CoD Mobile Season 9: Zombies are Back is here, so we’re breaking down everything you need to know about the update including the full patch notes, return of Classic Zombies, Krig 6 weapon, Halloween map, and more.

Season 8: Train to Nowhere brought a plethora of fun content for Call of Duty Mobile players to check out, including brand-new weapons like the ZRG 20mm from Black Ops Cold War and new maps.

Now, Season 9 has arrived with a Halloween overhaul for Call of Duty’s mobile shooter. Here’s everything you need to know about CoD Mobile Season 9, including the Zombies mode’s return, the new Assault Rifle, Battle Pass, and the full patch notes.

We’ll go over everything that we know about CoD Mobile Season 9.

CoD Mobile Season 9 release date

Call of Duty: Mobile’s Season 9’s Zombies are Back update went live as planned on October 12 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET / 1 AM BST (October 13).

Season 9 is expected to last the usual five weeks, with November’s Season 10 celebrating CoD Mobile’s 3rd Anniversary.

Krig 6 Assault Rifle arrives in CoD Mobile Season 9

Krig 6 in CoD Mobile

After Season 8 brought the ZRG 20mm to CoD Mobile, the developers added another Black Ops Cold War weapon to the game in Season 9 — the Krig 6 Assault Rifle.

The Krig 6 was a meta choice in both Cold War and Warzone, so it should be well worth unlocking for free at Tier 21 of the Season 9 Battle Pass.

You can also get your hands on a Mythic skin called ‘Ice Drake’ for the Krig 6, and this Blueprint was previously available back in Season 2 of Warzone as well as Black Ops Cold War.

Classic Zombies returns in CoD Mobile Season 9

On September 18, the Call of Duty Mobile YouTube account uploaded a video titled “Horde Incoming” that showed the undead coming to attack. In the description, they announced that “Zombies Classic is coming back to CoD Mobile.”

This mode has appeared multiple times in the game since 2019 and has returned in Season 9 to help players get into the Halloween spirit, facing off against Zombies on the Shi No Numa map. Zombies returns as an LTM, so make sure you play in Season 9 before it’s removed again.

Season 9 also features the Super Attack of the Undead mode in which one player will be chosen at the start of the match to join the Zombies. The rest of the survivors will have to battle this player along with the AI enemies.

In addition to bringing back Zombies, the CoD Mobile devs are also getting players into a festive mood by giving the Hacienda map a Halloween-themed makeover in the Season 9 update.

When you explore the map, you’ll come across cobwebs, pumpkin heads, and a ghostly set of ships by the lakefront. This multiplayer map will be in rotation throughout the duration of Season 9.
