Hearing footsteps and other audio cues are vital to winning matches of Call of Duty: Warzone, so we’ve put together the best audio settings to give you the competitive edge.
Audio is everything in Call of Duty, especially in Warzone. With how slow and tactical battle royale games can be, hearing enemy footsteps, a window break, or a door open can give you all the information you need to score a victory.
Especially in the Gulag, being able to hear the enemy’s footsteps will allow you to know exactly where they are, giving you a welcome advantage.
We’ve compiled the best audio settings you can run in CoD: Warzone.
The best Warzone audio settings
To make sure you’re getting maximum spatial awareness from Warzone’s audio, you should try and use headphones instead of TV or monitor speakers – even a cheap pair of earphones will be better.
We understand not everyone can afford a headset, so here are the best audio settings regardless of what you’re listening through:
- Audio Mix: Boost High
- Master Volume: 80%
- Music Volume: 0%
- Dialogue Volume: 50%
- Effects Volume: 100%
- War Tracks Volume: 30%
Most competitive players, be them professionals or content creators, agree that Boost High is the best audio setting. Footsteps, which are by the far the most important detail to be listening out for, have a high frequency. Explosions and distant gunshots have a low frequency, so Boost High will amplify the footsteps over anything else.
After setting the Audio Mix to Boost High, it’s mostly down to preference depending on your headset/speakers. However, there are a few settings you can optimize for the best competitive performance.
While the soundtrack for Modern Warfare and Warzone is pretty great, having music playing will offer no competitive advantage. If you’re focused on getting a win, the music will unnecessarily rack up tension in the final zone when you should be listening out for audio cues. For this reason, we’ve set the Music Volume to 0%.
Season 1 of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War has vastly improved upon the songs available for War Tracks which now include some of the biggest hits from the 1980s. If you want to still have music playing while in vehicles, but also want to hear audio from outside, set the volume to 30%.
Unless the enemy has Dead Silence popped, with these audio settings, nobody should be able to sneak up on you in Warzone.

Best FARA 83 loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 3
Season 3 of Warzone saw some major changes be made to the Fara 83 that will have players wanting to use its best possible loadout.
The FARA 83 Assault Rifle is one of the weapons that got major changes in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3, and you can make it a formidable force by using its best loadout.
Players will notice that the Season 3 update for Warzone made some major changes to a variety of weapons, including the powerful FARA 83. This assault rifle is based on the Galil and can deal some serious damage to its targets.
After you’ve unlocked it, you can equip a few select attachments and perks to make the weapon an absolute powerhouse during combat. Here is the best FARA 83 Assault Rifle loadout and class setup for Warzone Season 3.
Best Warzone Season 3 FARA 83 loadout
The FARA 83 has an impressive rate of fire, high damage profile, and incredibly precise accuracy that makes it extremely deadly. Our loadout will boost these strengths while improving upon the recoil, effective damage range, and overall speed.
Best Fara 83 attachments
- Muzzle: Gru Suppressor
- Barrel: 18.1″ Takedown
- Laser: None
- Optic: None
- Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
- Underbarrel: Foregrip
- Ammunition: Spetsnaz 50 Rnd
We’ll start this loadout with the Gru Suppressor, which will help you avoid enemy detection on their radars, while also drastically increasing the damage range of this assault rifle. This will allow you to dish out heavy amounts of damage at further distances.
The 18.2″ Takedown Barrel will improve both the Assault Rifle’s effective damage range. This helps prime the weapon for mid to long-range combat where you need to pick off enemies from a distance by having the largest damage increase of all of the gun’s available barrels.
You can use the KGB Skeletal Stock to increase your sprint to fire speed, ADS firing move speed, and aim walking movement speed to help you aim and fire with incredible speed which is perfect for close to mid-range combat scenarios.
The foregrip will give you the biggest boost in accuracy when it comes to the underbarrel attachments and will help you land more of your shots than without it.
We’ll complete this loadout by equipping the Spetsnaz 50 Rnd Mag so that you can take advantage of the weapon’s incredible fire rate and have enough ammo to take down multiple enemies before having to reload.
Best perks for Warzone FARA 83 class
You can combine a few useful perks with these attachments so that you’re prepared for anything that match will throw at you. You’ll be able to handle most surprises that you encounter in Warzone by selecting these.
Perk 1 – E.O.D
It doesn’t matter how skilled you are if you’re caught off-guard by foes carrying explosives. Other players will attempt to blow you up while you’re in a good position during battle, so you’ll want to equip E.O.D to survive.
This perk allows you to tank huge amounts of explosive damage while you have your armor equipped. While you’ll mostly be fighting in medium to long-range combat situations, it still helps to be prepared for any surprises.
Perk 2 – Overkill
Warzone matches can have a variety of different tactical requirements, so you can equip this perk which allows you to select two primary weapons from any category. This means that you’ll be able to keep guns that are ideal for different situations.
Perk 3 –Amped
In case an enemy is able to sneak up on you in close quarters, you’ll want to swap to your secondary weapon before they have a chance to eliminate you. This perk makes switching weapons almost instant, which can be the difference between victory and defeat.
That covers our class setup for this powerful AR. We also recommend carrying some Semtex grenades to dish out explosive damage C4 to enemy vehicles. The Heartbeat Sensor can help you detect nearby foes, so you can strategize better.
How to Unlock the Fara 83 in Warzone Season 3
You can unlock this assault rifle by getting 2 headshots kills in 15 different matches while using assault rifles in Cold War Multiplayer or Warzone. Players can also unlock this assault rifle by going into Black Ops Cold War Zombies and killing 30 or more enemies consecutively without getting hit 25 times.

Original Verdansk map will not be playable again following Warzone nuke event
CoD: Warzone’s historic Season 2 nuke event means that the original version of Verdansk will never be playable ever again.
The destruction of Verdansk to rid the map of the Zombie invasion in Season 2 has caused some serious knock-on effects. It’s been confirmed that the original version of Verdansk will never be playable again in Warzone.
For weeks it was rumored that Raven Software was going to make some big changes to Warzone’s classic battle royale map, and that’s proven to be the case. Verdansk has been nuked, and it might sadden players to know that they will not be able to enjoy the first incarnation of Verdansk again.
After a year of players dropping into Verdansk, it did feel like the right time to shake things up and make some substantial changes to the map.
If you missed “The Destruction of Verdansk Part I”, players that took part were thrown into a normal game of Warzone, only, every POI was infected. The likes of Superstore and Train Station would have their respective radiation zones grow at an exponential rate.
If you died, you came back as a Zombie no matter what. Instead of the late-Season addition of temporarily turning into a Zombie, this version kept you infinitely spawning as one.
Whilst all this was going on, the “Level 4 containment protocol” warning was triggering, the containment levels were slowly rising, and the gas was closing in quicker than ever.

Even with the return of Juggernaut suits, the mode’s goal of exfiling was impossible as no one was meant to escape. It was the end of Verdansk as we knew it.
But it seems like this will be the end of Verdansk, this version anyway, forever as Raven Software has confirmed with us that the setup of Verdansk we’ve grown to love over the last year will never be playable in any form again.
Players will now be playing on Verdansk ’84, which features updated POIs, new locales based on the Black Ops series, and more enhancements for the world.
