Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta player count raised, more fixes included

A new hot fix for the Blackout Beta has rolled out on PS4 that has increased the amount of players per match.

Some users are reporting that they are now seeing up to 88 players per match while playing Blackout; the player count was locked to 80 when the beta started. 

Here’s the full update notes:

  • General:
    • Changed Featured Playlist to DUOs.
    • Raised player cap to 88.
    • General stability and stat-tracking improvements.
    • Quick equip menu will automatically close if not used for 5 seconds.
  • Item Pickups
    • Increased the speed of picking up Items off of the ground – you will still be able to reload your weapon independently without picking an Item up by tapping the reload button.
  • Equipment
    • Reduced duration of Sensor Dart to 2 minutes

Treyarch stated prior to the beta’s start that they were open to changing the player count based on fan feedback and how the game feels and plays during the beta period, but an increase was not originally announced during beta period.
