Best Type 100 loadout for CoD: Vanguard

Here are the best attachments and Perks to create an incredibly deadly Type 100 loadout in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

best vanguard type 100 loadout

The Type 100 is one of the last SMG unlocks in Vanguard, but players are now discovering its incredible power. Here are the attachment and Perks to create the best Type 100 loadout for Vanguard.

Vanguard is finally out in the wild, offering almost 40 weapons for players to grind their way through. Weapons like the STG44 have quickly become favorites, but the Type 100 SMG has started making waves thanks to its incredibly fast time-to-kill.

We’ve put together the best attachments and Perks for a stealthy, fast-killing Type 100 loadout.

Best Type 100 loadout attachments

Best attachments for Vanguard Type 100 loadout
  • Muzzle: M1929 Silencer
  • Barrel: Sakura 282MM Wrap
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Warubachi Skeletal
  • Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled
  • Magazine: .30 Russian Short 30 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Subsonic
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Proficiency: Vital
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

This Type 100 is built to quickly dart around the map, taking down multiple enemies by surprise. It’s not the rangiest build possible, so we recommend mounting if you need to take a long-range fight.

To start, we’re going with the attachments that will keep you stealthy. Combining the M1929 Silencer, Sakura 282MM Wrap barrel, and Subsonic Ammo will make you almost impossible to detect.

The Silencer will boost your accuracy and suppress your shots, the barrel hides enemy skulls and reduces the ‘fire visible to enemies’ stat, and the ammo will stop players running the Radar Perk from seeing your shots on the mini-map.

Unfortunately, these attachments will reduce the Type 100’s range, but the .30 Russian Short 30 Round Mags will make up for that. This magazine vastly increases the weapon’s damage, bullet velocity, and range – significantly lowering its time-to-kill.

The Type 100 is best suited for close-medium range combat, so we haven’t included a ton of attachments for recoil control. Instead, we’ve boosted its speed with the Warubachi Skeletal Stock and Fabric Grip. These will vastly improve the Type 100’s sprint-to-fire time, ensuring you can snap onto targets immediately.

To keep it accurate though, we’ve added the M1930 Strife Angled foregrip to reduce its bloom and allow you to stay on target when moving. The optic is up to you, but we’re big fans of the Slate Reflector.

And finally, the Vital Proficiency will give you headshot damage when hitting the upper chest, and Fully Loaded will ensure you don’t run out of ammo after a couple of reloads.

Best Perks to use with Type 100 in Vanguard

Ninja Perk in Call of Duty Vanguard
  • Perk 1: Ninja
  • Perk 2: Forward Intel
  • Perk 3: Lightweight

For the first Perk, we’ve opted for Ninja. Although missing from the Beta, Sledgehammer Games added it in the final build, almost completely masking footstep audio. This makes it perfect for our speedy and stealthy Type 100 build.

Next, Forward Intel will increase your mini-map size and show you exactly where enemies spawn. Controlling the map is extremely easy, and YouTuber JGOD even called it “completely broken.”

And finally, Lightweight will allow you to run faster, so you can quickly push enemy spawns to help your team control the map.

How to unlock the Type 100 in CoD: Vanguard

Vanguard type 100 unlock requiement

To unlock the Type 100 in Vanguard, you need to hit Level 39, which makes it one of the game’s later weapon unlocks.

This will likely take several hours, but you can use our guide on how to level up fast if you want to speed up the process.

Best alternatives to the Type 100 in CoD: Vanguard

If you haven’t unlocked the Type 100 yet or it isn’t your cup of tea, there are plenty of other viable options. The MP-40 is arguably one the most powerful SMGs in the game, and the Automaton Assault Rifle will beam enemies across the map with ease.

And that’s everything you need to be an absolute menace on Vanguard’s maps with the Type 100.

Vanguard Season 1 brings a host of fresh content to the game, with new operators, multiplayer maps, and Warzone’s Pacific Caldera map.

As always, a new season also means new weapons, and players will receive five new ways to kill enemies over the course of the first season. One of the most interesting of these is the Cooper Carbine, an Assault Rifle with the characteristics of an SMG.

Whether this gun will completely change the meta remains to be seen, but we’ve got the best attachments and perks to create the ultimate Cooper Carbine loadout.

Best Vanguard Cooper Carbine class

Vanguard Cooper Carbine loadout
  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: 22″ Cooper Custom
  • Stock: Cooper 54RS
  • Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
  • Magazine: .30 Carbine 45 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Hollow Point
  • Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
  • Proficiency: Vital
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

This loadout is perfect for aggressive players. The Carver Foregrip is great for recoil control, while we picked the .30 Carbine 45 Round Mags but feel you can choose whichever you prefer.

The Hollow Point ammo type increases damage to limbs, which is lethal when combine with the Vital proficiency for increased critical hits. Pine Tar Grip helps with recoil control and hip-fire accuracy, while we always prefer the Fully Loaded kit to start with max ammo.

Best Perks to use with Vanguard Cooper Carbine

Lightweight perk in Vanguard
  • Perk 1: Ghost
  • Perk 2: Forward Intel
  • Perk 3: Lightweight

For Perks, Ghost is always a great option, keeping you hidden from enemy Spy Planes. Forward Intel is also useful, as it lets you know where the enemy is spawning and can help you create traps for enemies.

Finally, the Cooper Carbine is great for aggressive players, so teaming it with Lightweight will help you get around the map quickly.

How to unlock Cooper Carbine in Vanguard

Unlocking the Cooper Carbine is pretty straightforward. Players just need to reach Tier 15 of the Warzone & Vanguard Season 1 Battle Pass.

This can be accomplished by playing matches, or by purchasing the Premium Battle Pass, which unlocks the first 20 Tiers immediately.

Best Vanguard Cooper Carbine alternatives

While the Cooper Carbine does feel like an SMG, some players will prefer the MP-40 or Type 100, which are the best guns in the class.

If you feel like you are not able to kill enemies at range, the Automaton or STG-44 are the best Assault Rifles in Vanguard.

The Cooper Carbine is new to the game, so we’re not sure how it stacks up against other weapons. If you want to see how your favorites perform, check out our full Vanguard best weapons ranked list.

As soon as you hit Tier 15 of the Battle Pass, the Cooper Carbine will immediately be added to your inventory. You’ll then be able to create loadouts with it in both Vanguard and Warzone.

The Cooper Carbine is a very interesting weapon. Despite being classed as an Assault Rifle, it functions best at short range, meaning it feels more like an SMG than anything else.
