Black Ops Cold War Zombies bug makes the game unplayable

There’s a new bug in Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode, and it makes the game completely unplayable when it occurs, ruining games instantly.

Call of Duty Zombies is a game mode famous for its endless wave-based survival mode against the undead. In a normal game, players begin with their selected loadouts, eliminate zombies for points, and upgrade their character and weaponry.

Well, what if we were to tell you that sometimes, your upgrades and purchases could destroy your game? What if you upgraded a weapon during a game and then magically lost every single weapon in your inventory, causing your player to be defenseless?

This is exactly what happened to Redditor kamikaze123456 during a game of Black Ops Cold War Zombies, leaving them defenseless against the undead. You can see the footage below, where the player is forced to simply run around the map without any weapon.

Making things worse, the player also couldn’t use any of his equipment, or pick up any weapons from the wall, essentially halting any progress that could be made in-game. Normally, when a glitch like this arises, players can easily resupply and get back into the fight, but not in this particular circumstance.

According to the poster, the bug arose when he upgraded his armor, resulting in his weapons just disappearing into thin air.

Funny enough, this doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident, with other Redditors commenting that they too have experienced this. One user mentioned he had this same error occur when purchasing a gun, and another was more specific, adding that it happened to him while upgrading a gun from the purple to gold rarity.

Hopefully, this bug is fixed soon, as the new Firebase Z map is slated to release February 4. As of now, the only way to fix this issue is to restart the game in solos or to die in a multiplayer game.
