Best Sten loadout for Warzone Pacific Season 1
The race to find the new best SMG in Warzone is finally underway. The Sten hasn’t been the most popular pick but it definitely deserves consideration when equipped with the correct attachments that produce the best Sten loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 1.
Warzone Pacific Season 1’s mid-season update went live on January 13, bringing several weapon balancing changes, as well as the brand new Welgun SMG.
Excellent short-range options for Warzone Pacific are few and far between which makes the search for the MP-40’s successor quite challenging. The Sten is starting to gain some traction as an underrated pick due to its excellent fire rate. You’ll need the best Sten loadout to get the most out of the weapon and we’ve got you covered.

Best Warzone Sten loadout attachments
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: SA 65mm Rapid
- Optic: SA 32S
- Stock: Hockenson S33S Padded
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Magazine: 9mm 50 Round Drums
- Ammo Type: Incendiary
- Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
- Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
- Kit: Quick
Upon first use, the Sten may seem difficult to control but once you get the hang of its recoil pattern, you’ll enjoy the benefits of its excellent fire rate. For starters, we’ll max out the fire rate by adding the SA 65mm Rapid barrel.
This weapon is definitely going to need some attachments that contribute to recoil control and accuracy. The Carver Foregrip, Polymer Grip, and Hockenson S33S Padded stock will make this weapon much easier to control.
Incendiary ammo and the Recoil Booster muzzle will make this a deadly weapon in close quarters as it’ll shred through enemies. We can’t forget about ADS speed when it comes to SMGs and the SA 32S optic offers a nice boost in that regard.
The 9mm 50 Round Drums may seem excessive but they’re highly useful in Warzone when aiming to take down multiple enemies. The Sleight of Hand proficiency will make reloading the large magazine faster while Quick will improve your sprint speed.
Best Warzone Sten Perks & Equipment
- Perk 1: Cold Blooded
- Perk 2: Overkill (Ghost second loadout)
- Perk 3: Combat Scout
- Lethal: Throwing Knife
- Tactical: Stim
With Combat Scout running rampant across Caldera’s thick foliage, Cold Blooded will prevent enemies from using the third perk to track your movement. Of course, you’ll want to equip Combat Scout yourself and hope your enemies don’t use the same Cold Blooded strategy.
Before you switch to Ghost you’ll want to run Overkill as the Sten needs to be paired with a long-range weapon. Despite receiving a nerf, the Bren remains the top long-range option.
A Throwing Knife will help you quickly confirm kills on downed enemies that you’ve rushed with your Sten. Due to the Stim’s new “Super Slide” mechanic, it has become the top choice in terms of Tactical equipment.
How to unlock the Sten in Warzone Pacific
Luckily unlocking the Sten in Warzone and Vanguard is a supremely easy task that doesn’t require a significant amount of time. Players will need to hit Level 10 to unlock the Sten SMG.
If you’ve played any form of Vanguard or Warzone Pacific in the past few weeks, chances are the Sten is already accessible. Leveling up the weapon is a different story and may take some time. Luckily, players can take advantage of the upcoming Double XP event.
