warzone type 63 weapon

Black Ops Cold War Tactical Rifles have recently taken a break from Warzone’s meta, but they could be back thanks to Type 63. Find out how to make the best Warzone Type 63 loadout with the right perks and attachments.

Warzone’s meta was positively dominated by Cold War Tactical Rifles at one point, with the game becoming literal DMRzone, before being overrun by AUGs and M16s.

They were all nerfed to the point that they just weren’t as viable as other ARs, and although the Type 63 was having a resurgence back into the meta, thanks to the Season 5 Reloaded update, the Type 63 has been balanced to suit the rest of the Tactical Rifles.

With that being said, it is still a mighty weapon, so here are the attachments and perks to make the best Warzone Type 63 loadout and maximize its potential in Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

Best Warzone Type 63 loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: GRU Silencer
  • Barrel: 16.4″ Titanium
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Ammunition: 30 Rnd
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Grip

First, we’re adding the GRU Silencer. This works much like Modern Warfare’s Monolithic Suppressor, making the best Warzone Type 63 loadout do more damage at range while also keeping you off the minimap. It’s not worth using any other suppressor as it will lower bullet velocity, making long-range shots more difficult to land.

Although the 16.4″ Titanium Barrel says that it only increases fire rate, it actually has an impact on bullet velocity. This barrel makes your bullets travel much faster, giving you the edge in all fights over distance when using the best Warzone Type 63 loadout.

Next, we’re going with the Axial Arms 3x scope for the best Warzone Type 63 loadout. This gives excellent magnification without showing a glint. Use this optic to quickly take out unaware enemies at range and quickly snap onto sniper glints for effective counter-sniping.

The 30 Rnd mag allows you to fire more shots without reloading without slowing down your ADS, and the Serpent Grip gives an extra boost to that ADS time.

Best perks to use with Type 63 Warzone class

combat scout perk
  • Perk 1: Double Time
  • Perk 2: Overkill / Ghost
  • Perk 3: Combat Scout

Double Time is still a mega-valuable boost in the best Warzone Season 5, as the longer sprinting and quicker crouching makes sneaking up on enemies so much easier.

Overkill is a given as you need a long-range weapon to pair alongside the Gallo, such as the HDR. Whereas Ghost can be acquired in a second loadout and will stop you from being detected on UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors.

Thanks to Raven Software, Combat Scout is a new meta perk in Season 5, and you’d be foolish not to have this bad boy equipped. It can live ping the exact location of an enemy for five seconds, giving you a supreme advantage in a fight.

Most recent Type 63 buffs and nerfs

The Season 5 Reloaded update made many buffs and nerfs to weapons in Warzone, especially the Type 63.

Although the headshot multiplier and torso multipliers were slightly reduced, the neck multiplier and kickback were improved to help balance things out, making it a great choice in the Tactical Rifle class. You can find the exact details of these changes below:

  • Headshot Multiplier decreased from 2.1 to 1.58
  • Neck Multiplier increased from 1.2 to 1.58
  • Upper Torso Multiplier decreased from 1.2 to 1
