Best M16 loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 2

Warzone’s M16 Assault Rifle definitely packs a punch, and with these attachments and perks, it’s become the meta in Season 2.

Best Warzone M16 loadout

The M16 Assault Rifle has quickly become the meta in CoD: Warzone and these attachments and perks will make you an unstoppable force in Season 2.

The M16 has been used to great effect in Cold War multiplayer, and while Modern Warfare weapons like the Grau 5.56 or the Kilo 141 have dominated the meta in the past, the burst rifle has become a fan-favorite for players to wield.

With its ability to deal huge damage and the AUG’s nerf, the M16 is undeniably the meta weapon for medium-long range battles.

Here are the best attachments and perks to maximize its potential in Season 2.

M16 Warzone Season 2 loadout

Cold War Warzone M16
  • Muzzle: Agency Silencer
  • Barrel: 15.9″ Strike Team
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Ammunition: 45 Rnd mag

This M16 is best used at range for its potential to down a fully armored opponent in only a couple of bursts. Pair this weapon with a close-range choice such as Warzone‘s MAC-10, or FFAR, and you’ll find yourself a force to be reckoned with in Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

For the muzzle, the Agency Silencer is the go-to for Cold War weapons, as it not only suppresses the sound of your bullets but actually increases the M16’s damage range.

For the barrel, the 15.9″ Strike Team is the way to go as it increases the fire rate, meaning you can fire off bursts quicker while also increasing damage. Using this in conjunction with the Field Agent Grip will help you hit long-range shots easier, as it helps control the recoil in between bursts.

The Axial Arms 3x scope is perfect for the M16. This unobtrusive sight provides great magnification for hitting faraway targets and isn’t so zoomed that you’ll lose targets at closer range. Additionally, running the 45 Rnd mag will give you more bullets to use during fights.

Best perks to run with M16 in Warzone Season 2

Warzone E.O.D perk

Here’s our picks for the best perks to run with the M16.

  • Perk 1: E.O.D
  • Perk 2: Ghost/Overkill
  • Perk 3: Amped

E.O.D is the perfect accompaniment for Warzone’s M16, as you’ll be able to survive a barrage of explosive damage.

For our second perk, we recommend starting a loadout with Overkill and then using a second Loadout Drop to switch to a loadout with Ghost equipped. This will give you two of your favorite weapons, with the bonus of being hidden from UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors.

And finally, Amped will allow you to switch weapons faster and reload launchers faster. This is great for quickly pushing enemies in close-range situations.

How to unlock the M16 in Warzone Season 2

Warzone M16 season 2

Unlocking the M16 is an easy task in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, only requiring the player to hit Level 10.

Hop into a few games of either Warzone or Cold War, and you’ll soon unlock this beast of a weapon.

Best alternatives to Warzone’s M16

If you fancy using a weapon other than the M16, there are some solid choices you can take advantage of. Although the AUG has had its recoil nerfed, if you can control it, it’s still one of the best weapons in the game. And if automatic weapons are more your style, you can’t go wrong with the Stoner 63.

It’s also worth trying out Warzone’s new ZRG 20mm Sniper Rifle for some significant long-range damage.

Try out the M16 with these attachments and perks, and you’ll be using one of Warzone’s fastest killing weapons.

Crazy Warzone glitch stops players throwing C4 through broken windows

A bizarre Call of Duty: Warzone bug is making it impossible to throw C4s and explosives out of broken windows.

Warzone player throwing C4 through broken window

A frustrating Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 glitch is making it impossible for players to throw C4 explosives through windows, even though they’ve been broken before they were thrown.

Warzone remains the most popular battle royale in the world, with players flocking to Verdansk time and time again in search of victories.

Unfortunately, the game is struggling with some major glitches that are having a severe effect on players’ enjoyment. Bugs like the ability to see enemies through walls after competing in the Gulag or a Sniper optic glitch that makes the game unplayable are becoming so common that fans have created the “Fix Warzone” movement.

Unfortunately, fans have discovered another issue that is making combat even harder, with C4s getting stuck to windows even when they are broken.

An explosion going off in Warzone.

Thanks to a clip uploaded to the CoDWarzone subreddit on April 11, we can see that there is something wrong with windows in Season 2, with an invisible barrier stopping the explosive item from being thrown out the window, even though the smashed remnants of the glass can be seen.

