Every CoD loadout needs the best Perks to dominate, so here are the best perks to use in Warzone Season 5’s Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

warzone perks in verdansk

A CoD loadout is nothing without the right Perks, so here are the best Perks to give you a competitive edge in any Warzone game mode.

Call of Duty: Warzone requires skill to regularly pick up Warzone Victories, but having the best Warzone loadout and accompanying Perks has a huge say in how you perform. Season 5 has welcomed two new Perks and buffed several others.

We’ve picked out the absolute best ones for you to use to assist you in scoring some more big dubs.

Here are the best perks to use in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5.

Best Warzone Season 5 selections for Perk 1

E.O.D

E.O.D reduces explosive damage taken, which makes it a vital Perk in Call of Duty: Warzone. If you’re stuck in a room with players outside, especially near the endgame, expect a barrage of Semtex and Frag Grenades coming at you. If you have any hope of surviving, you need to have E.O.D equipped.

Given the level of volatility of explosives in Warzone and how many there are to choose from, it’s almost certain you’ll encounter them in every game. E.O.D is vital for surviving this and saving yourself a trip to the Gulag.

Double Time

Double Time allows you to Tactical Sprint for longer, as well as crouch-walk faster. Mobility is key for pushing enemies and avoiding the closing circle of gas. Not only that, but it could be the difference between life and death when trying to push to the next area of safety.

In Solos, you need to be the first person in the next zone, and Double Time will allow you to quickly move around the map without a vehicle revealing your location. The increased crouch walk speed also gives you high mobility while sneaking up on enemies.

Best Warzone Season 5 selections for Perk 2

Overkill

With Verdansk having both long lines of sight and close-quarters combat, most players bring both a long-range and up-close weapon in their loadout. The Warzone meta sees many players opt to snipe in Warzone with a Kar98k, and pair it with something solid like the Krig 6 or C58.

Use Overkill to get both weapons in your first loadout for effectiveness at all ranges, then take either Ghost or Restock from your next loadout crate and you’ll have the best of both worlds.

Ghost

Ghost is probably the most used perk in Warzone. With UAVs constantly being popped, and almost every player running a heartbeat sensor, keeping yourself off the radar is vital.

You can sneak up on teams and make a quick getaway if you’re in a tight spot. Or, if you’re a building camper (no judgments here), listen to your enemy’s rage in the death chatter as you take them by surprise.

Tempered

One of the newest additions to Raven Software’s battle royale is the Tempered Perk, a thing of beauty when it comes to Armor Plates in Warzone.

Instead of three plates being required to get you to max armor, Tempered reduces the requirement to two. Whilst this may not seem groundbreaking, as JGOD explains, this could give you the edge in a battle. You can plate up 1.5 seconds faster, and that extra second can get you firing at your opponent first to kill them.

Best Warzone Season 5 selections for Perk 3

Amped

As Gaz said in Call of Duty 4, “switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading.” This remains true in Warzone over a decade later, and the Amped perk makes this all the more effective.

There’s nothing worse than running out of ammo and watching helplessly as you’re taken out while either switching weapons or reloading. Amped allows you to almost instantly swap weapons so you can keep shooting with minimal delay.

Tracker

This perk is especially effective in solo matches, where you’ll usually only be focusing on a single player at a time. This perk allows you to see the enemy’s footsteps so you know if someone has been nearby recently. With how slow and tactical solo matches can be, you’ll be surprised how many times it will save your skin.

Combat Scout

The second Perk added to Warzone is the Combat Scout Perk and it’s so incredibly powerful that players believe it to be “OP”. Shooting an enemy will ping their location for you and let you know their whereabouts for the next five seconds.

Even if they’re on the other side of a wall, if you’re playing with friends, you can keep people up-to-date with their position and end them quickly. Raven may end up nerfing the Perk in the near future, so take advantage of it whilst you can.

Best perks for Warzone solos

Warzone Solos is almost an entirely different game from Squads, where you must quickly rotate into new zones and know where enemy players are in order to survive. It can also be a lot more cagey too, changing the strategy required to win a game of Warzone.

Here are the best perks to get that Solo victory.

