Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players are supposedly going to be treated to more nostalgia in Season 5 with the return of Plaza and Yemen, according to MW2 OG.

It’s no secret that Activision loves to bring back maps from previous Call of Duty games to modernize them and introduce them to a newer audience. Not only that, but it’s easier to give an old map a new coat of paint, rather than create a new one from scratch.

Black Ops Cold War has seen Express, Raid, Nuketown, Hijacked, and Standoff all make an appearance in the 80s shooter. With plenty of time until the rumored Call of Duty: Vanguard 2021 title, leaker MW2 OG has outed Plaza and Yemen as the next Cold War remasters.

Old maps being rumored are nothing new, with previous leaks pointing towards Standoff coming back in Season 3, and most recently Hijacked being earmarked for Season 4.

They both came true and now Call of Duty leaker MW2 OG has been very direct in saying that Plaza and Yemen will be resurfacing in Black Ops Cold War Season 5.

In a very short and to-the-point Tweet, MW2 OG said: “Should be seeing Yemen and/or Plaza for Season 5.”

The reception to the announcement received some mixed responses with one person saying: “C’mon man, we need Black Ops 1 or 3 maps, these maps aren’t good enough for remastering, give me Combine, Summit, or Firing Range.”

Whereas another user argued: “We’ve already had Firing Range in all four Black Ops games before this, and Launch already came back in BO4. Remastering the same maps is boring, let them remaster other maps.”

The hype train for map remakes has already started for Call of Duty: Vanguard too with recent leaks pointing towards “London Docks & more classic maps” coming to the game. Even more shockingly, the classic Modern Warfare map Terminal is set for a 1940s overhaul too.
