Call of Duty League announces new 2020 season schedule
Activision Blizzard Esports has announced an updated 2020 schedule for the Call of Duty League, after announcing a few weeks back that all live in-person Home Series events will be canceled.
The new schedule shifts the Call of Duty League to an online league. The entire online league will be broadcasted to fans on the Call of Duty League YouTube Channel.
“I spent many years at the NFL, and saw firsthand how sports can lift the human spirit,” said commissioner Johanna Faries in a statement. “No one wants to be in this situation, but we are, and we’re thankful that Call of Duty League can forge ahead and deliver live competition to fans when it’s probably needed most.”
The structure for the league remains the same, as each Home Series online event will feature eight teams competing from Friday through Sunday.
The season returns starting on April 10 with the Dallas Home Series. Eight teams will be competing Friday through Sunday as the fight to reach the top of the CDL Standings continues.

- April 10 – 12: Dallas Home Series
- April 24 – 26: Chicago Home Series
- May 8 – 10: Florida Home Series
- May 22 – 24: Seattle Home Series
- June 5 – 7: Minnesota Home Series
- June 19 – 21: Paris Home Series
- July 10 – 12: New York Home Series
- July 17 – 19: London Home Series
- July 24 – 26: Toronto Home Series
The Call of Duty League also says the spent extensive time testing how the league will work online to ensure fair competition for all players and teams. In this QA, the company says that they have worked closely with studios and internal technology teams to test and establish new dedicated servers for Call of Duty League matches.
