Here are the best audio settings for Halo Infinite Season 1, including how to fix the frustrating bug that mutes sound behind you.

Master Chief with AR in Halo Infinite

Sound is extremely important in competitive FPS games, so here are the best audio settings for Halo Infinite Season 1, including how to fix the bug that mutes all sound from behind.

Halo Infinite’s multiplayer launched almost a month early, offering the classic sci-fi FPS experience to casual and competitive fans alike.

But no matter the mode, you always want to be playing your best. Using the best controller, FOV, and PC settings are important, but audio is equally necessary. Hearing every aspect of the game will grant more spatial awareness, vastly improving your reaction times.

Here are the best audio settings for Halo Infinite, as well as how to fix the issue that mutes all sounds behind you.

Best Halo Infinite audio settings

  • Main: 9
  • Voice: 7
  • Music: 4
  • Sound Effects: 10
  • Environmental Effects: 4
  • Hit Detection Effects: 10
  • Inactive Mute: Off

Most of the volume options are down to personal choice, but you always want to make sure that Sound Effects and Hit Detection Effects are turned all the way up.

It can be quite difficult to hear enemy footsteps and notice you’re getting shot, so you want to increase your chances of hearing these things as much as possible.

Dynamic Range: Dynamic Mode

You should ensure Dynamic Range is set to Dynamic Mode, as it will make it so that “loud sounds are loud and quiet sounds are quiet,” making the audio sounds more natural and less flat.

  • Visibility: On
  • Display: All
  • Size: Medium
  • Background Opacity: 0.7
  • Highlight: Speaker

If you want to use subtitles while playing Halo Infinite, we recommend using the settings above.

  • Voice Chat Input Device: Your microphone/headset
  • Voice Chat Mode: Push-to-Talk
  • Fireteam & Lobby Chat: On
  • Match Chat: On
  • Incoming Voice Chat Volume: 9
  • Spartan Chatter: On

Push-to-Talk is the best option for playing Halo Infinite, as you can choose when you want to be heard. But you should set it to Open Mic if you want to have full, open communication with your team.

We also recommend having Spartan Chatter on, as you’ll be able to hear what in-game characters call out, giving you a little bit more awareness.

How to fix Halo Infinite audio issues

Master Chief helmet in Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite players have complained that the footstep and hit indication audio are next to useless, with it almost impossible to hear anything behind you. Top streamer Dr Disrespect has already said there needs to be more indication that you’re getting shot, but it appears a bug is making things worse.

There’s currently an issue in Halo Infinite where using the wrong headphone settings will mute all sounds coming from behind you. But luckily, Reddit user rhylte appears to have discovered a temporary fix.

Halo Infinite expects your headphones to be set to Stereo, but Windows can default your headphones to Surround 7.1. Using 7.1 will mute all sounds behind you when playing Halo Infinite, so thanks to rhylte, here’s how to fix it.

How to select Stereo audio for Halo Infinite

Here’s how to switch your audio to Stereo:

  1. Right click the Sound Icon on your taskbar
  2. Click on ‘Sounds’
  3. Select the ‘Playback’ tab
  4. Select your device and hit ‘Configure’
  5. Under ‘Choose your configuration’ and ‘Audio Channels,’ click on ‘Stereo’

How to fix Stereo audio missing bug

However, not everyone will have Stereo listed as an option, so rhylte provided a fix for this too:

  1. Open ‘Device Manager’
  2. Expand ‘Sound, video and game controllers’
  3. Right click your output device and click ‘Update driver’
  4. Click ‘Browse my computer for drivers’
  5. Click ‘Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer’
  6. Select ‘USB Audio Device’ and click ‘Next’
  7. Restart your computer
  8. Go to ‘Sound control panel’ by right-clicking the sound icon on your taskbar, clicking on ‘sound,’ and then the ‘Playback’ tab
  9. Select your output device, and click ‘Configure’
  10. Select the ‘Stereo’ option and then click ‘Next’ to finish the configuration

How to roll back audio drivers

rhylte said that if you can roll back your drivers if updating the drivers brought any unexpected issues. To do this, you need to:

  1. Open ‘Device Manager’
  2. Expand ‘Sound, video and game controllers’
  3. Double-click on your output device
  4. Select the ‘Driver’ tab
  5. Either:
    • Click ‘Roll Back Driver’
    • Click ‘Update Driver’ and select “the driver appropriate for your device (made by the manufacturer)”
  6. If this doesn’t work, you can uninstall and reinstall the device

You should now be able to hear everything behind you in Halo Infinite, making a huge difference to the audio and your own performance!

How to complete FIFA 22 Player Moments Vardy SBC

A Moments Vardy SBC is up for grabs during the FIFA 22 Shapeshifters promo and here’s the cheapest solution for Ultimate Team players.

FIFA 22 Vardy SBC player moments

FIFA 22 players will have a chance to secure a 96-rated Premier League winger via SBC during the Shapeshifters promo. Here’s how to complete the Player Moments Vardy SBC, along with the cheapest solutions.

EA’s follow-up to Team of the Season has been an incredible success with players enjoying everything Shapeshifters has to offer. Players currently have their hands full collecting Summer Swaps Tokens, but you won’t want to miss this Vardy SBC.

EA have listed this SBC as a Shapeshifters Player Moments item which combines the promo’s position change with the celebration of an iconic moment. This Vardy SBC is set to celebrate his performance against Manchester United in the 2014/2015 season.

Here’s how to complete the Player Moments Vardy SBC, along with the cheapest solutions.

FIFA 22 Player Moments Vardy stats

Vardy FIFA 22 SBC stats

For starters, Jamie Vardy has never felt like the most dynamic player in FIFA 22, but the 4* skill moves and 5* weak foot upgrade should add to his unpredictability.

