Get up to speed on everything coming to Black Ops Cold War and Warzone™ in Season Four Reloaded at the Call of Duty Blog, and dive into the details below for everything new arriving on July 15th.

Across all modes, players can get their hands on the new rapid-fire OTs 9 SMG via in-game challenge or Store Bundle starting with the launch of Season Four Reloaded. Later in the season, melee fans will get access to the brutal Mace weapon, which will receive quite the damage upgrade in Zombies along with the rest of the Melee category (see notes below).

Looking for some extra XP every day? Starting this week, completing your first Daily Challenge of the day in Multiplayer or Zombies will now unlock a new Daily 2XP Token Reward. Each day you play, a new randomly selected 2XP or 2X Weapon XP Token will become available. If you don’t complete a Daily Challenge that day, you’ll miss out on that day’s 2XP reward, so be sure to complete at least one Daily Challenge every day to maximize your XP gains.

The Prestige Shop gets an upgrade this week with a new batch of content, including the new “Dark Horse” SMG and “Confrontation” assault rifle Weapon Blueprints to unlock with your Prestige Keys. Visit the Prestige Shop in the Barracks to see what’s new!

And on PlayStation 5, players will be prompted to download new High Resolution Texture Packs at the start of Season Four Reloaded for the best visual experience going forward. These will no longer be installed by default on PlayStation 5 and will need to be downloaded manually for Multiplayer, Zombies, and Dead Ops Arcade 3. If you skip the download upon boot-up, these packs will be available for later download via the in-game Store.

Now… let’s talk Zombies.

The wait is over. After enduring the harrowing events at Projekt Endstation in “Die Maschine,” freeing Samantha Maxis from the Dark Aether in “Firebase Z,” and surviving multiple operations throughout the Ural Mountains Outbreak Zone, Requiem’s strike team has been captured by Kravchenko and taken to Berlin to do his bidding in “Mauer der Toten,” our latest round-based Zombies map.

Your mission: eliminate the undead threat and capture the traitor responsible for the horrors that have overtaken the city, or Requiem’s pilot – known by the call sign “Raptor-1” – will pay with his life. Luckily for you, “Mauer der Toten” is loaded with new weaponry to unleash against the horde, including the new-and-improved Mule Kick Perk, LT53 Kazimir Tactical device, robotic Klaus AI helper, and the CRBR-S Wonder Weapon with four total variants to choose from.

With all these new toys (and a new round of weapon buffs detailed in the patch notes below), Mule Kick is indispensable as the latest addition to the Perk-a-Cola family. While Mule Kick’s base ability to carry a third weapon is back from previous incarnations, you’ll become a well-stocked walking arsenal by the time you’ve upgraded it all the way to Skill Tier V.

Here’s what’s waiting for you:

  • Base ability: Carry a third primary weapon.
  • Skill Tier I: Crafted Equipment grants an additional Equipment if able.
  • Skill Tier II: All enemies have a small chance to drop ammo.
  • Skill Tier III: Stowed weapons slowly refill ammo from stock.
  • Skill Tier IV: 25% chance to keep non-retrievable Equipment when used.
  • Skill Tier V: Third primary weapon is recovered when repurchasing Mule Kick.

Get the full breakdown on Mule Kick at the Call of Duty Blog, including Perk strategies, tips and tricks, and an in-depth guide to getting the most out of all five Skill Tiers. And for all those “Easter Egg” hunters out there, we’ll be turning on the Main Quest in “Mauer der Toten” at 10AM PT / 1PM ET July 15th. Plan accordingly!

As we mentioned in our blog last week, we’re also significantly reducing the health caps of enemies in Zombies, reducing armor durability for Medium and Heavy zombies, buffing sniper rifles and Pack-a-Punched melee weapons, and adjusting damage scaling for certain Equipment, Support, and Field Upgrades for a more fulfilling zombie-killing experience. Check out the patch notes below for all the juicy details on what’s changing with this week’s update.

