Player using the Type 95 in Warzone

Warzone Season 1 is now well underway. With the DMR and MAC-10 meta now ended, the QBZ-83, or the Type 95 to some, is quickly becoming a fan-favorite for those looking for a replacement.

Throughout the festive season, Warzone was dominated by players using the DMR Tactical Rifle. Incredibly powerful and with deadly accuracy. It wasn’t long before many were calling for the weapon to be nerfed. In close quarters, the MAC-10 was the go-to weapon.

After an initial balance change proved to not alter the weapon’s stats enough, Raven dropped a surprise update on January 13 that truly brought the era of these two powerful weapons to a close. Unsurprisingly, players are now hunting for the next weapon to take control of the meta. Some are already looking at the QBZ-83.

With an impressively quick rate of fire for an Assault Rifle, you may not be looking for an SMG the next time you’re in close-quarters combat, but instead reaching for the Type 95.

The QBZ in Black Ops Cold War

Best Type 95 Warzone loadout

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 5.56
  • Barrel: 16.5″ Ranger
  • Underbarrel: Foregrip
  • Stock: Marathon Stock
  • Sight: Diamondback Reflex

Thanks to it’s high rate of fire, the QBZ is lethal up close, and doesn’t really need to have that stat improved. Over longer distances though, the gun can struggle, so this selection is designed to make the Type 95 more of an all-rounder compared to its base stats.

The weapon has quite a kick when you first fire, so combining Muzzle Brake and Foregrip should help you control it a little easier, while the Diamondback Reflex will make it easier to lock on to your enemies who are further away.

The 16.5″ Ranger barrel should give you a little more firepower over long distances, while the Marathon Stock should still let you pull up your gun with an improved sprint-to-fire time should you find yourself surprised by a close-quarters opponent.

Best Perks to use with QBZ-83 in Warzone

  • Perk 1: Double Time
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Tracker

Many players tend to stick with the same perks regardless of what weapon they’re running in Warzone, but sometimes switching things up can be especially useful, depending on how you intend to play during a match.

While most Assault Rifles lend themselves to a slower, methodical pace, the Type 95 is effective up close, so using that to your advantage is key. Double Time will let you sprint around the map quickly and close distance to your enemies to put yourself at the optimum range to challenge enemies on Verdansk.

Overkill is a good choice, as you can choose to equip a weapon that excels at long range like a Sniper Rifle, although Ghost is also a good choice if you want to remain undetected. Finally, using Tracker will help you hunt down enemies using their footprints, which is useful when you’re trying to get up-close and personal with your opponent.

Strange glitch in Warzone doesn’t show zone circle

Some Warzone players are being left helpless as a bug is not showing the zone circle and leaving them clueless as to where to rotate to.

warzone zone circle glitch

Warzone has a new glitch that is preventing players from being able to see the zone circle. As a result, players have no idea where to go.

A new inconvenience seems to spring up each week for Warzone with players having to second-guess what their experience is potentially going to be like.

The newest issue to arise is a glitch that causes the circle to not appear in BR Buy Back Solos. One player has shown-off evidence of the rather difficult proposition they were faced with. A substantial part of Battle Royale is anticipating the zone and getting a headstart on the next location. Whereas this bug eliminates any potential foresight and hinders you in the present.

Warzone zone circle bug

YouTube user HungLikeALemur is the unfortunate individual that encountered this weird occurrence and captured footage of it too.

In their video, the game loads, and they start their descent into Verdansk. One quick check of the map and it’s instantly apparent that something is amiss. Our player can see the map, but no discernible circle.

It becomes a random plunge into the map and hope for the best. Another reason why the circumstances are very unusual is that in the Buy Back Mode, you are supposed to start with $4500. But as the gameplay footage shows, they start with precisely $0.

Given that the starting money is affected, it would be wise to suggest that the root of this glitch is in the Buy Back Solos game mode.

It’s a strange one because even after a full minute of gameplay, the map is still completely devoid of the circle’s presence. We can only assume that it stayed this way and made for an even tougher Warzone than it already is.

There have been no reports of this glitch happening in the traditional battle royale mode, so fingers crossed it stays that way. If more reports of the zone circle not appearing are raised, then some action may have to be taken.

Best Warzone AS VAL loadout: Attachments & perks

How to maximize the AS VAL’s potential in both Warzone and Multiplayer.

Published

on

The AS VAL has one of the fastest time-to-kills in Warzone, so it’s well worth running as your secondary weapon. Here are the best attachments and perks to maximize the AS VAL’s potential in Warzone season 1.

There are plenty of viable weapons in Warzone Season 1, especially with every weapon from Black Ops Cold War being added to the game. The AS VAL is a surprising pick but can be extremely effective in the right situations.

