Best Vanguard Zombies weapons to use in Season 5’s The Archon
Vanguard Zombies has been given a welcome breath of life with Season 5’s round-based The Archon. You’ll need the best weapons to survive, so here are the top five weapons in Vanguard Zombies.
After a poorly-received launch, Vanguard Zombies finally added a classic round-based experience with the Season 4 update. In Season 5, the devs delivered a round-based version of Terra Maledicta, titled The Archon.
Whether you’re looking to last as long as possible in Der Anfang, Terra Maledicta, and Shi No Numa or want to achieve the highest round you can in The Archon, you’ll need the best weapons. While almost any weapon can be viable, we’re counting down the top five you should equip in Vanguard Zombies Season 5.

5. Panzerfaust
With the right Covenants, the Panzerfaust Launcher will be able to decimate any zombie that comes at you in Vanguard Zombies thanks to its huge splash damage.
You’ll find the Panzerfaust pretty ineffective for the first few rounds, but keep visiting the Altar of Covenants until you equip the Legendary Death Blow, Explosives Expert, and Critical Expertise.
Combined, you’ll get more rockets back for any critical hits, you’ll get critical hits for body shots, and you’ll be completely immune to your Panzerfaust’s splash damage. With this, you can just run around and blow up any zombie in sight.
4. Whitley LMG
The only fully automatic weapon on this list, the Whitley LMG is perfect for Vanguard Zombies players who want to unleash a torrent of bullets at the incoming hordes.
While it doesn’t have the same raw damage output as some of the other weapons on this list, its low recoil and high fire rate allow it to shred through Zombies extremely fast. It becomes especially powerful when Pack-a-Punched, so make sure you upgrade it as soon as possible.
3. Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle
The Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle will reward accurate Vanguard Zombies players with its headshots dealing incredibly high damage.
Equipped with the Death Blow Covenant, you’ll keep getting ammo back for every headshot you land, making up for its low magazine size. You may struggle when surrounded by hordes of the undead, but there are few weapons that’ll chew through a Sturmkreiger’s armor faster.
2. Combat Shotgun
The Combat Shotgun is the perfect weapon when starting out in Vanguard Season 5‘s The Archon thanks to its high damage and quick reload.
The Combat Shotgun deals devastating damage per shot, and thanks to its magazine, you’ll be able to reload almost instantly.
It only gets better as the rounds go on and you start unlocking Covenants. Like all of the weapons on this list, the Death Blow Covenant is vital as it keeps your ammo topped up at all times.
1. Einhorn Revolving – Best Vanguard Zombies weapon
The Einhorn Revolving Shotgun is by far the best weapon you can use in Vanguard Zombies thanks to its devastating damage and high fire rate.
The Einhorn’s only drawback is its incredibly long reload, but that can be easily countered by picking up the Death Blow Covenant. With almost unlimited ammo and a semi-automatic fire rate, you’re completely set up for success and will make short work of any enemy that gets in your way.