We’re also introducing a new feature on all round-based maps: Dynamic Wall Buys. Now, Wall Buy weapons will have a chance to increase in rarity every five rounds all the way up to Legendary, so players will have more options to choose from as the rounds get higher. This should introduce more variety and purpose to Wall Buys at high rounds, as it’s definitely worth looking around to see which weapons have been upgraded as the match goes on.

Later in the season, a younger version of Requiem’s own Grigori Weaver will become a playable Operator in Zombies, Multiplayer, and Warzone in the upcoming Tracer Pack: Weaver Operator Bundle in the Store. His “Kremlin’s Eye” Operator Skin is a classic throwback to the Weaver we all met back in the O.G. Black Ops, just after his eye was taken by Lev Kravchenko. Samantha isn’t the only one who gets to have a little fun in the field!

We’ve also got new updates for Dead Ops Arcade 3, including the new First Person Solo Advanced Start playlist, the mysterious addition of “Mama’s” “Armory Basket,” plus several gameplay adjustments and stability fixes. We’ve got even more planned for Dead Ops Arcade in the future, so stay tuned!

And on PlayStation, Zombies receives its 20th Onslaught map (!!) with the addition of Rush, complete with new Dark Aether story Intel to unlock. Players can also jump into the insane new Onslaught Accelerated mode, featuring an endless barrage of enemies that never stop spawning and a Dark Aether orb that never stops moving. Killing enemies even increases the speed of the orb for a short period, so the action truly never stops.

As an exclusive bonus, you’ll be rewarded with the “Chemtaminate” LMG Weapon Blueprint if you’re tough enough to survive 20 Surges in Onslaught Accelerated. Good luck!

We’re bringing a non-stop mix of new and classic action to Multiplayer in Season Four Reloaded, starting with the return of Rush from Black Ops II. This iconic paintball arena joins the 6v6 map rotation with its own Rush 24/7 Featured Playlist this week, along with one of our all-time favorite MP modes, Capture the Flag. Hailing from the early days of Call of Duty, this one needs no introduction… capture the enemy flag, protect your own, and rack up the most captures to take the win.

The new Cranked Moshpit also drops this week, bringing Cranked Team Deathmatch and Cranked Kill Confirmed to Black Ops Cold War for the very first time. If you’ve played Cranked Hardpoint (or even Cranked in Zombies), you know the drill: eliminate enemies to become Cranked and earn buffs, and keep getting kills before your Cranked Timer runs out!

Next week, we’re bringing Paintball Moshpit into the mix as well, featuring a mix of 6v6 respawn modes with paintball impact visuals and sound effects. NukeJacked 24/7, Snipers Only Moshpit, and Gunfight Blueprints also return this week alongside Face Off 6v6, Party Games, and Multi-Team, so there’s no shortage of action at the launch of Season Four Reloaded, no matter how you play.

Oh, one more thing… we’ve heard from those players who went the extra mile in Cranked Hardpoint to earn the hidden Nuke Scorestreak, and we’re bringing it to the rest of Multiplayer. Starting this week, players will now be able to call in a Nuke by earning 30 kills without dying in all modes, with the exceptions of League Play and CDL variants, Multi-Team, Party Games, and Gunfight. “Going nuclear” suddenly takes on a whole new meaning…

Shortly after the launch of Season Four Reloaded, competitive fans will have even more rewards to earn in League Play, including new CDL-themed Weapon Blueprints, Weapon Charms, Emblems, Stickers, and XP bonuses at milestones up to 100 wins:

  • 10 Wins: Weapon Charm, Sticker, Emblem
  • 20 Wins: Pistol Blueprint, Weapon Charm, Sticker, Emblem
  • 35 Wins: Weapon Charm, Sticker, Emblem
  • 50 Wins: Assault Rifle Blueprint, Weapon Charm, Sticker, Emblem
  • 75 Wins: Weapon Charm, Sticker, Emblem
  • 100 Wins: SMG Blueprint, Weapon Charm, Sticker, Emblem

Progress toward these milestones will begin in Season Four Reloaded for all players. With this update, we’re also removing Standoff from the CDL Hardpoint map rotation and addressing an issue that could prevent players from being promoted or demoted to the appropriate Skill Division.

