The FFAR is a Black Ops Cold War Assault Rifle with an exceptional rate of fire, so here’s the best loadout to maximize its potential in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1.
Although being an Assault Rifle, the FFAR is one of the strongest ground-loot weapons in Warzone Season 1 and it has an excellent rate of fire with manageable recoil. It also acts similar to Modern Warfare’s RAM-7 which has been a popular choice in previous seasons. It can melt armor at close range while also being able to beam at longer ranges.
Thanks to the recent nerfs dished out to popular META weapons in Warzone such as the DMR and Mac-10, the FFAR has once again become a popular option for players to use. We believe we have the optimal loadout to make the best use of this blisteringly powerful gun.
Here are the best attachments to maximize the FFAR’s potential in Verdansk and Rebirth Island.
Best FFAR Warzone loadout
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 19.5″ Reinforced Heavy
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition: Salvo 50 Rnd Fast Mag
- Rear Grip: SASR Jungle Grip
We’ve built this FFAR to dominate at medium range. It can also be a surprisingly useful gun at close-range too. Nerfs have meant that the MAC-10 and akimbo Diamattis are still pretty good in close-quarters, but the FFAR can go toe-to-toe with them now.

For attachments, we’re starting with the Agency Suppressor. This works much the same as Modern Warfare’s Monolithic Suppressor, which increases the rifle’s effectiveness at range while also keeping you off the minimap.
Next, you should add the 19.5″ Reinforced Barrel. This increases the FFAR’s bullet velocity, meaning it’s easier to hit moving targets from further away. It also has a small bonus to the weapon’s effective damage range too.
The FFAR does bounce around while firing, so we’ve added the Field Agent Foregrip to help keep it under control. Pull down on your thumbstick or mouse and you won’t have too much trouble controlling the recoil.
The weapon did get a secret buff before Christmas which also increased the weapon’s accuracy by reducing the horizontal recoil. So it works well in tandem with this knowledge.
For ammunition, we’ve gone with the Salvo 50 Rnd Fast Mag. This extended magazine will reduce your need to reload so you can take down multiple enemies in quick succession. With the prevalence of Self-Revive in Warzone too, finishing a knocked player could be the difference between a win and a loss. As an added bonus, this mag also has an in-built Sleight of Hand.
The iron sight is unobtrusive, so an optic won’t be necessary. Instead, we’ve added the SASR Jungle Grip which increases your ADS time and flinch resistance. Whether you need to react to an ambush or quickly follow up on a sniper shot, a fast ADS time is a huge benefit.
Pair this FFAR with a Sniper Rifle and you’ll find this loadout to be extremely strong in Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

Best PKM loadout for CoD Warzone Season 1
The PKM is one of Warzone’s strongest LMGs, and with these attachments and perks, you’ll be wiping squads in seconds.
The PKM is one of the strongest LMGs in Warzone, excelling at range with a high damage potential and large magazine size.
There is no distinct meta in Warzone Season 1 following the DMR’s nerf, and the PKM can keep up with the best Kilo 141 and CR-56 AMAX builds. It’s especially effective against snipers as its ammunition belt allows for heavy suppressive fire.
The PKM is a great addition to any Warzone squad but also holds its own in BR solos. Here are the best builds to maximize its potential across Verdansk and Rebirth Island.
Best Warzone PKM loadout
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: 26.9″ Extended Barrel
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
This PKM build is much slower than Assault Rifles in the primary category, so make sure you have a strong close-range weapon as your secondary such as the MP5.
Stick to the outdoors or hold down buildings with this loadout and you’ll find squads running for cover as you reign a relentless hundred rounds down on them.
As this PKM is built for range, the Monolithic Suppressor and 26.9″ Extended Barrel are necessary for maximizing its damage potential. The VLK 3.0x Optic also helps with range with its magnification and hidden buff to recoil control. In most circumstances, 100 rounds will be enough but be careful of using the PKM out in the open as it has a slow reload time.
To help keep the PKM under control we’re adding a Commando Foregrip. This weapon will still kick somewhat so you’ll need to pull down your analog stick or mouse to control it. Finding a surface to mount on will make this already powerful weapon devastating.
All these attachments which maximize range slow the weapon down. Adding a Tac Laser to the weapon counters these heavy attachments, vastly increasing its ADS time. If you get caught in an ambush or spot a sniper glint, you’ll still have time to react and get shots downrange.
Best perks to use with Warzone PKM
A Warzone loadout is nothing without its perks, so you want to run upgrades that will help you to survive in any situation.
Explosives are incredibly lethal in Warzone, which is why so many players run semtex as their lethal equipment. If you have any hope of surviving a barrage of explosives, you need to run E.O.D. As long as you have any armor, you’ll be able to tank explosions.
Overkill then Ghost
When carrying an LMG, you’ll need something for CQB in your pocket. An SMG or shotgun will be crucial to winning close-range fights, and Overkill allows you to receive two primary weapons from one loadout drop.
You’ll also want the Ghost perk to keep you hidden from UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors, so have an identical PKM class with Ghost equipped, and from your second loadout, you’ll get everything you need for the game ahead.
As the PKM is a light machine gun, it’s extremely heavy. Swapping weapons while carrying an LMG is a tedious task, and will probably get you killed while in a pinch. Amped vastly increases your weapon swap speed, meaning you can pull out an SMG almost instantly.
Use this attachments and perks with your PKM in Warzone, and you’ll be able to put an insane amount of damage downrange.

Code Red Warzone tournament anti-cheat
In order to combat cheaters, BoomTV has set strict rules players must meet before starting the tournament.
PC players are required to stream, must have VODS (past broadcasts) enabled, and should begin their stream 10-15 minutes before the tournament starts.
Before launching Warzone, they must scroll through task manager so that Boom TV staff can see what they have running. Then they must launch Warzone with task manager still running, and scroll through it again.
And to stop players from ‘smurfing’ by using a lower skilled account to avoid skill-based matchmaking, competitors must play on their main account.

Bizarre parachute glitch ruins Warzone players landing
A bizarre glitch has appeared in Call of Duty: Warzone for a player, which results in a hilarious animation while parachuting.
A bizarre, yet hilarious glitch has appeared in Call of Duty: Warzone and it is extremely disruptive when trying to parachute onto the map.
Call of Duty: Warzone has quite the history of game-breaking glitches, causing varying degrees of issues for players. These glitches include the very disruptive stim glitch, and the frustrating wall breach bugs.
Newest to the show is the introduction of a parachute glitch that leaves players in a state where they descend slowly to the ground, unable to do anything but watch. While annoying, the glitch is also hilarious, putting the character in a warped animation state that resembles the thriller dance.
You can watch footage of the bug below, posted by a Redditor. The bug itself seems to be based on the parachute getting forced in an odd direction, resulting in the character appearing tangled in the strings.
While this bug would be frustrating for any players stuck in it, it is worth noting this is the first we’ve seen of this particular issue. It also doesn’t help that the clip has minimal context, so it very well could be the result of a connection issue with the original poster.
Considering the game doesn’t appear to be lagging at all, it may be safe to assume this is a legitimate bug in Warzone. We think its highly unlikely you’ll run into this yourself, but if you do, don’t hesitate to tweet us some footage @CharlieIntel.
Best case scenario, the laughs end here and Raven Software patches this in the next update. We’ll be sure to report if more players begin to run into this bug.
