Best Warzone Shotgun loadouts for Season 5: Ranked & tier list

If you’re looking for the most powerful close-range weapons Warzone has to offer, here are the five best Shotgun loadouts for Season 5.

best shotguns in Warzone

If you’re looking to get up close and personal in Call of Duty: Warzone, here are the five best Shotgun loadouts you should be running.

With Warzone players having an arsenal of weapons from Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare at their disposal, there is plenty of choice for those close-range engagements. SMGs such as the Bullfrog are extremely popular, but for a little more stopping power up close, you can’t go wrong with a trusty Shotgun.

With how many fights occur indoors in Warzone, a Shotgun is a perfect accompaniment for getting up in players’ faces. We’ve compiled the five best Shotguns, and their attachments, that you should run in Warzone Season 5.

Best Warzone Shotgun ranked list

Call of Duty: Warzone has nine Shotguns in total, each suiting their own unique situation. However, as with all weapons, some are better than others.

We’ve placed every Shotgun from Modern Warfare and Cold War into a ranked Warzone list.

  1. Gallo SA12
  2. JAK-12
  3. Streetsweeper
  4. Origin 12
  5. R-90
  6. VLK Rogue
  7. Hauer 77
  8. Model 680
  9. 725

5. Best R9-0 Warzone class

If you’ve been playing Warzone for a while, you’ll remember how the Dragon’s Breath R9-0 dominated all close-range fights.

  • Muzzle: Choke
  • Barrel: FORGE TAC Sentry
  • Laser: 5mW Laser
  • Ammunition: Dragon’s Breath Rounds
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape

With Dragons Breath Rounds equipped, every player should fear the ‘doof doof’ sounds this weapon makes. Two shots from the R9-0 will down a fully armored player, and another couple will instantly finish them.

While nowhere near as popular as it once was, this R9-0 build will still dominate close-range engagements.

4. Best Origin 12 Shotgun Warzone class

If you want a Shotgun with an insanely fast fire rate and the damage to back it up, the Origin 12 is the weapon for you.

  • Muzzle: Choke
  • Barrel: FORGE TAC Impaler
  • Laser: 5mW Laser
  • Ammunition: No Stock
  • Rear Grip: 25 Round Drum Mags

This semi-automatic Shotgun loadout is built to output relentless damage, barely giving your targets time to react. We’ve added a Choke instead of a silencer, but when you’re up in an enemy’s face with the Origin 12, it’ll be too late for the mini-map to help them.

3. Best Streetsweeper Warzone class

Introduced in Black Ops Cold War Season 1, the Streetsweeper is an automatic Shotgun that’s deadly up close.

  • Muzzle: Agency Choke
  • Barrel: 13″ Reinforced Heavy
  • Laser: SWAT 5mW Laser Sight
  • Stock: Wire Stock
  • Ammunition: STANAG 18 RND

This loadout will allow you to take out whole teams at close range, and the silencer means you’ll get off several shots before they even know what’s happening.

Just be careful of the Streetsweepers reload time, however, as it’s exceptionally slow.

2. Best JAK-12 Warzone class

Although relatively unpopular, the JAK-12 is an excellent weapon for taking out full squads in the blink of an eye.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: ZLR J-3600 Torrent
  • Laser: 5mW Laser
  • Ammunition: 20 Round Drum Mags
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape

Modern Warfare’s JAK-12 acts very similarly to Cold War’s Streetsweeper but has the advantage of a much faster reload. Rather than feeding every shell individually, the JAK-12 has a magazine allowing for a fast reload.

If you plan on pushing buildings with a whole squad camping inside, the JAK-12 could be the perfect Shotgun for you.

1. Best Gallo SA12 Warzone class

Reminiscent of the fan-favorite SPAS-12 from the original Black Ops, the Gallo SA12 packs a punch in all indoor situations.

  • Muzzle: Agency Choke
  • Barrel: 21.4″ Reinforced Heavy
  • Laser: SWAT 5mW Laser Sight
  • Stock: Wire Stock
  • Ammunition: STANAG 12 Rnd Tube

This Gallo SA12 is so powerful that it’s been banned from Warzone tournaments. Although strong in any close-range situation, it’s especially powerful in solos, as it’ll take out an individual player in only a couple of shots. With attachments to improve its speed and range, it’s the perfect weapon to equip for pushing enemies inside buildings.

Give any of these Shotguns a try in Warzone Season 5 and you’ll be unstoppable while fighting up close and personal.

FaZe Swagg shares Warzone “AIMBOT” STG44 loadout

FaZe Swagg has shared the perfect attachments to make an “aimbot” STG44 AR loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 1.

Published

on

The STG44 has been a reliable option in Warzone Pacific since Vanguard’s integration and FaZe Swagg has just revealed his aimbot STG44 loadout that will have you shooting beams.

Warzone Pacific’s mid-Season 1 update introduced players to the Welgun but it also brought along buffs and nerfs to several established Vanguard weapons. The STG44 was an early favorite when Warzone Pacific launched but was quickly taken over by the Bren.

Now, it seems like the STG44 is enjoying a second stint in the limelight, and FaZe Swagg has just the loadout to turn the Assault Rifle into a killing machine in Warzone Pacific.

Not only did the STG44 receive a buff but the widely popular Bren received a much-needed nerf which allowed players to explore other long-range options.

It didn’t take long for players to revisit an old favorite but this time FaZe Swagg uses different attachments to make the weapon shoot as straight as possible.

FaZe Swagg paired this aimbot STG44 loadout with an MP40 to cover close-range gunfights and racked up 33 kills on his way to a commanding Duos victory.

Swagg explains the STG’s potential, “They buffed the STG a lot making it have no visual recoil and then you got on some of the attachments that I have it makes it an overall top AR meta”.

