Best Volk loadout for CoD: Vanguard Beta

The Volk has turned out to be one of the best weapons in the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta, so here’s how to make the best class.

The Volk hasn’t received the fanfare that other weapons have in Vanguard, and yet it still absolutely ruins the opposition. Find out how to make the best Call of Duty: Vanguard Volk class with complete attachments and Perks.

Vanguard has a ton of interesting and varied weapons for players to try out. Not only that, but the return of the 10-attachment Gunsmith system is going to make for a lot of different loadouts too.

Given that it only unlocks at Level 30 in the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta, not many players have had a chance to give the Volk Assault Rifle a go. Whereas the STG44 has been taking all the headlines in this class, the Volk could be out to steal its crown.

Here’s our best Volk Assault Rifle loadout in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Best Vanguard Volk Gunsmith loadout attachments

volk assault rifle in cod vanguard
  • Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
  • Barrel: Krausnick 428MM 05V
  • Optic: State Reflector
  • Stock: Reisdorf 22V Adjustable
  • Underbarrel: MK6 Para
  • Magazine: .30 Russian Short 45 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Subsonic
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
  • Kit: Defender

The perfect starter attachment is the F8 Stabilizer muzzle as it sacrifices less important attributes to increase range and decrease recoil. Whereas the Krausnick 428MM 05V is the best barrel as it also helps range and recoil.

Our Optic choice has to be the State Reflector as it’s just so clean and wide, offering tremendous visibility, and the Residorf 22V Adjustable boosts the vital gun stats.

The MK6 Para retrieves some of that lost ADS speed, the additional firepower of the .30 Russian Short 45 Round Drums is too good to pass up, and Subsonic rounds keep you hidden on the map.

A go-to attachment for many guns is the Stippled Grip as it improves recoil and centering at no cost, Sleight of Hand helps us reload our .30 Russian Short 45 Round Drums a bit quicker, and Defender can lock down even more precise shots.

Best Perks to run with Vanguard Volk

cod vanguard ghost perk
  • Perk 1: Ghost
  • Perk 2: Radar
  • Perk 3: Tactician

Ghost is a perfect Perk One pick in Call of Duty: Vanguard as its ability to hide you away from Spy Planes, Field Mics, and Enemy Intel is too valuable to pass up.

Potentially the most effective Perk in Vanguard is Radar, as it helps to sniff out any enemies firing weapons on the minimap that ordinarily wouldn’t show up.

Our Volk loadout has a lot of ammo and rounds to use, so it might be beneficial to go for Tactician for quicker equipment restocks so that you can drop more MK V Gas grenades and Molotovs.

How to unlock the Volk in Vanguard

volk gunsmith customization

The Volk is more desirable to players as it takes a great deal of effort to unlock in the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta.

To wield the Volk AR, you’ll need to be Level 30. Depending on its own performance and how gamers have reacted to other guns, its unlock parameters may be altered between now and the game’s release date.

Best alternatives to Vanguard Volk

Vanguard has more than enough options to keep the gameplay interesting, and we have picked out one or two that should help you to shake things up.

If you want consistency and one of the top meta picks, then you can never go wrong with the all-around beast that is the best MP-40 loadout for the CoD: Vanguard Beta. If you want something a bit different, then the MG42 is an underrated monster of a weapon that can definitely cause some serious damage.

Vanguard devs explain why game size will be much smaller than Warzone & Cold War

Thanks to new tech, Call of Duty: Vanguard’s file size is set to be much smaller than Warzone and Cold War at launch.

Call of Duty players have grown increasingly frustrated with Warzone and Cold War’s massive file size, but Activision has explained why the problem will be fixed in Vanguard.

As Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Black Ops Cold War continue to update, the games’ file sizes have kept growing. Black Ops Cold War is now sitting at around 200 GB, with Warzone adding at least another 50 GB. If you have a smaller hard drive, Call of Duty doesn’t leave much room for anything else.

Activision already allows you to uninstall certain aspects of the games such as Campaign and Zombies, but they have plans to significantly reduce Vanguard’s file size at launch.

“Good news for hard drives everywhere,” tweeted Call of Duty on October 26. “Vanguard’s install size at launch will be significantly below previous Call of Duty releases.”

They didn’t reveal Vanguard’s exact file size, but players can expect to “save up to 30%-50%+ on next-gen console and PC hard drive disk space.” Although last-gen consoles weren’t mentioned, next-gen editions take up significantly more room, so this should bring the sizes more in-line.

