Black Ops Cold War devs investigating camo progression issues

Published

on

Treyarch released a new patch update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on all platforms on December 8.

The new patch update stated that it included a fix for the progression issues with Dark Matter camo challenges.

The patch notes stated that the update included a fix to “address an issue where Mastery camos were not progressing properly for some players, despite being earned.”

Many players confirmed that the new update has fixed their camo progression issue, but others have stated that nothing changed for them. Their Dark Matter camo progression is still stuck, and won’t progress.

Treyarch has confirmed on Reddit that they studio has seen comments on the issue still happening, and the team is now investigating additional fixes for the issue.

“I’m seeing the conversations about this and am relaying it to the team,” Treyarch Community Manager FoxHoundFPS said on Reddit.

There’s no confirmation on when to expect this fix to go live in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Fans have been frustrated that they are unable to progress their camo challenges as they work to unlock Dark Matter in-game.

The next update for Black Ops Cold War is set for December 15 ahead of the Season One launch on December 16.

More information on the new Season One content will be announced as the release date approaches.

It’s time to earn everything in the Season 3 Battle Pass for Call of Duty’s two leading games – Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.

Both of CoD’s leading titles have made some significant changes heading into Season 3. Black Ops Cold War has brought in new maps, a tasty Scorestreak, and re-energized its excellent Outbreak mode.

Whereas Warzone has gone for a complete meta balancing and nuked its map in the process. The one thing that they both have in common, aside from the new PPSH-41 and K31, is the Battle Pass. As with every new season, players can swap between both games and still earn XP towards unlocking everything it has to offer.

If you have all of your CoD Points saved up from the last Premium Battle Pass, you should have just enough to purchase the base one. If you progress it all the way to Tier 100, you’ll have 1,000 COD points for the Season 4 Battle Pass as well.

Swiss K31 in Cold War

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3 has introduced a new Sniper Rifle, the Swiss K31, so here’s how you can get your hands on this new bolt-action rifle.

Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone has begun. On top of new maps and Operators, players can bolster their arsenal with new weapons – the legendary Ballistic Knife, classic PPSH, and the all-new Swiss K31 Sniper Rifle.

The Swiss K31 follows Season 2’s ZRG 20mm Sniper Rifle, but is the polar opposite. While the ZRG is heavy, powerful, and slow, the K31 is described as having “exceptional accuracy, as well as fast rechamber and aiming speeds with a large ammo capacity.”

Here’s how to unlock this new, fast Sniper Rifle in Cold War and Warzone Season 3.

Players can get their hands on the Swiss K31 Sniper Rifle by simply reaching Tier 31 in the Season 3 Battle Pass. And if you miss out on it in this season, it will be available later through a challenge.

You don’t have to pay anything either. The weapon is included as part of the free Battle Pass, so you can follow our guide on how to quickly level up Season 3’s Battle Pass to get your hands on this fast Sniper Rifle in no time.

This is the second weapon you’ll unlock in the Battle Pass, as the PPSH will be unlocked at Tier 15. These weapons aren’t all there is though, as the Ballistic Knife can be unlocked by earning a One Shot, One Kill medal and a Melee kill in the same life in 15 different matches.

Following Cold War’s integration with Warzone, the K31 is available in both battle royale and multiplayer. The devs described how, “Aggressive sharpshooters will be in their element with this new rifle, whether it’s sniping out in the wilds of Warzone or pushing forward on objectives in Black Ops Cold War.”

The Kar98k has long dominated Warzone as the aggressive Sniper Rifle but with the best attachments, the K31 is a worthy contender.

A returning legend has arrived in Season 3 of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War – the PPSH-41. The devastating SMG can rip enemies apart in seconds, and these are the unlock requirements for it in Call of Duty.

It’s almost like Christmas Day when there’s a new season of content in Call of Duty. Now that the new season has arrived, we’ve been treated to new multiplayer maps, Operators, a ton of weapon balance changes, and of course, new weapons such as the PPSH-41.

The PPSH has tore up CoD games for years with its insanely-high rate of fire and is already being considered a legitimate meta-changer for Cold War and Warzone Season 3.

As with every new Season of modern Call of Duty games, we have received new maps and weapons to keep the game fresh and exciting.

Nothing has changed in this regard for Season 3, and players will be pleased to know that the PPSH can be in their loadouts very quickly.

To unlock the PPSH-41, players will simply need to reach Level 15 in the Battle Pass. Don’t want to pay for the Battle Pass? Not a problem because just like with the MAC-10 from Season 1 and FARA-83 from Season 2, the PPSH is a free Tier for players to earn naturally.

There are no pay-to-win elements here, and everyone will be able to unlock and use the SMG when they’ve reached the required level.

Also, because the same XP is tied to both Cold War and Warzone, the good news is that you can unlock the PPSH-41 on either game. So you can pick your poison and choose which game will be easier for you to get to Level 15 quicker.

The PPSH-41 has featured in many previous Call of Duty games including the original titles, World at War, and most recently, the Black Ops titles.

Once you’ve got your hands on the PPSH, you can use the best attachments and perks to dominate Warzone Season 3 with it.