What better way to kick off Season Four Reloaded? Starting at 10AM PT July 16th through July 19th, we’re turning on 2XP and 2X Weapon XP for everyone in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, so everyone can hit their next Prestige, max out the new OTs 9 SMG, and earn those Prestige Keys twice as fast.

See you online.

CoD Points price: How to buy, spend & do they carry over

CoD Points are the official currency of Call of Duty. Check out CoD Point prices, where to buy them, and whether they transfer between games.

Activision’s in-game currency lets players purchase cosmetics for their characters, and we’ve got everything you need to know about CoD Points prices, how to buy them, and all the items you can spend them on.

Call of Duty offers a huge palette of extra goodies you can add to your game, requiring players to spend their own currency named CoD Points to acquire them.

CoD Points can be purchased in-game using the menu systems in games like Vanguard or Warzone or through console marketplaces like the PS Store or Xbox Marketplace.

The gaming landscape has changed over the years with the incorporation of microtransactions and live-gaming services. Many games offer extra content – with cosmetics being a big proponent of this. With Vanguard and Warzone offering special Attack on Titan and Christmas skins as well as unique weapon Blueprints for popular weapons, it becomes easy to see why players would want to spend CoD Points.

CoD Points prices

There are different amounts and bundles you can opt for when buying CoD Points that are tailored to different needs.

Some players just need to top up their account with a few hundred points to get the latest bundle. Whereas others need a big restock with the intention of spending many points. The more points you want, the bigger the discounts grow.

Here are the different prices for the various CoD Points bundles:

  • 200 CoD Points: $1.99 / £1.79
  • 500 CoD Points: $4.99 / £4.31
  • 1,000 (+100 Bonus) CoD Points: $9.99 / £8.49
  • 2,000 (+400 Bonus) CoD Points: $19.99 / £16.79
  • 4,000 (+1,000 Bonus) CoD Points: $39.99 / £34.99
  • 7,000 (+2,500 Bonus) CoD Points: $74.99 / £69.99
  • 10,000 (+3,000 Bonus) CoD Points: $99.99 / £84.99
  • 15,000 (+6,000 Bonus) CoD Points: $149.99 / £123.99

How to buy COD Points

You can be very flexible with how you buy COD Points as there are a few different ways to do so. To make sure you’re buying them for the right platform, just double-check with our guide on transferring COD Points across platforms.

There are four ways you can buy COD Points:

  • PC players can purchase CoD Points on the website
  • PS4 & PS5 players can purchase CoD Points in the PS Store on their console, or on the PlayStation website
  • Xbox Series X, Series S, or One players can buy CoD Points on the Xbox Marketplace on their console, or the official Microsoft Store website
  • Select physical retailers stock vouchers and gift cards with a code that players can redeem for CoD Points.

Where to spend CoD Points

Spending your CoD Points is incredibly easy, with players able to purchase cosmetic bundles and Blueprints in the in-game store.

The stores are available in Vanguard, Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare, so you can kit out your character regardless of your preferred title.

Do CoD Points carry over across games?

The good news is that your CoD Points will transfer across your Call of Duty games, as they are linked to your Activision account.

Players who still have CoD Points in their account from Black Ops Cold War don’t need to worry, as they will automatically be in your account when turning to Vanguard.

What can I buy with COD Points?

Call of Duty’s currency is used to primarily buy two things: the Battle Pass for the current season and Bundles containing a variety of items.

Battle Pass

A Battle Pass is a paid Tier system that allows regular players to earn dozens of extra rewards and cosmetics for essentially playing the game.

Vanguard and Warzone Pacific are currently in Season 1 at the moment. Both titles are currently running in tandem with each other and share the same Battle Pass.

It features 100 Tiers for players to smash their way through the course of Season 1, and if players are committed enough, they can actually earn enough CoD Points, through leveling up the pass, to get the next one for free.