Thanks to his LW position change, Vardy is an excellent option for Premier League squads. For most, Shapeshifters Ronaldo, Fantasy FUT Rashford, and TOTS Mane will be out of reach which makes Vardy a great alternative.

Of course, Vardy is known for his pace and prowess in front of goal which explains the 99 Finishing, 99 Positioning, 99 Shot Power, 98 Acceleration, and 97 Sprint Speed.

To complete this SBC, players will need to give up three squads: England, Premier League, and 86-Rated Squad. With a value of around 335,000 coins, Vardy is not as overpriced as previous Premier League SBCs in FIFA 22.

You can check out the cheapest solution below.

England requirements

  • # of players from England: Min 1
  • # of TOTW or TOTS players: Min 1
  • Squad Rating: Min 84
  • Team Chemistry: Min 70

England solution – Cost: 83,500 coins

Premier League requirements

  • # of players from the Premier League: Min 1
  • # of TOTW or TOTS players: Min 1
  • Squad Rating: Min 85
  • Team Chemistry: Min 65

Premier League solution – Cost: 121,000 coins

Premier League SBC solution FIFA 22 Vardy

86-Rated Squad requirements

  • Squad Rating: Min 86
  • Team Chemistry: Min 60

86-Rated Squad solution – Cost: 135,000 coins

Vardy SBC FIFA 22 solution 86-rated squad

The Player Moments Vardy SBC will be available for one week as it expires on July 5. The three squads shouldn’t set you back too much but you’ll need to expend two TOTS or TOTW players in total.

Vardy is not a meta-defining player at this stage of the game, but he can certainly improve Premier League squads that aren’t utilizing one of the top players in the game like Ronaldo or Mane.

Fortnite Creative 2.0: Unreal Editor release window, features, leaks, more

Here’s everything we know about Fortnite’s upcoming Creative 2.0, the next evolution of the extremely popular Creative mode.

Fortnite Creative 2.0

Fortnite’s Creative mode is almost as popular as its Battle Royale, and its about to get a lot more advanced with the upcoming Fortnite Creative 2.0. Here’s everything we know about Fortnite’s Unreal Editor including what it is, its release date, and the leaks surrounding it.

Fortnite Creative mode allows players to create their very own experiences inside Fortnite, using assets to build their Creative Island any way they like. Other players can join these islands and earn XP while doing so, and player-made experiences are almost as popular as those created by Epic.

Fortnite Creative is about to get a major overhaul with Creative 2.0, giving players much more freedom to create whatever they like inside Fortnite.

Creative 2.0 shouldn’t be far away, so here’s everything we know including its release window, its Roblox-like monetization, and leaks surrounding it.

Fortnite creative mode

What is Fortnite Creative 2.0?

Fortnite Creative 2.0, also known as the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, will be the evolution of Creative mode, allowing the community to build their own games inside Fortnite. This is set to give players much more freedom over what they create, with popular insider HYPEX claiming that it “makes Creative look basic.”

Speaking to Fast Company, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said that Fortnite Creative 2.0 will allow players to “build very high-quality game content and code . . . and deploy it into Fortnite without having to do a deal with us–it’s open to everybody.”

Similar to Roblox, Fortnite’s Unreal Editor will allow creators to monetize their content. “We’re building an economy,” explained Sweeney. “It will support creators actually building businesses around their work and making increasing amounts of profit from the commerce that arises from people playing their content.”

Fortnite Creative 2.0 release window

Fortnite Creative 2.0 is set to arrive at some point in 2022, likely in the final few months of the year.

Tim Sweeney gave an update on June 28, saying that Creative 2.0 is “Still on track for this year, but not ‘soon.'” So it’s unlikely that Fortnite Creative’s major overhaul will arrive during summer, but we could see it towards fall or winter.

HYPEX believes we’ll see it during Chapter 3 Season 4, which is set to go live in September 2022.

Fortnite Creative 2.0 leaks & rumors

Apex Legends

Apex Legends dev confirms fix for Ranked stream-sniping issues coming soon

The Apex Legends devs have confirmed a fix for the exploit allowing Bronze players to stream-snipe in high-Ranked lobbies.

Pathfinder aiming weapon in Apex Legends

Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that they’re currently working on a fix for the exploit that allows bronze Apex Legends accounts to stream-snipe players in high-Ranked lobbies.

Apex Legends players have dealt with their fair share of cheaters using frustrating exploits, such as the recent one that allowed players on Xbox consoles to completely crash the game’s servers.

Another exploit that’s particularly irritating is one that lets newly-made bronze accounts to immediately get into high-ranked lobbies to stream-snipe players. Now, Respawn Entertainment have responded to this issue.

In Ranked play, Apex Legends players have to play extremely well if they want to climb the ladder and access high-Ranked lobbies. However, cheaters were able to bypass this by using an exploit that lets them sneak into theses lobbies and take out the top players.

Pro player ‘HisWattson’ complained about this issue on Twitter, stating that it’s irritating to report cheaters only to encounter them again in different games. This caught the attention of the developers.

Apex’s Security lead Conor Ford confirmed that the devs are aware of the problem: “I can say that the bronze issue is currently being worked on as well so hopefully you won’t be seeing that soon.”

He didn’t provide any details about when exactly this fix will be implemented in the game, but it’s reassuring to know that Respawn Entertainment are aware of the problem and are currently looking into it.

This exploit allows previously-banned players to pop up and start causing problems in high-ranked lobbies. Hopefully, the Apex Legends update patch containing the fix for the exploit will arrive soon.
