Call of Duty: Mobile Season 3 is just a few days away, and a new tweet from the game’s developers has seemingly confirmed that Modern Warfare’s Renetti pistol will be added to the mobile title.

While Call of Duty remains most popular on PC and consoles, Call of Duty: Mobile has built a rabid audience since its release in October 2019.

To keep the game fresh, Activision have been using seasons to introduce new content to the game, and with Season 2 almost finished, the developers have been teasing some of the new additions players can look forward to seeing.

The PP19 Bizon has already been confirmed as a new SMG to add to your arsenal, while the new Coastal map will give players a new location to do battle. Now, CoD: Mobile Season 3 is set to get a new secondary, with Modern Warfare’s Renetti set to join the ranks.

In a tweet from the official CoD: Mobile account, the developers confirmed that a “new pistol is making its way to the next season,” asking players to guess which weapon it could be.

After some keen sleuthing from fans, it was finally discovered that the outline in the image matches perfectly with Modern Warfare’s Renetti, a powerful option at close range which was able to take down enemies with just three bullets.

Even at longer distances it could be impressive, with four body shots enough to eliminate opponents, although the damage statistics may change when it is added to CoD: Mobile.

With two new weapons and a map already confirmed, it’s no surprise that fans are anxiously awaiting the release of the new season. Players have even more to look forward to as the year goes on, with devs confirming that Zombies will make their triumphant return later in 2021.

How players will get their hands on the Renetti once Season 3 starts remains to be seen, but it’s likely it will be unlocked as part of the Battle Pass.
