Best Warzone Iron Trials loadouts

Warzone’s Rebirth Iron Trials brings the hardcore experience to Call of Duty’s battle royale, and you will want to use the best loadout to dominate your enemies when playing.

Warzone Pacific Season 2 has brought several changes that have been loved by the community, especially the changes to Vanguard Royale such as Redeploy Balloons and a higher TTK. But that’s not all that’s arrived in Warzone Season 2, as the fan-favorite Iron Trials mode has returned, this time in Rebirth Island.

Rebirth Iron Trials changes up Warzone in significant ways, such as higher prices for Buy Stations and more health for players, which means you will have to build a loadout specifically designed to succeed in the environment of Iron Trials.

With this in mind, here are the best Iron Trials primary weapons, secondary weapons, Perks & equipment to help you succeed when you drop into Rebirth Island.

Best Warzone Rebirth Iron Trials loadouts

Players have much more health in Iron Trials ’84 than the regular version of Warzone, which means you will want to have hard-hitting weapons to dish out as much damage per mag as possible. Plus, they need to be easy to control thanks to the higher TTK.

With this in mind, here are the best primary and secondary weapon loadouts to use in Rebirth Iron Trials.

Best Warzone Iron Trials primary weapon loadouts

The two primary weapons that players will want to utilize in the best Warzone Iron Trials loadout are Cold War’s AK-47, the Bren, and Vanguard’s G-43 Marksman Rifle.

Plus, there’s currently a game-breaking glitch with Vanguard’s Marksman Rifles where they have the same damage profiles as Sniper Rifles, meaning you can one-shot players in the head.

You can check out the best Iron Trials loadouts for each weapon below.

Best Warzone Iron Trials secondary weapon loadouts

If you’re looking for a solid secondary weapon to take into Warzone’s Rebirth Iron Trials, we recommend the Owen Gun in an Overkill loadout, and the Sykov Pistol in any other loadout.

The Owen Gun has great damage per mag and easy to control recoil, and it’s hard to go wrong with the Sykov’s rapid-fire barrel and huge magazine. Feel free to swap out the Sykov for an SMG picked up from a defeated enemy, though.

You can check out the best Iron Trials loadouts for the secondary weapons below.

Best Warzone Iron Trials Owen Gun loadout

  • Magazine: 9mm 72 Round Mags
  • Ammunition: Hollow Point
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip

Best Warzone Iron Trials Sykov loadout

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Sorokin 140mm Auto
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Ammunition: 80 Round Drums
  • Rear Grip: VLK Prizrak

Best Perks and equipment for Warzone Iron Trials

  • Perk 1: Quick Fix
  • Perk 2: Overkill / Restock / High Alert
  • Perk 3: Amped / Combat Scout
  • Lethal Equipment: Throwing Knife
  • Tactical Equipment: Stim

Due to the increased health and delayed healing features of the Iron Trials ’84 mode, players will want to use equipment and Perks that help you heal faster and stay in the fight longer.

The two most important pieces when it comes to the Perks and equipment for the best Iron Trials loadout are Quick Fix and the Throwing Knife.

You don’t want to waste bullets in finishing a downed enemy, so the Throwing Knife will take them out in an instant. And with Iron Trials mode’s slower health regen, Quick Fix will allow you to get your health back as soon as you kill an enemy. Plus, the Stim will speed this process up even more.

Hopefully, these weapon loadouts, Perks, and equipment will help you secure an Iron Trials Victory and earn the exclusive Calling Card.

Warzone devs finally nerf broken speed boost attachments

Vanguard SMGs could be built to have incredibly fast sprint speeds in Warzone Season 4, but the devs fixed the issue in a June 25 hotfix.

Published

Warzone players could move faster than ever thanks to Vanguard weapons’ speed boost attachments receiving major buffs in Season 4. However, they were never meant to be that powerful, and the devs have now fixed the issue.

Getting around as fast as possible, using your movement speed to finesse opponents and break their ankles, is a huge part of Warzone’s skill gap. This gap only got larger with the Season 4 update and the new Marco 5 SMG, as Vanguard SMGs could be built to have game-breaking sprint speeds.

This was a divisive change, with high-skill players loving the new movement mechanics. However, it didn’t last long, with Raven’s Senior Game Designer explaining why they dialed back the movement speed.

Warzone players were moving so fast with the Taped and Leather Grip attachments that they could actually walk faster than someone with a Modern Warfare weapon could run. But, Warzone’s devs clarified that these attachments weren’t working as intended and set them right.

Raven Software released a small hotfix on Saturday, June 25, that finally nerfed these speed attachments. Tully Ackland, Raven’s Senior Game Designer, took to Twitter to confirm that the “Taped Grip (and Leather) are now ‘as intended.'”

Many players were upset to see the speed boost attachments nerfed, explaining that they helped to increase the skill gap. Ackland understood the frustration but said he owns up to the mistake — “fostering a healthy skill gap is a goal, but this was pretty insane.”

“The primary goal of the attachment tuning was to enable choice when building a load out,” he explained. “‘Some’ increased mobility on Taped is still a valuable pick when going for your ‘gotta go fast’ builds.'”

However, it’s entirely possible that we’ll see incredible movement speed like this again, as he teased that it “has good potential for an LTM.”

We can also expect the NZ-41 to be nerfed in the coming weeks, as Ackland also said it’s “not where I’d like it to be right now.”

Warzone’s overpowered NZ-41 could receive major nerf soon

Warzone’s Senior Game Designer has hinted that the NZ-41 could receive a nerf soon, admitting that the AR is too easy to use.

Published

on

The NZ-41 has emerged as Warzone’s number one weapon in recent weeks, and the Assault Rifle’s dominance has continued into Season 4. In response to calls for a change, devs have now hinted that the NZ-41 could be hit by a serious nerf very soon.

Despite the two new weapons introduced in Warzone Season 4 so far, the NZ-41 has remained the go-to for many players. The Vanguard Assualt Rifle overtook the STG-44 as the game’s most popular weapon towards the end of Season 3 and has stayed on top of the tree ever since.

This may not be the case for much longer, however, as Raven Software’s Senior Game Designer, Tully Ackland, has revealed that he thinks the NZ-41 has actually become too simple to use, hinting that a change could be on the way very soon.

After tweeting to announce that the Taped and Leather Grip attachments, which were were granting incredibly fast sprint speeds early in Warzone Season 4, had been fixed, many players responded to Ackland calling for an NZ-41 nerf.

One player said: “The NZ is a problem. ARs in general should not be that easy to control… especially at that range.”

Ackland responded agreeing that the NZ-41 isn’t functioning as intended. “Agreed it’s not where I’d like it to be right now. There are weapons designed to be easy to use, the NZ isn’t one of them,” he explained.

Popular YouTuber TheTacticalBrit also messaged calling for a “big shakeup” to the meta, believing that the NZ-41 and STG-44 feel too similar at the moment.

Once again, Tully Ackland acknowledged the problem and admitted that the team may have gone too far when trying to make the AR into a more useable weapon. “We over indexed on the enhancements to make it viable,” he replied.

While the dev didn’t go as far as officially confirming that the NZ-41 will be nerfed, it’s clear that the team isn’t happy with how dominant the gun has been. We’d expect Raven to be working on a nerf that makes the AR less overpowered but still a viable option going forward.

The June 2 update gave the NZ a boost in range and bullet velocity, while also reducing the amount of recoil. Don’t be surprised to see one, if not all, of these areas changed in a future update.

There’s no timeframe on when the nerf could be rolled out just yet, so we’ll have to wait and see what the team has in store for us as we head towards Warzone Season 4 Reloaded.
