Mindblowing Battlefield 2042 feature lets players grapple onto literal tornadoes
In Battlefield 2042, players can use a grappling hook to traverse the map with Specialist Mackay. However, some have found a bizarre use for it involving tornadoes and smoke.
Battlefield 2042 has been receiving quite a lot of stick since its launch. From players not being too happy with the map design to Shroud explaining why weapon bloom is ruining the game.
Despite these issues, players can still have a great time on Battlefield 2042. There are many vehicles and ways to traverse the huge maps, but one player may have found the most mind-blowing way to do so.
Every now and then, Battlefield 2042 will throw a dynamic weather event into the map. This doesn’t happen very often, and when it does it is truly mesmerizing.
The tornadoes are huge and leave players no choice but to run. There is no way to stop these natural inconveniences, but one player has discovered a pretty hilarious way to utilize them.
The original post is by JedJungle, where they show off a bizarre trick that allows players to grapple onto smoke.
This is obviously quite odd, as the concept of grappling smoke doesn’t make physical sense. However, it’s a pretty useful tip, and there are definitely ways that players can come up with some interesting plays using the smoke and grapple technique.
Of course, it doesn’t stop there, as one player in the comments also pointed out that the trick works with tornadoes: “Or onto Tornados.”
This is pretty hilarious, as not only can players use the grapple to climb buildings and other solid surfaces, but it can also be used to defy physics.
While some aren’t too bothered about the “glitch,” for others it makes the game even more disappointing: “This game is disappointing me more and more. Classic EA ofc.” Perhaps this will cause the devs to look into the way in which the grapple interacts with smoke and tornadoes.
