Call of Duty: WWII debuts at #1 on UK sale chart, sales ‘significantly higher’ than Infinite Warfare

The latest UK game sale chart has been shared and has confirmed that Call of Duty: WWII was the #1 game last week in the UK, following a disappointing 2016 year for Call of Duty with Infinite Warfare.

The UK sales chart only counts for physical retailer sales not digital. Sales were 57% higher for WWII versus Infinite Warfare, but revenue was only up 21% this year because Infinite Warfare’s Legacy Edition was more expensive and sold more units.

The physical retail sales has not passed Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s launch in UK in 2015, but digital sales has not been accounted for yet. GamesIndustry.Biz states that digital version of WWII were significantly higher year over year and on track for what Activision expected.

In UK, 57% of physical sales were the PS4 versions. 42% were for Xbox One, with the remaining 1% on PC.
