Best FTAC Recon loadout for Modern Warfare 3 Season 4

MW3 features plenty of Battle Rifles to use, hosting a ton of damage and range, and the FTAC Recon is an underrated yet powerful pick in multiplayer.

If you’re looking to dominate long-range encounters, here are all the attachments, Perks, and Equipment needed to build the best loadout.

Best MW3 FTAC Recon loadout attachments

• Muzzle: Shred CP90 Compensator
• Barrel: Bull Rider 16.5″
• Optic: JAK Glassless Optic
• Magazine: 15 Round Mag
• Stock: Assault-60 Stock Factory

We’re kicking off with the Bull Rider 16.5″ and Shred CP90 Compensator to vastly improve the gun’s bullet velocity, range, and recoil control. This will keep the bouncy effect under control when shooting from further out.

The choice for the Optic is up to you, but my favorite is the JAK Glassless grating a clean sight for close to medium-range fights.

You’ll find the default 10 rounds might not be enough to take down several enemies, so we’ve bumped it up with the 15 Round Mag. This magazine will damage the FTAC Recon’s mobility, so using the Assault-60 Stock Factory will offset that.

For Perks, we choose the Infantry Vest for an improved Tactical Sprint, enhancing your mobility. The Commando Gloves let you reload while sprinting, keeping you agile and ready.

Then, the EOD Padding is essential for protection against enemy explosives and fire while Covert Boots which will enable you to move around the map quietly.

In terms of Equipment, the Frag and Flash Grenades are reliable choices, allowing you to clean rooms and disorient enemies. For Field Equipment, the Trophy System excels at defending areas and protecting objectives.

How to unlock FTAC Recon

To unlock the FTAC Recon you’ll need to reach Level 55 and rank the M4 up to Level 13. Make sure you’re using the best ways to level up your guns fast in order to unlock the gun and all of its attachments easily.

Best FTAC Recon alternatives

There are plenty of viable alternatives to the FTAC Recon Battle Rifle such as the BAS-B or Sidewinder. However, if you’re looking for something that dominates at close range, then the Superi 46 is another great option.
