The Gulag gives Warzone players a last chance to get back into the action after death, but a strange glitch is apparently punishing those who win their deathmatch.

Warzone’s mid-season update is here, with the headline addition coming in the form of the Welgun SMG, and some major weapon balancing changes.

While Raven did include some bug fixes to improve quality of life, some glitches are still causing havoc.

One of the biggest and most frustrating is happening in The Gulag, causing players who win their 1v1 to end up back in the pre-game lobby.

Warzone Pacific Gulag

In Warzone, The Gulag offers players a second chance at victory. Once you die, you get plopped into a 1v1 deathmatch, where the last man standing gets redeployed back into Pacific Caldera.

Unfortunately, this system isn’t quite working, as players are now reporting that they’re being kicked out of matches, even though they killed their opponent.

In a video uploaded to Reddit, user ‘PinkLyfe69’ showed a video of this glitch in action, sliding around a corner, taking down a motionless enemy, only to see the end-game lobby with their final placement.

According to the comments, this was an issue that had affected the game in Late 2021 but had disappeared. What causes it is unknown, but players will definitely want it to be fixed.

At this time, Raven Software haven’t responded to this issue, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for a possible fix. In the meantime, make sure you’re using the right guns in Caldera with our best Warzone weapons guide.
