Best Warzone M16 loadout

The M16 Tactical Rifle has become a popular pick in CoD: Warzone and these attachments and perks will make the best Warzone M16 loadout for Season 5.

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded has brought several weapon buffs and nerfs to the battle royale, shaking up the meta from previous seasons. However, the M16 burst rifle has remained a consistently powerful yet underrated choice.

While it’s not as strong as some other guns, the M16 can take out enemies at range in only a few bursts. With the best loadout, you won’t have any trouble landing these bursts, especially if you’re an accurate player.

Here are the attachments and Perks to make the best Warzone M16 loadout.

Best Warzone M16 loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: Agency Silencer
  • Barrel: 16.3″ Rapid Fire
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Ammunition: STANAG 60 Rnd

This Warzone weapon is extremely useful in long-range combat. Still, our loadout will focus on reducing its ADS time and increasing the effective damage that it can dish out during medium-range combat.

We’ll start with the Agency Silencer to suppress the sound of your bullets while improving the damage range of the best Warzone M16 loadout. Now, you’ll be able to take out your foes from a comfortable distance without alerting them of your position.

Next, we’ll equip the 16.3″ Rapid Fire, which increases the weapon’s fire rate and will allow to dish out more damage quicker, especially with the M16’s reduced recoil thanks to the September 15 update. You can control the recoil between bursts with the Field Agent Grip.

Black Ops Cold War's M16 Warzone loadout

If you want to hit targets that are far away accurately, then you’ll need to equip a decent optic to the best Warzone M16 loadout. The Axial Arms 3x scope suits the M16 perfectly, as its unobtrusive sight provides great magnification for hitting distant targets.

Finally, we’ll cap off the best Warzone M16 loadout with the STANAG 60 Rnd magazine to ensure that you have plenty of bullets to use during fights. With this loadout, the M16 will be almost unstoppable in medium to long-range encounters.

Best perks to use with M16 Warzone loadout class

Warzone Combat Scout Perk
  • Perk 1: E.O.D.
  • Perk 2: Overkill/Ghost
  • Perk 3: Combat Scout

You’ll need to be careful of foes that throw grenades and other explosives, as they can instantly ruin your killstreak. Equipping the E.O.D Perk will let you tank explosive damage while using the M16 Burst Rifle.

For the second perk in our best Warzone M16 loadout class, we recommend starting a loadout with Overkill so that you can use two of your favorite weapons.

Then, switch to Ghost in your second loadout drop to hide from UAVs and heartbeat sensors.

And finally, Season 5’s Combat Scout Perk will automatically live pings enemies for your team and highlights them through walls. Even if the enemy gets away, you’ll be able to nail them with another burst through soft cover.

How to unlock the M16

The M16 in Warzone

Unlocking the M16 is an easy task in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, only requiring the player to hit Level 10.

Hop into a few games of either Warzone or Cold War, and you’ll soon unlock this beast of a weapon without any trouble and will be able to use the best Warzone M16 loadout.

Best alternatives

If you fancy using a weapon other than the M16, then you should try out Season 5’s EM2. With a slow fire rate but high damage, you’ll melt enemies over distance.

The Krig 6 is also a great pick, despite recent nerfs, as it has risen to the top of the pack in Warzone Season 5. With next to no recoil, a fast fire rate, and a competitive TTK, it’s one of the easiest-to-use weapons in the game.
