Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Black Market Returns
Activision and Treyarch have announced that the Black Market Customization System returns to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 starting today, Friday, October 19 on PS4, with Xbox One and PC to get this feature one week later on October 26.
The Black Market serves as the one-stop shop for awesome gear and new ways to express yourself in Black Ops 4 and brings big changes to give players more options to earn and enjoy new content. It starts with players having more choice than ever.
Treyarch has announced the new ‘Contraband Stream’ feature in the Black Market in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. It allows users to earn new items by just progressing in game, meaning there’s new ways to earn free loot within Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
The Contraband stream in the Black Market provides a progression path to earn the items you want simply by playing the game. That means a ton of new ways to show off your personal style.
Black Ops 4’s Contraband Items will be seasonal based through Operations, with new Operation delivering new content every few months. The first Operation is Operation First Strike, and it goes live on PS4 today. All of these streams are free for all players.
These Operations bring a ton of great gear and items that everyone can access:
- New playable characters will be released with each new Operation.
- Cool customization content built around themes for all Specialists in-game; you can even mix and match the look of your character within outfit sets.
- Whether you’re taunting opponents or celebrating a victory, Tags and Gestures are a perfect way to express yourself in the game.
The rewards as part of the system will be available in MP and Blackout.
In addition, within the Black Market, there will be additional themed gear to earn with Special Events. The first Special Event begins October 20 on PS4 (coming to Xbox One and PC a week later) and lets users earn Halloween-themed gear through the free Halloween Special Event stream.
Lastly, there’s also the new Blackjack’s Shop, which is coming in November. This allow users to get direct access of certain gear items through a store. The store will refresh weekly.
This is the place to go for direct purchase of certain pieces of gear with limited availability. The shop refreshes weekly with a variety of Items and gives players another way to get cool content.