User benjigoodson can be seen peaking out of a building in the circular housing estate near Hills, when an enemy appears in the garden and starts firing at them. After some quick thinking, the player pulls out a C4 and lobs it towards the open window, expecting it to fly out, land at the feet of their enemy, and explode.

Unfortunately, the explosive just freezes in mid-air when it reaches where the glass would have been before it was broken, with the explosion knocking benjigoodson down, and leaving him incredibly confused.

As for what caused this issue, nobody is quite sure. One commenter on the post claimed that it seems to be an issue with every window, saying that they were unable to ping items or locations through windows, while another believes this problem is specific to Hills.

Unsurprisingly, fans of the game are clamoring for this to be addressed, as it essentially puts players at a disadvantage even though they have cover as they cannot use any tactical or explosive items to aid them during a fight.

Raven Software have yet to respond to this glitch, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as any new information becomes available.

Warzone leak reveals equippable helmets return to game files

Warzone data miners have reportedly found equippable helmets in the game files again after they were scrapped before the game’s launch.

helmets reportedly found in Warzone game files again

Equippable helmets were found in Warzone’s game files before the game launched in 2020, but data miners claim they have been added back with new voice lines.

Before Warzone launched in 2020, details of a now-scrapped armor system were discovered in the game files. This system included tiers of armor, along with bandages to heal and equippable helmets. This is the way most other battle royale games such as Apex Legends and PUBG handle their health systems, so Warzone was expected to follow suit.

However, that was changed for the more fast-paced system with minimal looting that we all now know. Healing items were replaced with automatic health regeneration and armor tiers were scrapped for the plate system.

Price with helmet in Warzone

Helmets may be making a return with leak reporter VanguardIntel and data miner Nanikos claiming they have returned to the game files. Vanguard said the helmets will have three tiers to them:

  • Lvl 1: Reduces Headshot Damage by 15%
  • Lvl 2: Reduces Headshot Damage by 30%
  • Lvl 3: Reduces Headshot Damage by 30%. Reduces flash and concussion effects

Nanikos posted images of the files detailing these helmets, and said that there were “also operator voice lines for pinging a helmet.”

Many have disputed this leak, saying that the helmets are just leftovers from the original armor system. Vanguard claimed that although the helmet system was originally scrapped, “according to [their] sources it has recently been put back in with new voice lines and such.”

Vanguard also clarified that these helmets will be for Warzone, rather than the abandoned Blackout 2.0 that was leaked on April 5.

While there is no real evidence that these helmets will arrive in Warzone, it’s possible that the leaked 1980s overhaul of Verdansk will bring new mechanics to the game. A plethora of new vehicles have also been found in the files, and they could also arrive in Warzone soon.

New game modes leaked for Warzone Season 2

Warzone leaker ZestyCODLeaks has found three new modes in the game files that could arrive in CoD’s battle royale soon.

New game modes leaked for Warzone

With Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 well underway, notable leaker ZestyCODLeaks has discovered three new modes that could be arriving in the battle royale soon.

Every Call of Duty game comes with its own set of various game modes for players to seek thrills in, and Warzone isn’t any different. The Season 2 update brought a plethora of new content to enjoy, and it seems that more is on the horizon.

Some new leaks have emerged which point towards the arrival of a few new game modes to the battle royale during an upcoming update. This has led to some speculation among fans about what these will entail.

New game modes leaked for Warzone

These leaks came from Warzone data miner and leaker ZestyCODLeaks, who uncovered three different game modes in the game files. While there currently isn’t a ton of information about, their code names are interesting.

The game modes in the Season 2 Reloaded update game files are:

  • br_gametype_bodycount
  • br_gametype_brz
  • br_satellite_hunt

One of these stood out in particular, as a theory formed about the introduction of another mode with Zombies. “Brz sounds like Normal BR with Zombies in various places like they did in Bo4 with Blackout,” tweeted Firebreak.

While that does sound fairly exciting, the data miner currently has no other information about these game modes, so any hunches about what’s in them will be pure speculation until we learn more.

ZestyCODLeaks also uncovered eight new vehicles in the game files earlier, and the new leaked content might be part of the 1980s overhaul to Verdansk. However, this information should be taken with a grain of salt.

Leaks like these never guarantee that this content will arrive in Warzone, but we’ll keep checking for any further information.
