Here are the best attachments, Specialist, and Gadget to maximize the PP-29 SMG’s potential in Battlefield 2042.

The PP-29 is one of the best weapons in Battlefield 2042, being deadly accurate with minimal recoil. Here are the attachments, Gadgets, and Specialist you should use to create the best PP-29 loadout in Battlefield 2042.

Even though it’s an SMG, the PP-29 is one of the most accurate weapons in Battlefield 2042. It doesn’t suffer from the bullet spread mechanic that plagues Assault Rifles and Marksman Rifles, so it’s one of the best all-around weapons in the game.

And it can be made even better with the right attachments, Specialist, and Gadget – so here’s how to build the best PP-29 loadout in Battlefield 2042.

Best PP-29 loadout attachments in Battlefield 2042

PP29 in battlefield 2042 menus
  • Barrel: Extended Barrel / Suppressor
  • Sight: Fusion Holo
  • Ammo: Standard Issue
  • Underbarrel: Default

To start this PP-29 loadout, we recommend having both the Extended Barrel and Suppressor in your attachment Plus System screen. The Extended Barrel is perfect for moving between Objectives where you need some more range, and then you can switch to the Suppressor when you’re near enemies to be silent and stealthy.

For the sight, there’s no better option than the Fusion Holo. It’s the standard red dot sight, which gives perfect clarity in the kind of fights you’ll be taking with the PP-29.

And for the magazine, Standard Issue is a solid choice. You’ll get 65 rounds in the magazine, and it will give solid boosts to the recoil control, reload speed, and rate of fire. And there aren’t any Underbarrel options, so you don’t need to worry about that.

Best Specialist to use with PP-29 in Battlefield 2042

You want a Specialist that allows you to be as nimble as possible while navigating the map with the PP-29, and this is where Mackay comes in.

Mackay’s Grappling Hook is one of the most useful tools in the game, allowing him to quickly reach the high ground and get out of less-than-ideal situations fast. And his Nimble Trait speeds up your movement speed while aiming, making you a difficult target.

Best Gadget to use with PP-29 in Battlefield 2042

For the best Gadget to run with the PP-29, we recommend using the Recoilless M5 launcher.

Hovercrafts, tanks, and helicopters roam the battlefield spelling death for anyone caught in their way. With the Recoilless, you have a bit of defense, being able to deal serious damage to any nearby vehicles.

How to unlock PP-29 in Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 players can unlock the PP-29 at Level 18 in multiplayer, which makes it one of the earlier unlocks.

It shouldn’t take too long to reach level 18, but prioritize playing the objective to rack up points and you’ll reach it before you know it.

Best alternatives to the PP-29 in Battlefield 2042

SMGs have quickly become some of Battlefield 2042’s best weapons, and there are some extremely solid choices.

The PBX-45 will be the first SMG you unlock as you’re leveling up, which makes it ideal until you unlock the PP-29. Then you can unlock the K30 SMG later, which proved to be a powerful and agile choice in the Beta.

And that’s everything you need to make the best PP-29 loadout in Battlefield 2042!

Strange Battlefield 2042 bug lets players completely turn off enemy smoke grenades

Battlefield 2042 players have discovered a bug that allows them to completely turn off the effects of smoke grenades.

Smoke grenade in Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 players have across a new bug that lets them completely negate the effects of enemy smoke grenades, making them completely useless in combat.

Battlefield 2042 has been facing quite a few problems since its arrival, from players complaining about the map design to Shroud explaining why weapon bloom is ruining the game.

Now, players have discovered a bug involving smoke grenades and one of the in-game menus, which lets players turn off the effects of that piece of gear, making it completely useless during fights.

Reddit user Jagsfootball51 highlighted this glitch in the Battlefield 2042 subreddit. “You can completely negate a smoke grenade just by opening the menu and going to [the] Collections [tab],” they stated.

The clip showcased the Redditor looking at some enemies who then threw down a smoke grenade before attempting to revive their teammates. However, the player was able to negate the smoke grenade.

