Treyarch has announced during their Road to Launch live stream that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s new Blackout mode will feature 88 players for Solos and Duos, and 100 players for Quad at launch.

Treyarch tested out many different numbers for Blackout during its beta. The beta started with 80 players, going to 88, and ending at 100 players during the testing period.

Vahn also mentioned that, for Quads, he wants the numbers to be upped for Special Events. “What number evenly divides by 5?” That would be 115. Treyarch has teased that they want 115 players during special events for the “fun of the lore.”