This will be done through “new on-demand texture streaming tech,” which is already available in Modern Warfare and Warzone for PC. Rather than taking up space on your hard drive, textures are downloaded on the go. Warzone players previously saved around 25 GB when it was introduced, but their new tech appears to be more effective at reducing file size.

Of course, this could cause issues for players with a poor internet connection, so it remains to be seen if it’ll be optional.

This also lines up with the Microsoft Store listing that Vanguard will be 75 GB on Xbox One, and 95 GB on Xbox Series X|S. These early sizes are much smaller than Cold War’s 133 GB launch size.

Warzone and Vanguard will integrate later this year, bringing the new RICOCHET anti-cheat and new Pacific map. Warzone is currently tied to Modern Warfare, but it’s expected to shift over to Vanguard with Season 1. This could bring across the new tech, but we’ll need to wait for official confirmation.

We’re less than a fortnight away from Vanguard’s November 5 release, so we expect to find out more details before launch.

Warzone leaker claims new Pacific map won’t be set in WW2 like Vanguard

The new Pacific map is set to drop in Warzone later this year, but fans will be suprised to hear that it may not use Vanguard’s WWII setting.

The release of Call of Duty: Vanguard is right around the corner, bringing a brand new Pacific map with it when it integrates into Warzone later this year. According to a well-known leaker, though, the new map won’t be using Vanguard’s WW2 setting.

Warzone Season 6 is the swansong for Verdansk, the map that fans have been playing on from the very start.

Following the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard, the new title will integrate into the CoD battle royale later this year, bringing in fresh features like RICOCHET anti-cheat and a long-awaited new map.

But according to a respected CoD leaker, fans might be surprised to hear that the new Pacific map isn’t going to adopt the same World War II setting as Vanguard itself.

With the Vanguard integration and the Pacific map coming hand-in-hand, many fans may have assumed that we’d be traveling even further back in time for the next Warzone season.

However, the leaker claims to have sources that have informed them otherwise.

“The Pacific Warzone map is not set in WWII,” the leaker said on Twitter. “I have a good source for this information, it’s not based on anything simple.”

Unfortunately, they did not go into specifics about who the source is and what information led them to draw this conclusion.

Much like Verdansk, given that the Pacific map will likely be home to Warzone matches across multiple CoD releases, avoiding the historic setting may help with integrating future games in the series.

Fans also responded saying they would understand why it makes sense to stay away from World War II in Warzone, as it would help explain why Modern Warfare and Cold War weapons are littered across the map.

The leaker urged fans to take the news lightly until Raven officially announce more details on the new map.

“I don’t ever want to say anything that’s incorrect, or too early to say where it could be changed,” they said. “As with any unofficial information, feel free to take it with a grain of salt until it’s confirmed.”

We won’t know for sure exactly which time period the Pacific map is set in until more trailers and information emerge.

With Call of Duty: Vanguard so close to launch, fans should have to wait too long to hear about the next chapter of Warzone.

JGOD explains the best Warzone weapons ahead of CoD: Vanguard integration

Here are all of the best weapons in Call of Duty Warzone before the Vanguard integration according to expert weapon analyzer JGOD.

JGOD best warzone weapons vanguard

The next entry in the CoD franchise is almost here which means a whole new batch of weapons will be added to Warzone. Here’s how JGOD ranks every weapon in Warzone pre-Vanguard integration.

When a new game integrates with Warzone, there’s always a huge shift in the meta. Some OP weapons become completely unviable, and the new weapons can wreak havoc.

With the arrival of Call of Duty: Vanguard looming on the horizon, players are anxious to see how the integration will affect the current weapons. Will Raven overcompensate the Vanguard weapons? Or will the new weapons fall to the bottom of every tier list?

Regardless, there’s still time before the integration takes place. And JGOD, an expert at weapon analysis, breaks down every weapon in Warzone before the Vanguard integration.

JGOD’s explain best meta weapons in Warzone

Vanguard releases on November 5th, but we don’t know when the WW2 weapons will be brought to Warzone. We only know that it will be sometime this year.

Best Melee and Launchers in Warzone

You may not choose these for your custom loadout, but they are in JGODs Warzone meta. Here are the best Melee weapons and launchers in Warzone.

You may have noticed that there weren’t any Shotgun or Tactical Rifles on JGOD’s list, and that’s because none of them are in the current meta. This could change when Warzone integrates with Vanguard, or when we move to the Pacific Map.

It’s also important to note that these weapons may not stay in the meta for long. The Warzone/Vanguard integration has the potential to obliterate this tier list. If that’s the case, keep your eyes on our Best Weapons in Warzone tier list.
