Call of Duty League to be played on PS4, feature $6 million prize pool

Activision Blizzard has announced the official branding for the new 2020 Call of Duty League, which will feature the franchising format with 12 teams in 11 cities in North America and Europe.

As part of the new branding, the League launched their official website at CallofDutyLeague.com, and the website has revealed new details on the league.

The league will be played only on PlayStation 4 and it will feature $6 million prize pool in its first year.

The Season in 2020 will end with the Call of Duty League Championship, crowning the winner of the first ever franchised league season.

The Call of Duty® League™ is a global, city-based esports league composed of 12 professional teams, representing 11 markets across North America and Europe. In its inaugural season, pro teams compete in 5-versus-5 Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® multiplayer matches, exclusively on PlayStation®4. The professional competition will travel from city to city, featuring the best Call of Duty® esports players from around the globe battling for over $6 Million and the ultimate prize: The Call of Duty League Championship.
