Bizarre Vanguard glitch gives Assault Rifle infinite flamethrower attachment

Flamethrower in Call of Duty Vanguard

The flamethrower is a powerful tool in Call of Duty: Vanguard, but a strange glitch has given a player’s Assault Rifle a flamethrower attachment that spews out infinite flames.

Vanguard players had been desperate for the fire grenades, incendiary bullets, and Flamenaut Killstreak to be nerfed. After several tweaks, fire seems to be in a good place, and the maps are no longer constantly ablaze.

However, a strange new glitch has given a player’s BAR a flamethrower attachment, allowing the Assault Rifle to output a ton of flames.

Vanguard Operator in front of Fire

Vanguard has had its fair share of bugs and glitches in the run-up to Season 2, with players’ optics misaligned, undead corpses gliding across the map, and the dreaded aim assist glitch. But sometimes, a glitch comes along that’s more bizarre than game-breaking.

This time, following Vanguard’s February 3 update that made a welcome change to the Panzerfaust camo challenge, a strange new glitch has turned a player’s BAR into a flamethrower.

In a clip uploaded by Reddit user ‘OracleEnlightenment‘, where we can see a player’s BAR is spewing flames from the barrel and setting the map ablaze. Unfortunately, the round is over before we can see what kind of damage it can do.

Whether it actually does damage to a player remains to be seen, but the glitched flamethrower attachment sure looks impressive. Of course, if it can burn through players with the same damage output as the Flamenaut’s flamethrower, then it would be extremely game-breaking.

The flamethrower attachment is seen through Search and Destroy’s spectator cam, so it could purely be a visual glitch. But, it’s probably worth being wary of any players whose weapons are spitting out a constant stream of fire.

Also, be sure to check out the recent leaks that the Ground War mode is returning in Vanguard Season 2.
