best landing spots warzone season 3

Like most battle royale games, your survival in Warzone is dependent on the loot you collect. There are many ideal landing spots on Verdansk ’84 that provide good loot in Season 3, and we’ve narrowed down our top five.

The battle royale title of Call of Duty: Warzone received some massive changes in its Season 3 update, with the biggest one being the introduction of the new Verdansk ’84 map. Following the nuclear destruction of the modern-day Verdansk, players were set back to 1984 and now have a different version of Verdansk to do battle on.

One of the most important things to consider when planning a strategy for a match is choosing which of the many landing spots to land at and begin securing loot and cash. This is ever more important in Season 3, with many fan-favorite landing spots changing drastically and new ones having been added.

This is why we are here to help you by bringing you our top five landing spots for Warzone Season 3.

5. Verdansk Airport

Best Landing Spots Warzone Season 3 Airport

One area of Verdansk that underwent some major changes with the transition to 1984 is Airport. Players will find a great deal of worthwhile loot in the new airport that make it one of the best landing spots in Warzone Season 3 when it comes to getting geared up fast.

The lack of destruction of this new Airport also prevents players inside of the building from being sniped by players in the air traffic control tower or the roof thanks to a fleshed second-story area with great loot, making it a much more appealing place to land and loot.

4. Gorengard Lumber Yard

Best Landing Spots Warzone Season 3 Lumber Yard

Verdansk ’84 did not make any significant changes to Lumber Yard, but it also did not take nothing of value away making it still one of the best places to land for loot.

We suggest starting at the lumber warehouses and working your way around the area in a circle to snag the valuable loot that can be found and to keep everything in front of you to avoid being caught in a crossfire in the middle by enemy teams.

3. Downtown Tavorsk District

Best Landing Spots Warzone Season 3 Downtown

The downtown area of modern-day Verdansk could be a frustrating experience with its dense population of tall buildings that would provide plenty of areas for rooftop campers to hide and wait. However, the jump back in time to 1984 has done a great deal to remedy this problem.

Players can now make their way through the much more open area of Downtown and collect all of the powerful loot and cash it offers without having as many hiding spots for enemies to possibly be hiding in to worry about. You will also find yourself inside of most circles to start a match in this area.

2. Superstore

Superstore

There is no denying that Superstore was one of the top landing spots in Modern Day Verdansk and will no doubt continue to be one of the best landing spots players can choose during Warzone Season 3.

Its high concentration of loot, cash, and contracts make it a very attractive place for players to begin their matches at and also offers the opportunity for teams to right into the fight if they are feeling dangerous.

1. Summit

Summit

Plenty of changes were made to various areas of Verdansk with its jump back to 1984. However, the most significant change came with the addition of the Summit location that greatly increased the size of the Dam area.

Summit brings a vast new place for players to explore and has one of the highest concentrations of loot in Warzone Season 3, making it one of the best landing spots you can pick if you want to leave with enough cash for a loadout and plenty of other useful items from a buy station.

That covers the 5 best loot rotations in the Verdansk ’84 map for Call Of Duty: Warzone Season 3 thanks to the game’s official strategy guide. There is no doubt that plenty of players are excited to start collecting wins on the new map, and these landing spots will no doubt help you and your teammates set yourself up for success in every match you jump into.

Activision appears to have re-confirmed in a new social post about careers available at the company that Call of Duty: Warzone is in development for mobile devices including iOS and Android.

The company posted a message last week on their official LinkedIn page regarding Mobile job listings available within the company. This message appears to confirm that Call of Duty: Warzone is in development for mobile devices.

“Activision Mobile has put up new roles! Teams are focused on Live Operations and content expansion across CoD Mobile and Warzone,” says the message posted to the LinkedIn page. It also states that the “dev teams are dedicated to mobile and comprised of all major disciplines” including production, engineering, art, design, and marketing.

A screenshot of the post is below:

This is not the first time that Activision has mentioned Call of Duty: Warzone being in development for mobile devices.

Back in September 2020, Activision posted a job listing for “Executive Producer, Mobile” which stated that this person would work to bring “Warzone’s features” to mobile devices.

The job listing specifically said that this role would be focused on how to “harvest, adapt and deliver the essential features from Warzone console and PC into their best mobile instantiation.” After the listing was widely reported on, Activision deleted it from their site.

And, back in March 2021, Activision sent out a survey about Call of Duty: Mobile and had references to Warzone and Verdansk coming to the mobile game.

Activision has been on a hiring spree recently, with openings in numerous areas of their business including mobile. The company has over 50 job listings on their website currently specifically for mobile developers to work on a new “mobile title” at the company.

It also appears Activision might be investing in a mobile development team at Beenox, their studio based out of Quebec, Canada. Multiple new job listings are their site for mobile developers are based in the Beenox studio. Beenox as a studio has been contributing to Call of Duty as the lead PC developers for the franchise, and has contributed to Warzone’s development.

Activision currently has one mobile game, Call of Duty: Mobile. The title recently passed 500 million downloads. The title is developed by TiMi Studios, a Tencent owned studio, and published by Activision. With Activision expanding its in house mobile development team, it looks like the company wants to become a mobile powerhouse internally versus relying on external partners.

The company’s executives confirmed they are focused on mobile games alongside their console & PC development. Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick mentioned during the company’s May 4th investor call that they want to expand their player base to over 1 billion players, and mobile games are part of that approach.

Activision has not officially announced Call of Duty: Warzone for mobile as of now.

Activision cuts ties with voice actor of Ghost, Jeff Leach, after sexist comments resurface

Activision ends relations with the re-casted voice actor behind Ghost.

Activision has cut all ties with Jeff Leach, the voice actor behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Ghost Operator, after sexist comments made by Leach resurfaced on social media.

Jeff Leach was the voice actor behind the Ghost character in Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone. The entire original Modern Warfare cast was re-casted for the 2019 reboot, and Leach voiced Ghost when the character was added as an operator in Season 2 in February 2020.

The news of Activision ending their working relationship with Leach comes as sexist comments made by Jeff Leach have resurfaced online after streamers and community members were questioning why Leach still had partners within the industry.

A Twitter thread posted shows sexist comments Leach made about streamer ZombiUnicorn in 2017, as well as other more recent comments during a stream on Facebook Gaming, and asked why he still has partnerships with Facebook Gaming and Activision.

Leach has been streaming on Facebook Gaming as an official partner in 2020 and has been frequently streaming Warzone.

One of the clips shows Leach, while playing Call of Duty: Warzone, saying, “I love how it’s always like some dirty, dirty, gross f**king looking emo b**ch who looks like she f**king has no chance of getting a bit of d**k in her.”

These clips are believed to be from a live stream that occurred in December 2020.

ZombiUnicorn since replied in their own video response on Twitter, asking why Facebook and Activision still have partnerships with Leach.

In a new statement sent to CharlieIntel on May 8th, Activision says they have ended all working relationships with Jeff Leach and “condemn” all of his remarks.

Sexism has no place in our industry, our games or in society,” Activision says in a new statement. “Activision is no longer working with Jeff Leach. We strongly condemn these remarks. We are committed to delivering a fun and safe experience for all players.”

Facebook Gaming has not commented on Jeff Leach’s comments at this time.

What this means for the future of Ghost Operator in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone remains to be seen and was not addressed in this statement.
