Black Ops Cold War dev confirms fix for frustrating Zombies Trapper challenge glitch
Treyarch has responded to reports progress has stopped for the Zombies Trapper challenge, with a fix expected in a future major update.
Black Ops Cold War players have reported their progress has frozen in the Zombies Trapper challenge, and Treyarch has confirmed a fix is coming with a future major update.
Black Ops Cold War offers players challenges to earn XP and Calling Cards. There are separate challenges for multiplayer and Zombies, where you have to kill enemies with certain weapons and equipment, for example.
The Trapper is part of Zombies Battle Hardened challenges, in the ‘Zombie Hunter’ tab. For completing it, you unlock a Calling Card depicting a Sentry Gun mowing through the undead. If you complete all of the Battle Hardened Challenges, you receive an animated Calling Card and 10,000 XP.
You must get 500 eliminations while using C4, Energy Mines, or a Sentry Turret. It sounds straightforward enough, but a bug is causing the counter to stop at 255 eliminations.
This is extremely frustrating for players, especially for those who enjoy grinding the challenges.
Treyarch’s response
Many have taken to social media to report the issue, and Community Manager at Treyarch, Josh Torres, responded to a Tweet asking for the issue to be fixed.
He linked to Treyarch’s official Trello Board, which lists all known issues in Black Ops Cold War. Under ‘Zombies Known Issues’ there’s a card for Trapper challenge progress stopping at 255.

The card says that the bug will be fixed in a future major update. Treyarch clarifies what a major update is: “players will obtain this update via a download from their platform of choice. We will not be introducing this fix via an in-game settings update.”
There is currently no expected date for the patch, but Torres said that once they have a timeline, it’ll be updated on the Trello board. It’s possible the Trapper challenge will be fixed at the beginning of Season 1 on December 10, but it could be later.

How to unlock PPSH-41 in Cold War & Warzone Season 3
The fearsome PPSH-41 SMG has arrived in CoD: Cold War Season 3, so here is how to unlock and wield this dangerous weapon.
A returning legend has arrived in Season 3 of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War – the PPSH-41. The devastating SMG can rip enemies apart in seconds, and these are the unlock requirements for it in Call of Duty.
It’s almost like Christmas Day when there’s a new season of content in Call of Duty. Now that the new season has arrived, we’ve been treated to new multiplayer maps, Operators, a ton of weapon balance changes, and of course, new weapons such as the PPSH-41.
The PPSH has tore up CoD games for years with its insanely-high rate of fire and is already being considered a legitimate meta-changer for Cold War and Warzone Season 3.
PPSH-41 unlock requirements in Cold War & Warzone Season 3
As with every new Season of modern Call of Duty games, we have received new maps and weapons to keep the game fresh and exciting.
Nothing has changed in this regard for Season 3, and players will be pleased to know that the PPSH can be in their loadouts very quickly.
To unlock the PPSH-41, players will simply need to reach Level 15 in the Battle Pass. Don’t want to pay for the Battle Pass? Not a problem because just like with the MAC-10 from Season 1 and FARA-83 from Season 2, the PPSH is a free Tier for players to earn naturally.
There are no pay-to-win elements here, and everyone will be able to unlock and use the SMG when they’ve reached the required level.
Also, because the same XP is tied to both Cold War and Warzone, the good news is that you can unlock the PPSH-41 on either game. So you can pick your poison and choose which game will be easier for you to get to Level 15 quicker.
The PPSH-41 has featured in many previous Call of Duty games including the original titles, World at War, and most recently, the Black Ops titles.
Once you’ve got your hands on the PPSH, you can use the best attachments and perks to dominate Warzone Season 3 with it.

How to fix Bravo 433 Destructive Gator error code in Black Ops Cold War
Many Black Ops Cold War players are running into the Bravo 433 Destructive Gator error code that is preventing them from playing.
The launch of Season 3 in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has brought a variety of new things for players to enjoy, but it also has brought the frustrating Bravo 433 Destructive Gator error code.
Players worldwide can now jump into all of the adrenaline-fueled action that Season 3 brings to Black Ops Cold War. Whether it be using new weapons like the PPSH or the Swiss K31 sniper rifle or battling it on one of the new multiplayer maps, there is plenty of the community to be excited about.
Unfortunately, the start of this new period of content has seen some players run into the Bravo 433 Destructive Gator error code that is preventing them from playing.
How to Fix Bravo 433 Destructive Gator error code
You will find that the root of this particular issue is a problem with the connection between you and the game’s servers.
The majority of the time, it is likely that the Call of Duty servers themselves are experiencing some issues, but it never hurts to reset your own connection first to see if that fixes the issue.
If resetting your connection does not solve this problem, then it is the game’s servers themselves that are having trouble and not allowing players to connect to the game. With the launch of Season 3 just having taken place, there will be a great deal of strain on the servers from the increased number of players trying to play and launching the update itself.
Your best bet, in this case, is to quit your game and wait a little bit before trying to connect again, as hopefully, by this time, there will not be as much strain on the servers, and you will be able to connect without any trouble.
As a quick summary:
- Reset your connection.
- If resetting your connection doesn’t work, quit the game.
- Wait for a time where fewer players are likely to be online like mid-day and start the game up again.
It is always frustrating when a problem like this surfaces at the beginning of a new season, as the players affected are no doubt excited to try out all of the new things coming to the game, like the Season 3 Battle Pass and massive weapon balancing.
However, these solutions listed above are your best bet to get past this issue and get started on unlocking weapons in zombies, thanks to a whole new set of challenges added to Black Ops Cold War by Treyarch.
