Leak claims 12 maps still coming to Black Ops Cold War
Despite the rumored Call of Duty: Vanguard title on its way, Cold War is showing no signs of stopping as a leak has suggested players have 12 more maps to look forward to.
Each new season of Black Ops Cold War always comes saddled with new maps, guns, game modes, and all the usual elements of a new season. Season 4 reintroduced Hijacked and Rush into the Cold War universe as extra maps for players to enjoy.
We’re not too far away from the game being a year old, and the anticipated unveiling of the rumored Vanguard 2021 iteration in the franchise. Yet, Treyarch still apparently has plenty left in the pipeline as a leak has suggested that 12 more maps are expected to feature in Cold War over the coming months.
Following the example set by Modern Warfare, it seems that not all players are desperate to move away from a CoD title to jump onboard the new one.
2019’s Modern Warfare reboot has managed to retain a healthy following of players, so much so that the game has continued to receive extra content well into its lifecycle.
According to MW2 OG, “There is still about 12 maps designed for Cold War yet to come. Say 3 each for S5 and S5, then a bunch post-season. That’s a nice amount of maps. Pretty sure there may be a remake post-launch too.”
For players that enjoy Black Ops Cold War and may not want to make the leap to the new CoD straightaway, this is good news.
Cold War has managed to remain quite popular since its release, and with the ongoing hackers and cheaters making their presence known in Warzone, Cold War could still remain a solid option past November.
