A Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War developer has officially revealed some future changes coming for the Zombies mode in the near future, most likely in Season 4.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies players have had a blast in Season 3. Players have experienced new maps and weapons and an added Zombies playlist called “Outbreak,” which features the largest map seen in the mode’s history.

As well as some previous leaks surrounding the new Cold War Zombies content players may see in Season 4, including a Berlin survival map, new wonder weapon, and returning perks, players have even more to get excited for as a developer revealed plans for future changes.

Expert Designer at Treyarch, Kevin Drew, revealed over on Twitter that Zombies would be undergoing a few changes in response to a fan’s question.

The fan, @JrrizzoYT, asked Kevin Drew:

“are there any plans to further tune high-round zombie health in the future? With zombie armor nullifying the new headshot multipliers and none of the wunder weapons receiving any buffs to compensate, 120,000 health and 90 damage per hit feels a bit too oppressive.”

In response, Kevin replied:

“Another pass will be coming with the next map. We will be lowering the health cap back closer to the old model but adjusted for all the weapon buffs in Season 3. Also looking at sniper and melee buffs.”

Not only does this reply hint at a future map, which could potentially be the Berlin survival map or second easter egg for the Outbreak mode, it also confirms some future changes for Zombies’ health, as well as buffs to sniper and melee damage.

The first Outbreak easter egg and the subsequent boss fight were essentially a bullet sponge, which had many players feeling as if the weapons didn’t do nearly enough damage, especially those that are supposed to have serious damage like snipers.

It seems the devs are listening and taking in the experience of players and will be issuing updates to get Zombies feeling similar to the “old model,” which many seemed to be much happier with.