  1. Ghost
  2. Combat Recon
  3. Double Time

Best perks for Warzone Duos, Trios & Quads

In Warzone teams you’ll be fighting multiple enemies at once, so you need to accommodate different Perks to tackle multiple opponents and assist your playing partners.

  1. E.O.D
  2. Overkill then Ghost
  3. Combat Recon

Run these perks along with the meta weapons, and you’ll be putting yourself at a significant advantage in both Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

Best guns in Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded

10. Volk

The Volk is technically an Assault Rifle but it is best utilized as a close-range weapon in Warzone. Thanks to buffs it received in the Season 4 Reloaded update, the Volk’s bullet velocity is truly impressive.

It’s this blistering bullet velocity and lightweight maneuverability that makes this Assault Rifle a menace in close quarters. Of course, it still performs incredibly at medium-range, which makes it the ultimate Sniper support weapon.

9. Whitley

Much like the Volk, the Whitley was on the receiving end of some pretty hefty buffs in Season 4 Reloaded. It was always a powerful option, but with buffs increasing its recoil control, the Whitley has become a great long-range LMG.

In addition, the weapon was also buffed in an August 3 update which further boosted its damage range. With excellent range, damage, and control, it has become the ideal weapon of choice for players who enjoy Caldera.

8. Cooper Carbine

The Cooper Carbine is an Assault Rifle known for its versatility since it entered the battle royale all the way back in Season 1. Players build it for various engagements including medium-range on Fortune’s Keep or long-range on Caldera.

This Assault Rifle doesn’t always pack the hardest punch, but it is supremely easy to control as a low-recoil weapon. If you’re looking to land your shots and improve your aim, then the Cooper Carbine is the way to go.

7. 3-Line Rifle – Best Sniper Rifle in Warzone

The Warzone Season 3 update drastically changed how Snipers perform in the battle royale. Only a select few Snipers could still one-shot kill with a headshot at any distance. Luckily, the 3-Line Rifle not only maintained its one-shot kill potential, but it also received a buff to ADS speed.

Some Warzone players have expressed their displeasure with the Sniper changes, but it does not look as though they will get reverted. If you’re looking to come to terms with Sniping in Warzone, the 3-Line Rifle is your best bet.

6. NZ-41

The once dominant NZ-41 was on the receiving end of several significant nerfs, which have led to its slight downfall. It may not be the laser beam it once was, but it is still accurate and strong enough to claim the sixth spot on this list.

It took some time but it seems the NZ-41 has finally achieved a balanced state after truly being in a league of its own for months on end. While it should be off Raven’s radar, one more nerf would likely see it drop out of the top ten.

5. Marco 5

The Marco 5 maintains its spot on the top ten list since joining the weapon pool in Season 4. Although its unique Akimbo Perk allows for players to dual wield the weapon, it’s best to use one at a time and take advantage of the quick ADS speed.

The relatively new SMG makes for an excellent Sniper support SMG as well thanks to its fantastic damage range. The Marco 5 doesn’t have what it takes to challenge the top SMGs just yet, but it’s a close step behind.

4. UGM-8 – Best Warzone LMG

With the KG M40 and NZ-41 receiving nerfs throughout Season 4 Reloaded, the UGM-8 is patiently waiting to claim the title of best long-range weapon in Warzone. The UGM-8 is unique in that its burst fire loadout is just as viable as its fully automatic loadout, so it’s up to the player to decide which version they prefer.

Due to the fact that LMGs are less popular than ARs, the UGM-8 produces a great discrepancy between its popularity and K/D. If more players come to understand how powerful the LMG is, this could change quickly.

3. H4 Blixen

The H4 Blixen was Season 3 Reloaded’s new weapon, and it didn’t take long to have an impact on the Warzone meta. In half a season the H4 Blixen established itself as the best SMG in Warzone, but it got knocked down slightly following a recent nerf.

As of August 8, the H4 Blixen still maintains the best overall K/D in Warzone at 1.39. However, once an accidental buff is reverted, a nerf to movement speed could see it fall off slightly. Nonetheless, we expect it to remain in the top ten.

2. Armaguerra 43 – Best Warzone SMG

Despite the abundance of top SMG options, it’s hard to go wrong with the Armaguerra 43 in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded. JGOD has proclaimed it the best close-range weapon in Warzone at the moment and we agree.

