Best M91 loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 5

M91 LMG in call of duty warzone

In the open meta of Warzone Season 5, it’s well worth experimenting with some of the lesser-used weapons. The M91 is a powerful choice if built right, so we’ve got the best attachments and Perks to dominate with this LMG.

No weapon outright dominates Warzone Season 5, so there’s a lot of room to test out weapons that you might have never used before. One of these underused weapons is Modern Warfare’s M91 LMG.

The M91 is in no way a meta weapon thanks to its heavy nature, but like all LMGs, it hits extremely hard once you’ve got a player in your sights. You won’t be darting around and finessing your opponents, but you’ll be able to lay down excellent cover fire for your squad.

Here are the best attachments and Perks to build the best M91 loadout.

Best M91 Warzone loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: M91 Special Forces
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip

To start, we’ve opted for the standard Monolithic Suppressor. This keeps you off the minimap when firing, and also increases the M91’s damage range and bullet velocity.

Next, we’ve gone for the M91 Special Forces barrel. This dramatically increases the range and bullet velocity without severely affecting mobility. For another mobility boost, the Tac Laser attachments will vastly increase your ADS speed.

For scopes, the VLK 3.0x Optic is an unobtrusive sight that provides the perfect magnification. It’s the perfect choice for any medium-long Modern Warfare weapon, so it belongs on the M91 too.

And finally, to keep this beast under control, the Commando Foregrip will grant almost no recoil. It massively helps with aiming stability and recoil control, which is perfect for taking on full squads with this weighty Warzone LMG.

Best Perks to run with Warzone’s M91

Warzone Cold Blooded Perk to use with M91
  • Perk 1: Cold-Blooded
  • Perk 2: Overkill then Ghost
  • Perk 3: Amped

The Combat Scout Perk quickly became a popular choice thanks to its “wallhack” ability, so Cold-Blooded is a great choice to directly counter it.

You’ll need another weapon alongside the M91 for close-range fights, such as an SMG or Shotgun. Overkill allows you to take two primary weapons, then it’s worth getting Ghost from your next loadout to hide from UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors.

With how heavy the M91 is, you need to use Amped alongside it. You’ll be able to quickly switch to the SMG or Shotgun of your choice, keeping you powerful at any range.

The M91 hasn’t been touched in Warzone since August 2020. However, Raven Software is looking to buff “struggling” Modern Warfare weapons, so the M91 could be adjusted in a future update.

How to unlock the M91 in Warzone

You just need to hit Level 25 in Warzone to unlock the M91 and start ranking it up. Plus, thanks to the joint progression system, you can earn it by playing either Modern Warfare, Warzone, or Black Ops Cold War.

Best M91 alternatives

There are plenty of viable LMGs in Warzone Season 5, with the PKM taking our number one spot. Also, the Stoner 63 has seen a resurgence, being a powerful option for all playstyles.
