Although there weren’t many Legend changes in the Apex Legends Season 11 patch notes, the best Legends to use have shifted slightly in the new season, especially with the introduction of Ash.
Players have now had some time with the new Apex Legends Season 11 update. As well as getting comfortable with the new map, Storm Point, players have also been figuring out which Legends will climb the meta this season.
With new Legend Ash and some buffs and nerfs to account for, some may be wondering which Legends are good to use in Season 11. We’ve ranked all the Legends in the current Apex update, giving you a great idea of who to play in the new season.
Best Legends in Apex Legends: Season 11 ranked list
Remember, the ranking is based on a Legend’s performance in the Battle Royale mode, not Ranked Leagues or the Arenas mode. If you’re interested in Arenas, check out our article for the best Legends to use in the 3v3 mode.
Here’s our list for every Legend in Season 11 ranked:
To sum up the ranking, new Legend Ash comes in very strong, but not overpowered. Her abilities are difficult to master, but if you are a coordinated team, her kit can be deadly.
Since the nerfs, Seer has dropped in Season 11, and Bloodhound continues his dominance in the Recon class for Legends. As both maps in the rotation this season are Apex Legends’ biggest, Valkyrie takes the top spot due to her great mobility.
Unfortunately, despite the buffs for Rampart last season, her kit remains pretty underwhelming and easily countered by throwables, as well as certain Legend’s Ultimate abilities.
Wattson received major buffs this season, and although her kit has definitely been improved, it’s not enough to move her higher up the rankings.
Top 3 Legends in Season 11
Valkyrie has excellent offensive capabilities with her tactical and passive abilities, flying around and stunning people while they are either trying to run away or hide.
These abilities are also great for when you’re on the defensive, as well as being able to quickly duck out of an unwanted fight with the VTOL Jets and prevent people pushing you with the Missile Swarm.

Furthermore, her ultimate Skyward Dive is arguably the best rotation tool in the game now, taking over Octane’s Launch Pad. This ultimate is excellent for finding out where enemy teams are, as Valkyrie’s passive includes the ability to scan and highlight enemies in her FOV while skydiving.
Ash is Season 11’s brand new addition to the roster, bringing an extremely aggressive kit. Her Tactical, Arc Snare, is very oppressive. On contact, it will do 20 damage and tether enemies for a short period of time, restricting their movement.
Ash’s Ultimate, Phase Breach, can be used to push enemies from an unsuspecting angle, rotate to a better position, or even get you and the team to safety. With so much versatility, the Phase Breach alone is enough to make her a strong Legend.
Lastly, we have Ash’s Passive, Marked for Death. This allows Ash to view all the enemy deathboxes on the map, with the option to ping them for her team. This is very strong for knowing where the enemies are, allowing for great rotation and positioning.
This gives Ash an aspect of the Recon class, as she can effectively gain information on where enemies are at.
Since the game was released, Gibraltar has been a Legend who has remained at the top of every Apex legends tier list, being the staple of almost every team in the ALGS tournament. Gibraltar is the strongest defensive character in the game, with all of his abilities defensively aiding the team and being used offensively.
His Dome of Protection is probably his most important piece of kit, allowing the team to push up or protect themselves from a push with the protection it provides. Further, what makes it even more helpful is the faster revive Gibraltar can perform to teammates while inside the dome.
Gibraltar’s Ultimate, Defensive Bombardment, is also great for stopping an enemy’s push and being aggressive, dealing huge damage to those caught within it. His passive is also great for taking on enemies, especially in 1v1 situations, as his Gun Shield gives him extra health.

