Top 10 weapons in Halo Infinite

10. Heatwave

Heatwave halo infinite

The Heatwave is a rather unique Shotgun, where the energy pellets will ricochet off surfaces.

You can’t ADS with the Heatwave – instead, it has two fire modes. The first is a wide, horizontal spread that will be able to hit several enemies at once. The other is a tighter verticle spread that’s designed for taking on one enemy at a time.

If every pellet hits, it can eliminate an enemy in only two shots. But, it’s also excellent for clearing out rooms. Just bounce the pellets into the room, and everyone inside will be left with no armor to defend themselves.

9. VK78 Commando

Commando in Halo Infinite

The Commando rifle is a bit of a skill cannon, where you need to master its fire rate and recoil to maximize its potential.

However, it will still rip of players’ armor in only seven shots, and then you can finish them off with a well-placed headshot. It’s best suited for medium-range combat but will also shred enemies if they push too close.

This isn’t a weapon new players can pick up and dominate with, but spend some time with it and you’ll realize it’s one of the best.

8. BR75 Battle Rifle

Battle Rifle in Halo Infinite

The Battle Rifle is perhaps the most famous Halo weapon of all, and it made it into our top five best FPS weapons of all time.

This burst-fire rifle is deadly accurate and can take out a fully armored enemy in only four bursts. You won’t have any trouble controlling the recoil – just focus on body shots until the shield is cracked, then go for the head in the final burst for a quick and effective elimination.

Whether you’re a new player or a returning vet, the Battle Rifle is a weapon you’ll always want in your arsenal.

7. Cindershot

CinderShot in Halo Infinite multiplayer

The Cindershot is a unique grenade launcher that’s absolutely devastating in the right Spartan’s hands.

The Cindershot doesn’t appear great on the surface thanks to the long detonation time of its ‘nades. However, if you aim down sight and bounce them off the ground towards your target, you’ll find it to be deadly. Not only do the grenades deal significant damage, but they also pull their targets towards them – so you don’t need to be entirely accurate.

6. Gravity Hammer

Gravity Hammer in halo infinite

Another classic Halo weapon, the Gravity Hammer returns in Infinite in all its glory.

This massive war hammer is capable of eliminating a fully-armored opponent in only one swing. And you don’t even need to land your swings, hitting the ground beside the opponent will rip their armor off and even send them flying off the map.

The Grav Hammer isn’t quite as effective as the Energy Sword, but it’s absolutely the next best thing.

5. Shock Rifle

Shock Rifle in Halo Infinite

The Shock Rifle acts like a slightly less powerful S7 Sniper, but with a handy twist. It will still one-shot an enemy in the head, but will take three body shots to secure the kill.

However, the Shock Rifle actually chains damage – so if enemies are near each other, you’ll be able to damage several at once. The shots will only be truly lethal to the Spartan you’re hitting, but it’ll do an excellent job of punishing players that are too close together, allowing your team a quick and easy clean-up.

4. Skewer

Skewer in Halo Infinite

The Skewer is more effective in large maps and Big Team Battle, but its incredibly satisfying one-shot potential is nothing to be sniffed at.

The Skewer fires out a large spike that will one-shot kill an enemy anywhere in the body, even in the toe. Plus, if enemies are in vehicles, you can Skewer them for a quick and easy multi-kill. It’s by far the most satisfying weapon on this list, so it makes the top five with ease.

3. Energy Sword

Halo Infinite spartan using energy sword

The Energy Sword will likely be one of the first weapons that spring to mind when you think of Halo, and for good reason. This deadly melee weapon also made it into our list of the greatest FPS weapons of all time due to its devastating slaying potential.

With Halo Infinite’s high time-to-kill, you can easily close the gap to slice and dice several enemies before they know what hits them.

2. M41 SPNKR

M41 SPNKR rocket launcher halo infinite

Another one-shot weapon, the M41 SPNKR rocket launcher is the perfect tool for giving your team a headstart. All you have to do is aim at the floor or a wall near an enemy and let the splash damage do the work. Any enemy caught in its radius will be killed instantly, making this one of the most sought-after weapons on the map.

Plus, because it’s a Rocket launcher, it’s also an extremely handy tool for taking out vehicles in larger maps and Big Team Battle.

1. S7 Sniper

S7 Sniper Rifle in Halo Infinite

The number one spot will come as no surprise to Halo fans – the S7 Sniper. This extremely powerful Sniper Rifle can eliminate a fully shielded opponent in only one headshot, and a body shot will wipe their shield and leave them completely vulnerable.

While it’s best at long-range, it has surprisingly accurate hip-fire accuracy, so it’ll even be effective when enemies are pushed up.

