Despite being a long-time fan and previous developer of the franchise, Dr Disrespect has flamed Activision for not inviting the 2x to the Call of Duty Next event ahead of Modern Warfare 2.

Dr Disrespect has been pretty critical of Call of Duty over the past few years, falling out of love with Warzone while also not giving Vanguard the time of day.

The Doc has been passionate about what he feels Call of Duty needs to do in order to succeed, feeling as if Warzone is not living up to the standards that the franchise has set themselves.

With Modern Warfare 2 on the horizon, the 2x Champion has been vocal about his feelings towards the game, especially when comparing it to his own FPS shooter DEADROP which is set to release in the future.

As we approach the beta weekend for Modern Warfare 2 and the Call of Duty Next event, Dr Disrespect has revealed his feeling about not being invited to the showcase, believing his criticism is being taken the wrong way.

During his September 12 YouTube stream, Dr Disrespect explained that his criticism of Call of Duty is simply because he cares, explaining that when he’s “ripping Call of Duty…it’s because I love Call of Duty and I want it to be the best.”

The Doc takes it further, saying “a lot of people don’t get that…you know who doesn’t get it? Activision. They don’t f*cking get it.” The Doc feels that the absence of an invite to the Call of Duty Next event shows it, as he says “to be not invited to the Call of Duty Next Event, are you kidding me?”

Clearly, the Doc isn’t happy about his relationship with Activision, feeling as if they misunderstand his criticism, not inviting him to events like “they used to.” For now, the Doc will have to watch from home like the rest of us.