You can buy the Vanguard & Warzone Season 1 Battle Pass via a couple of different methods:

The other main content you can buy is a wide range of Bundles and Operator Bundles. These special bundles vary in price, and each comes with its own unique items.

The collectibles you can expect to find are Calling Cards, Emblems, Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Weapon Charms, and more.

Season 1 Vanguard update set to sync progression from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Treyarch’s latest announcement has detailed how Black Ops Cold War progression will sync to Vanguard with upcoming update.

As season 6 of Black Ops Cold War comes to a close, the devs have announced that an update will allow progress earned in last year’s title to sync to Vanguard.

Call of Duty players have just received confirmation that playing previous Call of Duty titles will work toward progressing in Vanguard. A new update is set to hit Black Ops Cold War on December 6th in preparation for the massive launch of Vanguard Season 1 on December 8.

The patch notes detail synchronized progression with Vanguard as well as new Prestige Levels and rewards, Season Challenge unlocks for the past six seasons, new Prestige Shop content, and weapon balancing.

Black Ops Cold War fans will be happy to hear that the game is going to continue to receive updates alongside Call of Duty: Vanguard. The latest announcement from Treyarch shares plenty of info concerning shared progression across Call of Duty titles.

Players will enjoy synced progression from each of Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, and Warzone toward Vanguard. This may seem complicated but it just means that playing any of the three titles mentioned above will earn progression for Vanguard.

Synced progression entails unlocking Military Rank, weapons, Equipment, and Killstreaks. In addition, there will be a ton of interesting details such as allowing players to showcase their lifetime Prestige number earned across past titles.

Some changes will go live on December 6 while the rest will occur on December 8.

Patch Notes

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Will you be able to use Cold War and Modern Warfare weapons in Warzone Pacific?

Our quick and easy guide will answer the question of whether or not players can use Cold War and Modern Warfare guns in Warzone Pacific.

One question on everyone’s mind ahead of Warzone Pacific’s Caldera map is whether or not you’ll be able to use Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War’s guns in it. We will answer that for you today.

Call of Duty: Warzone already has a ridiculously bloated arsenal of weapons for players to choose from. With over 100 guns to select as of Warzone Season 6, the transition into Warzone Pacific and the new Caldera map will see all of Vanguard’s guns added.

However, this begs the question for many players, will the new map and addition of nearly 40 Vanguard weapons mean that either Modern Warfare or Black Ops Cold War weapons need to miss out?

Can you use Modern Warfare and Cold War weapons in Warzone Pacific?

Fans of any of Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War’s weapons will be pleased to know that they too will also be carrying over into Warzone Pacific.

In an exclusive interview with Dexerto, Zach Hodson, Lead Designer at Sledgehammer Games discussed how Vanguard’s weapons will have to be considered when being added to all the other existing guns in the game.

He said that SHG has to keep a “separate balance sheet to track how things might work in Warzone.” Presumably, this is to factor in the extra 40 guns, taking Warzone up to a total of about 150 guns for players to use.

It should be noted that Warzone Pacific game modes will tailor the guns to its different game modes. Warzone Caldera Battle Royale will allow the use of all guns, whereas Vanguard-specific modes will only allow the use of Vanguard weapons.

How to use Cold War & MW weapons in Warzone Pacific

Whilst there’s nothing concrete just yet, we think that to use these weapons in Warzone Pacific, players will simply be able to select the ones they have unlocked once the Season 1 integration with Vanguard goes live.

When Black Ops Cold War and Warzone merged, it was a simple case of players being able to use the guns that they’d unlocked in Cold War, Modern Warfare, and Warzone. If you hadn’t unlocked a certain gun, then you could complete a challenge condition that was different in each game.

We expect this to be exactly the same in Warzone Pacific, and it’ll be up to the preference of the player, and their availability of each CoD game, to decide how to unlock particular weapons.

We’ll be sure to update this once Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software have provided a bit more official insight into the integration of weapons.

In the meantime, check out everything we know about Vanguard and Warzone Season 1.