Most Warzone players run a ‘main’ weapon such as a long-range Assault Rifle or Sniper, and carry another weapon in their ‘pocket’ for up close. Although being an Assault Rifle, the AS VAL packs a real punch in CQB, so is well worth running in your pocket.

Here are the best AS VAL loadouts for both Warzone’s Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

Best Warzone AS VAL loadout

  • Barrel: VLK 200mm Osa
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 30 Round Mags
  • Rear Grip: Rubberized Grip Tape

This AS VAL is built to dominate at close-medium range. Its strong recoil makes it difficult to control but its fast fire rate makes it one of the strongest at close-medium. Built-up areas of Verdansk such as Quarry, Hospital, and the clusters of houses around the map are where this weapon will excel. You can also pair it with a sniper rifle so you have a weapon for all situations.

The VLK 200mm Osa barrel comes with an internal Monolithic Suppressor, vastly increasing its range and bullet velocity. The iron sights on the VAL are unobtrusive, so you’re better off using them and taking advantage of the free attachment slot.

The Merc Foregrip is most commonly used on SMGs for its increase to hip-fire accuracy and mobility. It’s a perfect addition to the AS VAL as it reduces vertical recoil but will also help in those close range engagements. The Rubberized Grip Tape gives a further boost to recoil control but increases weapon sway. As this is a close-medium range weapon, don’t expect to be aiming down the sights for a lengthy amount of time.

With this weapon’s incredibly fast fire rate, the 30 round mag is necessary. You’ll find yourself only being able to down one opponent before reloading, so this weapon is especially effective in BR Solos.

Best perks to use with Warzone AS VAL

Warzone amped perk

To get the most out of your AS VAL, you need to have the best perks to match. These perks set you up for the match ahead, helping you survive in almost any Warzone situation.

Perk 1 – E.O.D

With how prevalent explosives are in Warzone, you need the perk to survive that. If an enemy gets you weak, expect Semtex’s and C4 to come flying at you. With E.O.D, as long as you have armor equipped, you’ll be able to tank an insane amount of explosive damage.

Perk 2 – Overkill then Ghost

Having weapons for all situations is incredibly important in Warzone, and Overkill grants you two weapons from any category.

Once you have Overkill from your first loadout, simply take a similar class with the Ghost perk, pick up both of your weapons, and you’ll have everything you need to win.

Perk 3 – Amped

With the AS VAL being best suited for close-medium range situations, you will need to swap between weapons in a hurry. Amped makes weapon swaps almost instant, so no matter what weapon you have in your hands, swapping them won’t be an issue.

Best Stoner 63 loadout for Warzone Season 1

Want to break out of the meta? Here’s the best loadout you can use for the Stoner 63 in Call of Duty: Warzone Season One.

Published

on

Here’s the best Stoner 63 loadout to use in Season 1 of Warzone.

Season 1 of Warzone post-Black Ops Cold War integration has been an interesting journey for the overall game meta.

Weapons like the DMR, Diamatti & Mac-10 dominated the game for weeks following the addition of 30+ new weapons. Since Raven has fixed those weapons, Warzone players are regularly discovering new, viable weapons for use.

Today, we’ll be focusing on the Stoner 63; one of the Light Machine Guns from Black Ops Cold War. This weapon has a very high fire rate and packs a huge punch at medium ranges. Here’s the loadout:

  • Muzzle – Agency Suppressor: A must-use for Warzone. Stats are identical to the Monolithic Suppressor, so you’ll have the extra range and your position masked on the radar when firing.
  • Optic – Axial Arms 3x: Decent zoom for the Stoner 63, optimal at medium ranges, where the Stoner really shines.
  • Underbarrel – Field Agent Grip: Extra recoil control for longer sprays.
  • Ammunition – 120 Round Speed Mag: More ammunition with faster reload speeds between gunfights.
  • Rear Grip – GRU Elastic Wrap: Aim down sights faster and flinch less when shot at.

Tips for the field

  • Medium-range destruction: We can’t emphasize this enough. The Stoner is amazing at medium ranges. Take down full squads with ease.
  • Mount for easy longshots: Mounting ensures little to no recoil while firing the stoner. If you see enemies far out, quickly mount on the cover for easy suppression.
  • Think ahead: The stoner isn’t the weapon you want at close range. Pair this up with your favorite shotgun or submachine gun to win close-quarters combat.
  • No barrel, no problem: The stock barrel for the stoner is great in Warzone as-is. If you really want some extra power, we recommend swapping the underbarrel with the Cavalry Lancer barrel, per advice from YouTuber JGOD.

Now get out there and wipe some squads!
