Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2‘s mid-Season 1 update is officially here, bringing the first-ever Raid, Gaz as an Operator, weapon buffs and nerfs, and the classic Shipment map.
There’s also a new weapon, the Chimera Assault Rifle, also known as the Honey Badger, has joined Season 1’s BAS-P, Victus XMR, and M13B in the Gunsmith.
Here’s how you can unlock the Chimera in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded.
How to unlock the Chimera in Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players can unlock the Chimera Assault Rifle through either a Store Bundle, extracting it from Building 21 in DMZ, or getting 2 Operator Kills with ARs in 15 separate matches.
While players may think extracting with the weapon in DMZ will be easier, it can only be extracted by visiting Building 21, which currently remains a mystery, as it is not in Al Mazrah and Activision have confirmed that they won’t be telling players how to get there.
Building 21 is also currently not in the game, but as soon as we have more information about when it’s live in DMZ and how to get there, we’ll be updating this piece so stay tuned.
The Chimera features an “integrated suppressor and slow, high-energy .300 BLK rounds.” It also boasts Subsonic Ammo that hides skulls from the enemy team, and the developers stated that the Chimera is “adept at close-quarters combat,” and they recommend pairing it with a “rifle or LMG suited for longer ranges in an Overkill Loadout.”
If you want to purchase the Chimera as part of a bundle, the Dark Skies bundle comes with the Darkcell Weapon Blueprint for the Chimera and is available in the Store right now.
Be sure to also check out when the next Double XP event arrives so you can start leveling up the Chimera extremely fast.