The weapon is one of the easiest SMGs to master thanks to its lack of recoil. While it has the speed to finesse enemies up close, it’s also great at medium-range making the weapon incredibly versatile.

1. KG M40 – Best Warzone gun right now

At the start of Season 4, the KG M40 seemingly came out of nowhere to mark its place on this list. However, due to an incredibly balanced and varied meta, the KG M40 is powerful enough to claim the top spot in Season 4 Reloaded.

Despite recent nerfs, the KG M40 is still a laser beam in Warzone and it continues to be the best long-range weapon in the game. It’s currently the most popular weapon in Warzone and the weapon with the best win ratio at 4.44. If it could avoid consecutive nerfs, it should maintain the top spot heading into Season 5.

Those are the top 10 weapons you should be using in Warzone Pacific. Expect this list to keep on changing as weapons are buffed and nerfed. If classic multiplayer is more your cup of tea, you can check out the top 10 Vanguard weapons.

Warzone players divided over frustrating skydiving gunfights

The Warzone community is split over how they feel about skydiving gun battles, with some claiming they’re unrealistic.

Published

on

Skydiving into the map on Warzone can be quite the task, especially when enemies are gunning you down mid-air, leading to mixed opinions about the mechanic.

Upon release of the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update, the community was happy to see some much-need changes to the meta, bringing Modern Warfare and Cold War weapons back in line.

Unfortunately, many haven’t been too fond of the recent efforts to reverse this in the August 3 update, which saw the Kilo and VLK Rogue nerfed.

Along with this, players have also been experiencing some serious frame drops associated with the ping system, leading to some disappointed players. Now, some in the community are having an issue with a mechanic that has been in the game since the start.

The ability to gun down your enemies while dropping into the map on Warzone has been a feature since the very beginning.

While it has frustrated players over the years, as starting a game and instantly being downed isn’t the greatest feeling, it has never been a serious issue in the community.

However, after GodOfEggs69 highlighted the feature on the Warzone subreddit and expressed their opinion, it created a divide. The user feels that players “should not be able to ever so accurately hit multiple shots at another target that is falling from 1000 feet.”

Ultimately, they feel it is unrealistic that an enemy can beam them while skydiving, and with almost 400 upvotes at the time of writing this article, it seems many agree. A comment under the post even said: “I still don’t understand why we can shoot our guns when falling at 200mph, but not when we have our parachute pulled.”

Others in the comments of the post feel differently, with opinions such as “It’s a video game lol,” and that the user should “try getting better instead of complaining about everything.”

Some also feel it is odd that this is being complained about now, with another user saying “did you just install the game? lmao where are these complaints coming from, this s*** has been in the game since day 1.”

Perhaps the new iteration of Warzone will address all these concerns and issues, as even Zlaner has requested that the devs remove a feature from the game for Warzone 2.

When is Plunder coming back to Warzone?

With Warzone having multiple modes to play, players are left wondering when the fan-favorite Plunder mode will return.

Published

on

Warzone Pacific features a healthy rotation of different game modes to provide variety, but when is the popular Plunder game mode set to return to the playlist?

Warzone features plenty of fun game modes for you to try out, including the fan-favorite Plunder mode that allows you to respawn and easily level up weapons before getting back in the fight.

Since the developers want to keep things fresh for players, new game modes frequently rotate in and out of the playlist, and Plunder can’t be a constant presence in the game. We’ll go over when the mode will be back in the game.

When is Plunder coming back to Warzone?

Raven Software released the playlist update schedule on the official Warzone Trello board, confirming that Plunder Quads will be coming back to Warzone on August 11 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.

The popular game mode will remain available until August 18 and then Golden Plunder will take its place. This is similar to regular Plunder but with a higher player count and increased cash drops.

After that, it remains to be seen when the developers will add Plunder back to the playlist again. So, be sure to try out Plunder Quads in Season 4 Reloaded before its removed from the playlist.

While fans of Plunder might be disappointed to see it get removed from Warzone Pacific again, implementing playlist updates ensures that there is a greater variety of game modes for you to hop into.

We’ll be sure to update this article as soon as a new date for Plunder’s return is officially confirmed after its removal, so be sure to check back with us if you’re eager to jump back into the beloved game mode.
