Call of Duty franchise now exceeds $11 billion in retail sales worldwide since 2003 launch

Activision today issued their Q4 results and have stated that since Call of Duty’s 2003 launch, the franchise now exceeds $11 billion in retail sales worldwide.

In other stats, Activision once again confirmed that Advanced Warfare was the #1 game of 2014, and that Call of Duty franchise was #1 for the sixth straight year.

Activision Publishing’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was the #1 top‐selling console game globally for the calendar year. Additionally, in 2014, Call of Duty was the #1 franchise in North America for the sixth year in a row. Call of Duty franchise revenues now exceed $11 billion in retail sales worldwide since it first launched in 2003.