They did this by opening the in-game menu and heading to the Collections tab before returning to the game. The enemy smoke grenades had completely disappeared from their screen after this.

Many of the commenters were surprised by this glitch and expressed their frustration with how this makes grenades completely useless. “This game is so broken,” one user wrote. “This needs an insta-fix.”

At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether or not the developers are aware of this issue. Hopefully, they’ll investigate the bug and implement a fix because this might be game-breaking.

Mindblowing Battlefield 2042 feature lets players grapple onto literal tornadoes

Battlefield 2042 players have noticed an odd trick that allows players to utilize a grappling hook and tornadoes for movement.

In Battlefield 2042, players can use a grappling hook to traverse the map with Specialist Mackay. However, some have found a bizarre use for it involving tornadoes and smoke.

Battlefield 2042 has been receiving quite a lot of stick since its launch. From players not being too happy with the map design to Shroud explaining why weapon bloom is ruining the game.

Despite these issues, players can still have a great time on Battlefield 2042. There are many vehicles and ways to traverse the huge maps, but one player may have found the most mind-blowing way to do so.

Every now and then, Battlefield 2042 will throw a dynamic weather event into the map. This doesn’t happen very often, and when it does it is truly mesmerizing.

The tornadoes are huge and leave players no choice but to run. There is no way to stop these natural inconveniences, but one player has discovered a pretty hilarious way to utilize them.

The original post is by JedJungle, where they show off a bizarre trick that allows players to grapple onto smoke.

This is obviously quite odd, as the concept of grappling smoke doesn’t make physical sense. However, it’s a pretty useful tip, and there are definitely ways that players can come up with some interesting plays using the smoke and grapple technique.

Of course, it doesn’t stop there, as one player in the comments also pointed out that the trick works with tornadoes: “Or onto Tornados.”

This is pretty hilarious, as not only can players use the grapple to climb buildings and other solid surfaces, but it can also be used to defy physics.

While some aren’t too bothered about the “glitch,” for others it makes the game even more disappointing: “This game is disappointing me more and more. Classic EA ofc.” Perhaps this will cause the devs to look into the way in which the grapple interacts with smoke and tornadoes.

Furious Shroud explains why weapon bloom is making Battlefield 2042 a “sh*t game”

Twitch star Shroud has chimed in on the issue of Battlefield 2042’s weapon bloom, explaining why he hates this mechanic.

Shroud and Battlefield 2042 weapon

Former CS:GO pro Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has expressed his frustration with Battlefield 2042’s weapon bloom mechanic, claiming that it’s ruining the game in its current state.

Battlefield 2042 has finally arrived on PC and consoles, but the game’s launch has come with a few problems. Many players have complained about the weapon bloom mechanic, claiming that it is affecting their accuracy.

Twitch streamer Shroud has joined the ranks of players fuming with this issue, saying he hates the mechanic so much that it caused him to fly off the handle in the middle of a match.

Battlefield 2042 character holding an Assault Rifle

Many of Shroud’s shots were barely hitting their targets during his playthrough of Battlefield 2042. Considering that he’s known for having great accuracy thanks to his CS:GO career, he attributed this problem to the weapon bloom.

“Hello?” he yelled. “Dude, the gun bloom! Why is there so much? I’m shooting right at him and there’s just nothing happening, the bullets keep missing.”

Shroud was firing directly at his opponent’s head but the bullet spread was making it impossible to hit them. He cursed at the mechanic and explained that it completely ruined his accuracy.

“You can’t even predict bloom either, because if the gun does randomly go straight you have to be aiming there,” he elaborated. “Aiming to the side, there’s just no point doing that really. None of it makes sense.”

This mechanic messes with weapon accuracy, and many players have noted that it has made weapons like Assault Rifles impossible to use. Shroud angrily stated that weapon bloom just makes the game “sh*t.”

“Only really bad games stop you from shooting straight,” he stated. “I mean, hopefully, DICE will fix it soon, but that feels like copium, honestly.”

The November 25 update made some changes to try and fix this issue. At the time of writing, it remains to be seen whether or not the developers will implement some more adjustments to weapon bloom soon.
