confirm that the next Battlefield installment will simply be called BATTLEFIELD and takes place around 10 years from now,” Henderson reported. “The title is set in a modern/very near future, which gives the developers a chance to be able to implement weapons and vehicles that are currently in military development today.”
The game will be similar to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, where it’s set “10-15 years from its release date.” Henderson claims we can expect “military robots (Boston Dynamics?), drones, jets, helicopters, tanks and that sort of thing.”
“Multiplayer will feature bigger and better battles and is described as ‘Battlefield 3/4 on steroids’,” he reported. It would also keep its class system, but also include abilities similar to Call of Duty’s perks.
Henderson also dispelled a previous Reddit leak that Battlefield 6 would be a hub for all Battlefield titles. This leak claimed that Battlefield 6 would be set across multiple eras and feature fan-favorite maps such as Wake Island and Operation Locker, but Henderson emphasized that this was not true.
Battlefield 6 battle royale
Like many fans have come to expect, Henderson reported that Battlefield 6 will indeed be receiving a battle royale “at some stage.”
However, this will be “completely disconnected from the Firestorm name,” and will have its own title. There is no word on if the battle royale will be free-to-play.
Battlefield 6’s “revolutionary” campaign
Battlefield’s campaign has always been a draw for fans, and Henderson’s sources report that “the game will feature a revolutionary campaign compared to other installments.”
Per Henderson’s sources, “The campaign will focus on you and your specialist unit, where you’ll be able to choose which superpower you fight for. In BATTLEFIELD, there isn’t necessarily “Axis and Allies” as you will be able to choose your own path. Both the USA and Russia, who are the games only standing superpowers, will offer to “recruit” your specialist team and their skills throughout the campaign, which will be a valuable asset to both sides. It would also appear like this year’s campaign is a co-op experience.”
According to Henderson, the trailer is set to drop “around May” and will be a cinematic similar to Battlefield V’s, rather than a gameplay showcase.

As we near the reveal for Battlefield 6, fans are desperate for any information on the latest Battlefield title. While leaks and rumors have been circulating, EA and DICE have kept their cards close to their chest.
However, DICE have provided an update on the future of Battlefield, which has revealed some exciting new details on 2021’s installment.
They have said that this year, they have “the biggest Battlefield development team ever working on our console and PC game for this Holiday season” as they work with “more world-class development studios within Electronic Arts.”
In this reveal, we finally have confirmation if Battlefield 2021 will be on next-gen consoles only. DICE said that all of these new features will be “brought to life with the power of next-gen consoles and PCs.” So from this announcement, we understand that this year’s Battlefield title will be on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles only, as well as PC.
While Battlefield 2021 may not arrive on Xbox One and PS4s, it’s rumored that it will launch on Xbox Game Pass on day one. There is also no word if Battlefield 6 will feature crossplay, but as this has become industry standard, it’s highly likely.

Battlefield Mobile: Release date, details, gameplay, setting
EA is bringing an epic, new Battlefield experience to mobile and tablet, here are all the big details such as its release date and gameplay.
EA is finally bringing an exclusive Battlefield game to mobile and tablets, so get all the latest information on DICE’s Battlefield Mobile: including its release date, and crucial details such as setting and gameplay features.
For years Battlefield has reigned on consoles and PCs, delivering one rich, compelling war experience after another. From the acclaimed Bad Company series to the epic Battlefield 2142, EA’s premiere first-person shooter franchise has been the king of large-scale gunplay.
But now, as well as a next-gen-only Battlefield game, players will be able to enjoy the same authentic feeling in the palms of their hands thanks to Battlefield Mobile.
Here’s everything we know about Battlefield Mobile on tablet and phones.
Battlefield Mobile release date
The game’s official press release indicated that DICE is “developing a completely new Battlefield game bringing all-out warfare to smartphones and tablets in 2022.”
So unless the game’s development is disrupted in some way, we can expect to be hands-on with Battlefield Mobile in 2022.
Battlefield Mobile setting
The much-lauded franchise has explored different reaches of human history with games set in different World Wars, the present day, and even way into the future.
DICE has indicated that Battlefield Mobile will be “A completely different game from the one we’re making for console and PC, designed specifically for the mobile platform.”
So whereas the new console version of Battlefield is rumored to be set during an alternate modern-day, it seems likely that Battlefield Mobile will venture off in a different direction.
Battlefield Mobile gameplay
Harnessing the power of state-of-the-art consoles and PCs, Battlefield has always been capable of housing huge skirmishes in war-torn maps with up to 64-players.
With Battlefield Mobile being a standalone game, it’s uncertain how many players a lobby will be able to hold. Smartphones have come a long way from the flip phones of yesteryear, but they are still limited by technology.
DICE has also confirmed that “This mobile game is now entering a testing period ahead of launching next year, so expect more details to come.” So it hopefully shouldn’t be too long until we know more.
Once more official details about Battlefield Mobile reach us we’ll be sure to update this page and keep you up-to-date with all the happenings with the game.
Also, make sure you’re on top of DICE’s PS5 & Xbox Series X-only Battlefield game with all the latest on the next console and PC version of Battlefield.

New leak claims Battlefield 6 may not have a campaign
Renowned leaker Tom Henderson has revealed that it’s unlikely Battlefield 6 will feature a single-player campaign.
Industry insider Tom Henderson, who has leaked a ton of Battlefield 6 details, has revealed that it’s likely 2021’s installment of the first-person shooter won’t feature a campaign.
Battlefield’s campaigns have been hit and miss for players. The Bad Company series and Battlefield 1’s “War Stories” are considered highlights, but many others are considered forgettable.
We’ve received a ton of information about the next Battlefield, including its title, setting, and the possibility of a battle royale. The one aspect of the game very little is known about is the campaign, and leaker and industry insider Tom Henderson believes the game may not feature a campaign at all.
Henderson took to Twitter to counter a recent Reddit leak that contradicted some of his reporting. He shot down the leak that, “If you were on the US team, you could choose a US, Australian, British, French, Japanese, or German soldier,” saying that “This is not correct.”
He then revealed that “You’re a group of individuals from fallen nations – You’re free to fight to fight for which ever side you want. So in theory a Japanese soldier could fight for both the USA and Russia.”
After players understood this to be the plot and mechanics for the campaign, Henderson clarified that it isn’t. He said: “I’ve not heard there’s a campaign.” He continued to say that what he “originally heard on it was actually the plot.”
Here, he refers to the leak that Battlefield 6 would have a “revolutionary campaign.” In a follow-up to this leak, Henderson said on March 30, “The information given to me was interpreted as campaign information, but is actually the backstory of the game itself. So as of yet, a campaign is not confirmed.”
We reached out to Tom Henderson and he clarified that because neither he nor anyone else has heard anything about a campaign, “it kind of leans to the fact that there isn’t a campaign this year.”
With the trailer expected to drop after EA’s investment call in May, we’re likely to know much more about the next installment of the shooter franchise soon.
