Black Ops Cold War Season 2 adds new Shot Tracker System
The useful Shot Tracker System from previous CoD games has made a return in Season 2 of Black Ops Cold War, easily telling players the effectiveness of each weapon they use.
One of the golden rules of shooters is to quite simply – aim for the head. This is where players can, 9 times out of 10, expect to deliver the most resounding punishment and end engagements a lot quicker. it doesn’t matter if you’ve got a blistering Bullfrog in your hands or an accurate AUG, you need to ensure you have the right setup for you.
Sometimes it can be difficult to tell if the gun you’re using is actually getting the job done, however. You may have the wrong gun with the right attachments or vice versa, and it’s really hard to tell which. Thanks to the forthcoming Season 2 update though, this will now be possible thanks to the Shot Tracker System.
A user on Reddit by the name of mack180 has captured official evidence showing the return of the system.
In the picture, it shows our player’s stats recorded across every gun they’ve fired in the game. The usual stats are there for all to be seen such as total eliminations with the gun, accuracy, headshot percentage, and the range at which they get kills with.
Closer inspection reveals that a new detail has been added, and it is in fact the Shot Tracker System itself. In the bottom-right corner of the page, you can see a body with different parts of them highlighted:
- Head
- Upper Arm
- Lower Arm
- Upper Torso
- Mid Torso
- Lower Body
Each section is clearly designated and comes with an adjacent percentage total to indicate how often you’re hitting specific parts of your opponents.
This level of specific, detailed information is vital as it will allow players to understand how they’re handling the recoil of their weapons.
It also shows if it’s the fault of the user as well because if the Head percentage equates to a poor overall ratio, then it would suggest a different approach is required.
In the grand scheme of things, this is a very useful and nifty bit of information that CoD players can make the most of to try and go further beyond in Season 2 of Black Ops Cold War.