If you’re playing a map where the S7 Sniper spawns, you want to make sure it’s your team controlling them.

And those are all of the best weapons Halo Infinite has to offer! You can also check out the best FOV settings to improve your gameplay.

Strange Battlefield 2042 bug lets players completely turn off enemy smoke grenades

Battlefield 2042 players have discovered a bug that allows them to completely turn off the effects of smoke grenades.

Smoke grenade in Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 players have across a new bug that lets them completely negate the effects of enemy smoke grenades, making them completely useless in combat.

Battlefield 2042 has been facing quite a few problems since its arrival, from players complaining about the map design to Shroud explaining why weapon bloom is ruining the game.

Now, players have discovered a bug involving smoke grenades and one of the in-game menus, which lets players turn off the effects of that piece of gear, making it completely useless during fights.

Player using riot shield in battlefield 2042 hazard zone

Reddit user Jagsfootball51 highlighted this glitch in the Battlefield 2042 subreddit. “You can completely negate a smoke grenade just by opening the menu and going to [the] Collections [tab],” they stated.

The clip showcased the Redditor looking at some enemies who then threw down a smoke grenade before attempting to revive their teammates. However, the player was able to negate the smoke grenade.

They did this by opening the in-game menu and heading to the Collections tab before returning to the game. The enemy smoke grenades had completely disappeared from their screen after this.

Many of the commenters were surprised by this glitch and expressed their frustration with how this makes grenades completely useless. “This game is so broken,” one user wrote. “This needs an insta-fix.”

At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether or not the developers are aware of this issue. Hopefully, they’ll investigate the bug and implement a fix because this might be game-breaking.

pathfinder giving a thumbs up in apex legends

Pathfinder has slowly climbed his way up the rankings and gained many fans to become a part of Apex Legends’ top five picks at 8.7% and counting.

As a Recon class, Pathfinder simply excels in movements and traversing the game’s various maps. His Grappling Hook and Zipline Gun are simply invaluable assets that will help any team in a pinch – either because of the circle or a third-party situation. He consistently manages to stay in the top 5 as a result.

4. Bloodhound – 9.1%

apex legends bloodhound character

Again, with the influx of new Apex Legends players, Bloodhound is a great character to use for new players in Season 11.

Bloodhound nearly always stays in and around the 8-11% mark as a season goes on, and they currently stand at 9.1%. They are easily the top Recon class to use in Apex Legends, thanks to their tracking tools and incredible skills, plus, their Beast of the Hunt Ultimate is priceless.

3. Ash – 10.7%

ash posing in apex legends

As is always the case with a new season of Apex Legends, the debut of a new Legend usually drags tons of players away from their beloveds, and that has happened with Ash as she is in the top three with a pick rate of 10.7%.

Ash is a very offensive and aggressive Legend whose abilities let players launch deadly projectiles and also mark fresh deathboxes left behind by fallen players. This can help track players that have won a recent battle and could be prone to being jumped.

Ash’s Phase Breach ultimate can also give her a huge edge in battle and lead to potentially game-winning plays if used correctly.

2. Wraith – 11.4%

apex legends wraith character

Another starting legend, Wraith has been a consistent pick throughout Apex Legends’ lifetime, and she is still well-represented at 11.4% in Season 11.

Wraith’s stand-out features are her ability to get out of trouble very quickly – teammates included. Her abilities allow her to sense danger, become temporarily invulnerable, and create portals to escape predicaments. It’s easy to see why Wraith continues to be an absolute fan-favorite in Apex Legends Season 11.

1. Octane – 11.9% – Most picked Legend in Apex Legends Season 11

apex legends octane character

The pick rate king has returned in Season 11 after the Ash hype died down. With an 11.9% pick rate, the speed demon is currently the most popular Legend in Apex Legends Season 11.

Aside from his amusing quips, he is the perfect balance of offense and defense. Despite being regarded as an offensive Legend, Octane can greatly increase his sprint speed which is useful for both attack and running away.

But most Octane users thrive on his Launch Pad Ultimate which can send him, and friendly players, high up into the air.

That covers all the picks in Apex Legends Season 11. As always, buffs and nerfs will come and go throughout the season, affecting the game’s meta, and subsequently, Legend pick rates.

We’ll be sure to keep this updated regularly so you can stay on top of the in picks, and don’t forget to check out our guide on the best audio settings for Apex Legends Season 11.

Halo are fans are delighted to hear that 343 are already working on old content, but have been calling for classic modes like ‘Swat’ to return. The devs do have some work to do with current modes though, as Ranked Oddball is awarding wins to teams who lose the match.

In the meantime, players can check out all the secret Easter Eggs hidden inside Halo Infinite, or open Loot Caves to earn powerful weapons.