Who is Apex Legends Season 12’s Mad Maggie? Abilities & lore
Apex Legends Season 12 will bring Mad Maggie as a playable Legend, but who is she and what are her abilities?
A lot of Apex Legends players are asking questions about Mad Maggie, especially as she has now been revealed as the Season 12 Legend.
Apex Legends has a lot of lore and character development that even spans from the Titanfall series. Despite not becoming a playable Legend until Season 12, Mad Maggie has been involved in the game’s lore ever since Fuse was introduced.
With the latest Stories from the Outlands video providing players with information regarding why she will be involved in the Apex Games, what will her abilities be and what’s her backstory?
Who is Apex Legends’ Mad Maggie?
Mad Maggie was introduced to players as Fuse’s close friend on Salvo, the home planet of both characters. They grew up together and developed a close bond that Fuse broke when he left Salvo and joined the Apex Games.
Whether Maggie was jealous or just felt betrayed, she didn’t like Fuse’s departure at all, causing a fight that ultimately ended in Fuse losing his arm.
We also saw Maggie ambush and ruin Fuse’s debut appearance at the Apex Games by destroying the Kings Canyon map for Season 8’s launch. Maggie was also responsible for the War Games event in the same season, where she took over the games, changing thee rules with LTMs and becoming the announcer.
Since then, she has been causing havoc to the Syndicate, the group behind the Apex Games and ones responsible for taking her home planet and best friend Fuse away from her.
Apex Legends Mad Maggie abilities
As the new season has only just been announced, we are yet to receive official information regarding Mad Maggie’s kit and abilities.
Having said that, dataminers were able to find a promotional image for the Legend that shows her with a shield and some sort of whip, which could definitely be part of her kit.
As well as this, it’s believed that Mad Maggie’s code name in the game’s files was Husaria, which previously had some leaked abilities along with it:
- Passive: Shotgun Kick
- Husaria has a shotgun on her leg that fires when she melees doors or enemies. Requires shotgun ammo. Using your abilities grants you a brief speed boost.
- Tactical: Flashbang
- Throw a grenade that briefly blinds and deafens opponents.
- Ultimate: Concussive Breaching Charge
- Plant a breaching charge that fires a sonic wave through walls to destroy traps, force open doors and disorient enemies.
These are all previously leaked abilities and should therefore be taken with a pinch of salt. Mad Maggie’s abilities have likely changed a lot sine she was named code named Husaria and these abilities above may not resemble her official kit when Season1 2 drops.
Players will likely know more about Mad Maggie’s kit when the reveal trailer drops on January 27. We will make sure to update this piece as the information goes live so stay tuned.

Apex Legends Anniversary event: Release date, rewards, more
Apex Legends is nearing its third anniversary, and Respawn usually like to celebrate in style. Here’s everything there is to know.
Respawn love to celebrate the Apex Legends anniversary with an event. The game is approaching its third birthday and for those interested in the date, here’s when Apex Legends’ anniversary is.
With that being said, players are always hungry for new content, with Season 12 on the way. With how special the Season 8 Anniversary event was for 2021, it’s only right that fans are intrigued about the next one.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Apex Legends Anniversary event.
When is Apex Legends’ Anniversary?
Respawn’s free-to-play battle royale was released on February 4, 2019, making this date its anniversary every year since its launch. In celebration, players typically get an in-game event to mark the date.
This year, Apex Legends Anniversary will coincide with the launch of Season 12 on February 8, and so far it seems they won’t be marking the third anniversary of the game with an event, but rather “Login Rewards.”
What to expect for Apex Legends’ Anniversary event
In the previous Anniversary event, players were blessed with a whole Collection Event and Reward Tracker. This year, players will be getting login rewards for the month of February.
Starting from Season 12’s launch, players will be receiving three consecutive weeks of rewards:
- February 8 – 15: Octane & three Thematic Packs
- February 15 – 22: Wattson & three Thematic Packs
- February 22 – March 1: Valkyrie, three Thematic Packs, & one Legendary Pack
If you already own these Legends, players will still get the Thematic Packs for them, which are essentially Apex Packs that guarantee items for that specific Legend.
As more news is released, we’ll be updating this article so make sure you stay tuned.

Apex Legends Season 12 Legend Mad Maggie
The new Legend for Season 12 will be Mad Maggie, an old friend of Fuse’s who has been forced to participate in the Apex Games as a punishment for her many crimes across the Outlands after being shot down in a dog fight against the Syndicate.
They fell out over Fuse’s choice to join the Apex Games and for Salvo (Fuse and Maggie’s home planet) to become a world owned by the Syndicate, who are also behind the Apex Games.
It seems Maggie is out for vengeance and her relationship with Fuse is bound to be explosive, making things exciting for fans in terms of lore.
It’s unclear what her abilities are, but from a recently leaked promotional image, it seems she will wield a shield and some sort of whip.
Apex Legends new LTM “Control”
Apex Legends Season 12 will also bring a brand new LTM to the game called “Control.” While there has been a lot of rumors regarding a smaller team-based mode coming to Apex Legends after Arenas, players will finally be getting it in Season 12.
Control will be available for the first three weeks of Season 12 and features two teams of 9 where players will choose their loadout – similarly to how it worked in Season 11’s version of the Holo-day Express LTM.
The two teams will then battle it to hold control points with infinite respawns. It isn’t quite clear what maps will be available on this mode, but again, as more information is released we will be sure to update this piece.