FaZe Swagg “AIMBOT” STG44 loadout

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: VDD 760mm 05B
  • Optic: G16 2.5x
  • Stock: VDD 34S Weighted
  • Underbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 50 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk 1: Focus
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

Swagg makes this weapon as steady as can be from long-range with the VDD 760mm 05B, VDD 34S Weighted, and m1941 Hand Stop. Thanks to the recent buff Swagg can afford to swap the F8 Stabilizer for the Recoil Booster which increases the fire rate significantly.

The G16 2.5x optic is standard for Warzone Pacific as are the 7.62 Gorenko 50 Round Mags. Finally, Swagg makes an interesting choice to forgo the popular Vital Perk and instead opt for Focus which reduces the amount of flinch given while shot whilst aiming.

This means when enemy players are trying to take Swagg down, he can still get clean shots off and escape with his life.

How to fix Warzone “friends list not showing” glitch

We have a couple of easy and effective methods to fix Warzone’s glitch that makes it so that your friends list doesn’t show anyone online.

Published

on

Warzone and Modern Warfare’s long-standing “friends list not showing” glitch that prevents players from showing up on your friends list is still a constant menace after the Pacific update. Here are some solutions to hopefully fix this glitch for you in both Call of Duty games.

It’s undoubtedly frustrating when the only thing you want to do is play a game online, and certain factors are preventing you from doing so. Aside from obvious internet connectivity worries, there is also Warzone’s infamous “Checking for update” bug and Xbox players not even being able to launch the game.

Another issue that continues to haunt players in Warzone Pacific is a glitched friends list that doesn’t allow you to see anyone else online even though they are, and leaves you unable to invite them. As always, we have some ways that might be able to aid you and resolve the problem.

How to make your friends list visible in Warzone and Modern Warfare

You’ll know if the problem is affecting you because when you select Warzone’s social tab and try to inspect your friends, you’ll be hit with “friends list not showing.”

Just to double-check that your friends are indeed online, just quickly open up your general friends list for the console or platform you’re playing on first to check. If they are showing as online, then use our methods to hopefully make them show online on Call of Duty too.

Here are the most efficient ways to get around the glitch.

#1 – Restart Warzone or Modern Warfare

The classic “have you tried turning it off and on again?” Not only is it a way to fix a computer, but it could also cure your temperamental version of Warzone Pacific.

Here’s how you can try this out:

  1. Simply close Warzone or Modern Warfare
  2. Restart your respective platform
  3. Boot up Warzone or Modern Warfare
  4. Check to see if it now appears

#2 – Link Warzone with Discord

Many players have reported great success by using the official Discord service to link up with their friends and enter games together.

To do link up with Discord:

  1. All players must have their Discord activity status set to ‘On’
  2. Make sure you have connected your ‘Battle.net‘ account to Discord
  3. Have everyone launch Warzone or Modern Warfare
  4. Then all players should join from the same Discord

Plus, Discord is expected to arrive on PlayStation this year, so it will be even easier to link up with friends cross-platform.

#3 – Create a Group

Another possible workaround is for one person to create a Group, customize it, and invite everyone to join.

This is how to create a Group in Warzone:

  1. Go to the ‘Social’ tab
  2. Head to the ‘Groups’ tab
  3. Press to ‘Create a Group’
  4. Create a ‘Group Name’ and ‘Group Tag’
  5. Wait to see if it’s approved
  6. With a successful Group, invite friends via the Group option

#4 – Turn off Crossplay

We’ve already covered extensively how you can turn off crossplay in Warzone and why you should consider doing it. On top of this, it’s also been doing the trick for some people with Warzone and Modern Warfare game invites.

To do this, simply:

  1. Make your way into Warzone’s or Modern Warfare’s ‘Options’ setting
  2. Select your Account
  3. Switch the ‘Crossplay’ function from enabled to disabled
  4. Restart the game
  5. See if it’s worked and whether it has or hasn’t, turn Crossplay back on, and see if the result changes with it

#5 – Simply wait

The easiest and most straightforward idea to try, leave it and hope it fixes itself. Believe it or not, waiting 30-60 seconds could actually fix it and could save you a lot of time than the above fixes.

It won’t work for everyone, but it’s another solution to try and help with this persisting, long-term problem in Warzone and 2019’s Modern Warfare.

Hilarious Warzone bug sets player’s sights on fire

A bizarre Warzone bug has literally set a player’s optic on fire, but players actually loved the design and want it for their own guns.

Published

on

A Warzone player was hit with a hilarious glitch that set their optic on fire, and it looked so cool that players wanted to see it on a future weapon Blueprint.

Call of Duty has offered plenty of wild Blueprint designs such as the Krig 6 sporting dragon wings and the M16 having an alien attached, but a hilarious new Warzone glitch has created one of the best designs yet.

Thanks to a bizarre new bug, a player’s sights were literally set on fire with a flame spouting directly from their optic.

Reddit user ‘davedavewowdave’ said that every weapon’s optic was lit on fire after they were shot whilst lighting a Gas Canister. As we can see in the video attached, a candle-like flame spouts directly in front of the iron sight, completely blocking their view.

Many suggested lighting another Gas Canister to see if it would fix the issue, but the OP never confirmed whether this would work.

While it certainly wasn’t ideal for the player affected, many others wanted to see the design arrive in a future Warzone Blueprint. “People would pay 25 bucks for that bad boy,” said one user.

Of course, it would need to be transparent, unlike the flame that engulfed the OP’s optic. Some wanted the end of the barrel to stay like that instead.

We’re not sure how easy this glitch will be to replicate, but it seems you just need to die whilst lighting a Gas Canister and then win your Gulag. This isn’t the only thing you can do with Gas Canisters either, as they’re the perfect counter to zipline campers.
