Battlefield 2042 specialists

Battlefield 2042’s All-Out Warfare offers 22 weapons in a range of categories, but not every one of them can be considered one of Battlefield 2042’s best guns. So, we’ve ranked every gun from best to worst and counted down the top 10.

Battlefield 2042 has finally arrived, and DICE is working hard to fix the bugs and issues that have plagued the game since launch. The bloom mechanic stopped much of the weapons from being effective at range but now that’s fixed, there can be much more variety in their choices.

Any Specialist can use weapons from the SMG, Assault Rifle, LMG, Marksman, Sniper, Utility, and Secondary categories. But some weapons proved to be more effective than others, so we’re taking a look at the best of the best.

We’ve ranked every gun in Battlefield 2042’s All-Out Warfare and counted down the top five.

Best guns in Battlefield 2042 All-Out Warfare

10. DM7

The DM7 is the first Marksman Rifle you unlock in Battlefield 2042, yet it’s still an extremely solid choice. With a solid fire rate and very little recoil, you’ll be able to land multiple shots on your enemies in quick succession.

It used to struggle at range thanks to the “oppressive” bloom mechanic, but following the November 25 update, it’s a solid choice no matter the range. You’ll be able to batter opponents at close range and then use the Plus System to kit it to pick-off long-range targets.

9. NTW-50

The NTW-50 is the heaviest Sniper Rifle in Battlefield 2042, but that means it packs a serious punch.

If you’re an infantry player you’ll know how difficult it is to come against vehicles, but the NTW-50 solves that problem. You’ll be able to make short work of any vehicle that crosses your path, whether that’s a Hovercraft, tank, or helicopter. Plus, it’s lethal to infantry players as well.

However, you should use the NTW-50 as much as you can, as DICE has confirmed that its vehicle damage will be nerfed in a future update.

8. PBX-45

Although Battlefield 2042’s maps are massive, there are still plenty of opportunities for close-range combat. This is where the PBX-45 really shines, being a great weapon for pushing objectives and getting in enemies’ faces.

It will start to struggle at longer ranges, but keep to the confines of buildings and you’ll be able to tear through any enemy that gets in your way.

7. M44

Perhaps a surprising choice, the M44 revolver is arguably the best secondary in the game.

Not only can it one-shot headshot foes, but packs a serious punch in its body damage too. You can even equip it with a 4x scope through the Plus System, making it effective at close-medium range. If you’re looking for a powerful hand cannon to run at your side, we recommend the M44.

6. MP9

Another SMG, the MP9 is also a great choice for getting in enemy’s faces. What makes it so effective is a fast fire rate which gives it an incredibly low TTK.

Now that bullet spread has been fixed, the MP9 is even a solid choice in mid-range fights, but you’ll need to be wary of burning through your ammo. Any SMG makes for a solid choice in Battlefield 2042, so the MP9 is well-worth your time.

5. K30

The K30, often called the KRISS Vector, is one of the best close-range options in the game. With an extremely low TTK, enemies unfortunate enough to come up against it don’t stand a chance.

Even if an objective is swarming with foes, you can use the Plus System to fit a Suppressor and run and gun without them figuring out where you’re going to strike from next. It does have a considerable kick, but stick to its ideal range and you’ll almost be unstoppable.

4. SWS-10

Battlefield has always been known for its incredibly satisfying sniping, and the SWS-10 allows for just that. Being the first Sniper Rifle you unlock, it’s become the go-to for many players – not only because it’s powerful, but because it’s fun to use.

Whether taking long-range shots or pushing onto objectives, the Plus System allows you to tailor the SWS to your preference. This allows for several sniping playstyles in one life, which is especially useful for 2042’s massive maps.

If you’re looking for some classic Battlefield sniping with an excellent all-rounder, the SWS-10 will be the Sniper Rifle for you.

3. M5A3

Assault Rifles are powerful tools in every FPS game, and Battlefield 2042’s M5A3 is no different. With a solid TTK and incredibly straightforward recoil, it’s the perfect all-rounder.

Fitted with a Red Dot Sight, you can easily use it for close-range engagements. Then, you can use the Plus System to attach the 4x scope and laser enemies at range.

While the other weapons on this list are powerful, the M5A3 will be an excellent choice for beginners and long-time Battlefield fans alike.

2. SVK

The SVK Marksman Rifle is a deadly choice in Battlefield 2042, with it able to down a player in only two shots to the body and one to the head.

We’ve ranked the SVK above the SWS-10 because it’s extremely easy to use. It has incredibly fast bullet velocity so you won’t have much trouble landing those far away shots, and its semi-automatic fire rate makes it much more forgiving.

No matter your playstyle, the Plus System allows the SVK to be a dominant weapon in any situation.

1. LCMG

In the large-scale chaos of Battlefield 2042, having a huge magazine at your disposal is a powerful tool. The LCMG has proved itself to be the best weapon for Battlefield 2042’s massive battles, with its low recoil and huge ammo belt allowing players to rip through multiple enemies without ever having to worry about reloading.

It’s slightly slower than some of the other weapons on this list, but once you’ve mastered it, you’ll have no issue mowing down enemy after enemy.

Take any weapon on this list into Battlefield 2042 and you’ll be one of the most powerful forces on the battlefield.
